This is the first location of The Seed that I've been to, so I'm not sure how other locations compare, but this one was pretty small in general with limited seating inside. Luckily my fiancé and I got there while it was empty, so we were able to choose two of the four bar seats along the wall across from the counter. I had a latte with almond milk and house-made lavender syrup, and we each had a classic croissant sandwich. Latte with house-made lavender syrup: I really enjoyed this. My fiancé described this as a "mix of coffee and tea", which I think was fitting. The lavender syrup sweetened the coffee with light floral notes and the latte was a great balance between herbal, floral, and creamy overall. Classic croissant sandwich: The egg patty was pretty thick, I'd say just under a 1/2" thick. It was packed with bacon and cheese, and the sandwich was toasted the way I liked. The croissant was buttery and flakey, and overall I enjoyed the sandwich. There wasn't anything unique about the sandwich though, it was just a solid breakfast croissant sandwich that was made well. No special sauces or other ingredients. I guess that's why it's the classic. The staff was nice and pleasant, and our food and drinks were made in a reasonable amount of time. I do think the food and drink were a bit overpriced for what it was (our bill was ~$40 for two sandwiches and two drinks), but they say the ingredients are all locally sourced so I'm assuming that's why. Overall, this was a great experience and I'd certainly choose this The Seed over a larger chain coffee shop. Just know that the dollars can add up quickly here!

Let me start off by saying that for most of the year I live on a grain-free, dairy-free diet for health reasons. Mid-June was my birthday and I always allow myself a big cheat of my favorite delicious meals that I carefully choose. For breakfast the choice was eggs Benedict. The Broken Egg was relatively new to the area and I wanted to try it out. I arrived about 7:30 AM; I was one of about 3 people in the attendance. Believe it or not, as I was seating myself, a lady that was leaving pulled me aside and said, "I hope your not in a hurry-SLOW!" I wasn't but that was disconcerting needless to say.... First thing I asked the server was if there were any PEPPERS in the crab cake Benedict. I told him I hated peppers in anything, in any way. He assured me there was not, just some sprinkled on top as a garnish that they could withhold. OVER 20 minutes later (????!!!) I was served a crab cake Benedict FULL OF PEPPERS. I mean what you can say at this point? It's just mind-blowing.... I decided to give it another try and just ordered a regular Benedict. Close to 10 minutes later, the waiter came back, not with a plate in hand mind you, but to say that they cannot make a plain one, there was no way to take the peppers out. Now this man did speak English but I guess it was just way too early for him. I had waited over 1/2 hour for no meal, total miscommunication and just a cluster-f@ck of a start to a birthday. Thank god Loic Autret French Bakery was open and saved the day (brilliantly may I add!). My recommendation, stay away from this venue. They are not ready to listen, hear or serve. I didn't actually eat any food but who would go back after this debacle?! read more

I had the worst experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the wait was ridiculous. We had to wait over an hour just to be seated. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, which is completely understandable for the wait time. Once we finally sat down, it took Bobby (if I recall correctly) 15 minutes to even take our drink/food order. After that, we waited over 40 minutes for our food, only to be told that the system voided our order (which we spoke to the manager and this statement was a lie). The waiter never inputted the order into the system! To make matters worse, the waiter had the audacity to come back 5 minutes later to ask for our whole order again! I can deal with a long wait time but to forget to input a tables entire order is unacceptable. We ended up leaving after that because we had been there for 2 hours at that point. The lack of organization, poor customer service and dishonesty is unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more

My husband and I stopped there on our way to the airport. We got the biscuit sandwich. He got his woth back. And I got mine with onions and mushrooms. First/ we didn't realize it came with chicken- which was our fault. But the chicken wasn't good. The quality was poor and the seasoning just tasted like pepper. The biscuit itself was okay. Mine was missing the onions and the side of fruit salad, which they did end up replacing. But a few pieces of fruit had random nuts on it like it was picked out of another item, so I didn't want to eat that. The potatoes were bland and not crispy. And the gravy tasted like it was out of a box. The service staff was super nice and the inside was cute and people seemed to go there regularly. But I definitely won't be going back. read more

As a frequent patron, I recently encountered an exceptionally rude and unprofessional episode of customer service, courtesy of the manager, Kelly. I was taken aback by her lack of education and professionalism, to the point where three other customers left after overhearing our conversation. Despite enduring a 45-minute wait for our food, our order arrived with an incorrect sandwich. Kelly showed a complete disregard for our concerns, failing to rectify the situation or remove the sandwich from our bill. She kept the coffee coming in buckets, and always had a smile for us as she brought us food and drink -- and even a coffee in a take out cup. If you're looking for a relaxed breakfast or brunch spot with consistently fresh food and excellent service, this is a great place to visit. I'll definitely be back!

