I'll start this review by saying I'm no booshie brunch snob and I'm easily pleased so I may not be the exact critic that will help sway your decision but I do know good flavors when I taste them and this place was great. Had the Spinach, Quinoa and Chicken salad. It was great. It was tasty, fresh and healthy. all the ingredients were extremely fresh... Chicken was cooked perfectly without being dry and the Asian glaze on the chicken was really good. It was a deconstructed type salad... I just chop everything up and mixed it altogether in the bowl. Two words that will make you lick your lips - Biscuit Beignets. They were absolutely wonderful. Service was great, food was brought quickly for a Saturday afternoon. Easily one of our favorite brunch spots in the area. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and amazing food. Should note that if you're planning to visit on a weekend - be prepared to wait. Yum. Yum. Yum. I had heard of this place, and I finally had the time to try it out the weekend before Christmas. It was a gorgeous day so we sat outside. We ordered the beignets to split -- so, so good! They were the best I've had in the Triangle actually! I ordered the veggie omelette. OMG. It was perfect -- especially the goat cheese! We went to try this restaurant a few weeks ago. After reading the reviews and menu we were pretty excited. The restaurant's decor and atmosphere is really nice. We were quickly seated (lunch on a weekday). We ordered the beignets. They were very good with or without the orange marmalade that they are served with. Unfortunately, after that things were just average. Our server wasn't very attentive/ disappeared after or food arrived. And the food left something to be desired. Most of it tasted like it came from frozen or canned especially the hash browns and crab cakes. The kicker was the fact that we had our 7 month old son with us and I took him into the restroom to change him and there was no changing table. This restaurant seemed good for kids and families but obviously not. So I got to wrap up a mediocre meal on the floor of a public restroom. I know this may not seem like a big deal to a lot of the people eating there but I was just really surprised that a brand new restaurant would have failed to install a changing table. Nothing particularly negative about this place but nothing particularly positive either. Came here with my mom, I got shrimp and grits (mediocre) and my mom got the traditional breakfast, pretty standard but the sausage was bland and a bit dry. Coffee was 2.50 each. Service was okay. read more

This is one of the best breakfast places we have found in the area. Although we have only visited two times, we definitely plan on going again. There is often a wait for Sunday brunch, but the food is well worth the wait. The menu features a huge selection of Eggs Benedict. Although I have not tried all of them, the 2 that we did get were incredibly good. The eggs are served at just the right amount of done without being undercooked. The Black Bean Benedict features little cakes of deliciousness that are perfectly crispy and incredibly flavorful. On my second visit, I tried the breakfast burrito and I was not at all disappointed. It was stuffed with eggs, potatoes and chorizo which perfectly melded together for quite a tasty dish. This location is a little on the small side, as it is sandwiched into a busy shopping center, but the space available is put to excellent use. They typically offer free pastry samples and coffee for those who are waiting for their tables, which is a very nice feature when there is a long wait. Overall, this is our new go-to breakfast/brunch spot in the area because of its convenient location, amazing selection, and delicious food. read more

Tasted good however i went home and started having diarrhea i called the manager up and he told me you cant get food poisoning for 24hr and he read it in the osha handbook. Im an osha certified cma and called him out on that being rong and explained its the only thing ive eaten all day and he just blew it off. Oh. My. GOD. This place is freaking fantastic. They have the absolute best grits I have ever had in my entire life. Seriously, folks, get the city grits. Keep small children and the elderly away, because the bliss you will feel may make you physically lash out, they are THAT good. Orgasmic. When my wife and I come to the Raleigh area, we make sure to beeline straight there for the grits alone! However, that's not all. I've had virtually EVERYTHING on their menu, and it's all ridiculously good. Bacon? Thick as a plank and delicious. Sausage? Seriously the best I have eaten. My personal go-to is the Eggs Benedict with a side of bacon, sausage and city grits. Oh, and their coffee is great, too! You cannot go wrong coming to this place. read more

Great breakfast/brunch food. I had the oh Ricky but without the sausage and it was super. Potatoes were perfect, eggs were light and not greasy. The person I went with had bananas foster French toast. He raved about how good it was. We will be back! For those who like mimosas and bloody Mary's, they have a bar. read more

I've been to another broken egg cafe twice and the first I was impressed enough to want to take my friend there. The second time we called ahead for sitting and were "welcomed" by the most unfriendly person as the hostess. The service was certainly not customer service....take heed if you are looking for a warm and welcoming brunch. read more

First the positive, the biscuit beignets were excellent. Now the negatives, we order the biscuit beignets as an appetizer, however our entrée came out about 2 minutes after they were served. For our main course I had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast, which was pretty good, a little soggy, would probably get the sauces on the side if I ordered again. My friend had the Lobster & Brie Omelette, which was disappointing. It did have some lobster meat but also contained some mushy mystery "seafood" filler. $15 for an lobster omelette is okay but not for a white mushy substance we could not even identify. Service was okay, no water refill and had to ask for a coffee refill, at $3 for a very small, yet cute, cup that was disappointing. read more

This place was amazing. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. Our server was great and friendly. I was very excited to see that they are gluten friendly. There were many delicious options to choose from, but in the end I decided on a gluten free jumbo pancake (because I have not had a good pancake in a long time), I was even able to add strawberries, blackberries and blueberries to the top. The pancake was delicious, fluffy and did not have that bland gluten free taste other GF foods have. Our food also came out very quickly. Next time I will definitely be trying the egg skillet, so many options. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend this place if you want some great breakfast food. read more

Great breakfast place, the wait times are long if you don't go really early. Food is always great however, the coffee isn't the best. Sometimes a bitter after taste. Recommend changing to a less bitter tasting house coffee. Maybe offer different coffee brands other than the current house type. One last downside, orange juice for kids is a little pricey. read more

We finally ate here last month. I had the skinny omelet and my husband had the supreme omelet. They were both delicious and the coffee was great too! We went after church on Sunday, so it was very busy but we were able to sit at the bar and get served. Good to know. Will definitely eat here again and highly recommend you try it! This was a rather disappointing breakfast experience for our group. The Saturday morning we went, it was crowded with a waiting line which we don't usually do but we decided to stay. We waited a bit for the food and unfortunately it was served cold and had to be sent back. Two of the orders were incorrect. The servers were 'sale-sy' and the place was just disorganized. It was just unpleasant and it's pricey. I couldn't recommend it. read more

It took an hour for food to arrive at our table. The wait staff is disorganized and seem confused as to what they should be doing at any given time. The food was sufficient when it arrived but the kitchen was so slow it really overshadowed the dining experience.