Turkey was really pretty poor quality. I mean, I've had worse, but really just some cheap turkey meat. Weird fries along with it. Just not tasty at all. The worst was the chicken sandwich we ordered. Had a really scary fishy smell. Tasted ok, like not spoiled, but just an overwhelmingly bad smell. We obviously should have sent it back but my tablemate was very non-confrontational so just kept it. He took a few bites but was really concerned about it. Ultimately he didn't get sick so we're thinking it was maybe cooked on the same griddle as a piece of fish. But overall just a bad experience. Definitely will not be returning.

So I've heard this has a new owner and I've been meeting to try it…read more I had veggie omelet with american cheese , grits and rye toast. My husband had sausage gravy and biscuits, over easy eggs and has browns. Let me start with the veggie omelet. It was either canned or cooked beyond recognition veggies. They forgot the cheese and took the omelet back to the kitchen, opened it, and threw in cold cheese and did not bother to heat it up. But since I had to scoop out the veggies to make it edible it was a good thing the cheese didn't melt. The grits were inferno hot. I burned the roof of my mouth. So I put a spoonful of the grits on top of the cheese to help melt it and wrapped it back up. So breakfast was a grits and cheese omelet. The rye toast was good. Typical rye nothing fancy or home made My husbands breakfast ; He loves hot sauce - so I steal a bite of his gravy before he slathers the hot sauce on. It had a bit of an odd flavor. I thought maybe smoke flavor , my husband says he did not think it was pork in the gravy. The biscuit was dense, hard and dry. The hashbrowns were plentiful, but lacks any flavor. They didn't use any onions or anything else and the potatoes when they cook some. Nothing a little salt and ketchup can't help. We got a side order of ham to split and that was delicious We did inquire about if they just did eggs as a side order. Three eggs would be $4.94 and the side of ham I think was $3.95 so if you didn't want the potatoes and toast and you just wanted to do some eggs and bacon or eggs and ham, it would be a very cost-effective option and probably the only option we would use if we went back.

My husband orders steak and eggs about 3-4 times a wk. He orders his steak med eggs over med and…read morehash browns crispy w/toast med. The young man that works there knows exactly how my husband likes his food cooked. He brings it home steak is rare eggs were overcooked hard hash browns were raw toast not cooked. He immediately called no answer! Keeps calling no answer. He called yesterday no answer. This morning he went up there to tell them about how he couldn't eat his meal. The young girl looks to be Hispanic gets nasty with him and told him he should have brought it back that day. He would have however they wouldn't answer the phone they closed at 2pm he had to return to work. The young lady told him you think we owe you a steak and eggs. He showed her pictures of the entire me. Still she didn't care the cooks were speaking Spanish laughing at him. He we out side and brought in the steak to show them he didn't eat it and it as rare! She told him I'm not looking at that. She went to the back speaking Spanish they made him a new steak and hash browns crispy W toast asked if he wanted butter he said yes. I can't believe what they did he received a new steak over cooked it's so thin and dry it's gross , hash browns over cooked can't even eat the toast not cooked eggs were cooked right but they were so small it looks like they gave him half!!! He ordered me avocado toast it's absolutely disgusting ! It's not grilled toast it's soggy nasty wheat bread with brown avocado smashed on it with spinach and everything seasoning all over it to cover the brown avocado. It's so salty I can't eat it ! This is ridiculous almost $9.00 for something that's nothing like I've had from there before. It doesn't look anything like the picture not even close. The way they treated my husband is unacceptable. He spends alot of money there like I said he gets steak and eggs 3-4- time a wk. I feel like they treated my husband like he was trash because they are racist! He is a 58 yr old caucasian man they spoke Spanish in front of him, laughing at him while talking about him ! What they don't know is that he understands Spanish! They were being so disrespectful called him a stupid Gringo . This establishment needs to hire new people!!!!! I don't know who the manager is or the owner ! If it's that young lady who was so rude or one of the cooks that made his food , I wouldn't even give my dog! Ther need to be shut down. No one deserves to be treated like this, especially when they're spending good money. He wanted his food replacement. It was not eaten. He took it back. You will see in the pictures the difference in the steak that he got the day that it was rare and the steak that he received today along with my avocado toast and his hashbrowns and how raw everything was when someone comes into your establishment and asked for a meal a specific way they expect it cooked that way not any way you choose and then get an attitude and be nasty and rude and make his food that he can't even eat again because you're mad that you didn't do it right the first time that's childish and immature! just like today he called no answer because they don't turn on their phone. He goes in there. They said oh our phone is on my husband's turned. He dials the number calls it and the phone is turned off. They don't turn the ringer on again attitude. My parents have lived here for over 30 years. They've always gone to cup and saucer we've always gone there , we have friends and family members that they have treated poorly over complaining about how there's food was cooked. They lost very good business and I will see to it that I write a review on every platform to let everyone know exactly how they treat people and encourage them not to go there at all. Do not waste your time. Do not waste your money.

Onions rings were good but I only got 5 small onion rings for $4.50 side. Not sure it's a place I would return to. I guess my expectation was high based on reviews but we went on a bad day for them.
