    Fried Chicken BLT

We went about 40 minutes before closing and still got really good food and service. I love how the beignet biscuit bites come with an orange marmalade dip, so unique and well paired. We tried the fried chicken BLT, loaded grits, and cinnamon roll french toast which came with eggs and sausage. Everything was so good, no notes. Great brunch spot

One of our favorite breakfast places is Another Broken Egg. They have many locations all over South Louisiana. Everything we had this time was delicious as usual. I had the apple fritter french toast and it was one of the best breakfast meals I have had in some time. Busy place so expect a wait at times on the weekends. If you haven't been I totally recommend.

And we are back up a star. My only issue on this visit was how much everyone called me "baby" and "sweetheart". Now look. I was a "baby" server once, and I believe I had a manager come in and correct that behavior. I only expect to be called baby, in New Orleans. From the front door to the table top, my name of reference was "baby". The restaurant manager in me, just doesn't agree with that culture that's there now. But my food was good, my service was fine. I will be back, of course. This location is one of my favorite places to visit, to sit and get work done outside of the house.

We were in town and called ahead to confirm they had regular hours and check the wait, as it was Easter Sunday. They said to sign up online, check inside when we got here. We were about 10 minutes away, and even on a busy day, really didn't have to wait long to get a text our table was ready. Despite being packed, workers were nice, answered questions, atmosphere was lovely. Spacious parking area too, but watch out, entrance/exit can be a bit hectic. It was a bit of a wait, but we were having good conversation. Server was so nice, even brought us a complimentary order of beignets. When the food came, it looked lovely, and the tastes matched. Bananas Foster pancakes were yummy, as was the sausage and eggs that came with it. Everything is clearly fresh and made to order. Would definitely go back!

As soon as I walked in, the host seemed like she didn't want to be there. I inquired about eating on the patio area but she said they weren't serving out there at the moment so I decided to sit at the bar. The lady at the bar was the only friendly person I came across there. She seemed to be working all by herself but she managed to constantly check in and make recommendations. I had a chocolate milk and the broken egg biscuit with a side of grits add cheese. I was very disappointed with the food. To me, I could've done better at home. There was no flavor, the sauce on the biscuit was close to gelatin which grossed me out but the tenders tasted okay. I felt like I could've saved my money. The other location on Perkins offered better service and the food is better. I wouldn't go back to THIS location.

We dropped in for brunch on the way out of town and this spot did not disappoint. This is the fourth location I've been to and it is right in line with others. The Space We were seated immediately at 9am on Sunday so the space is more than ample. It was way too humid but there were a few outdoor areas that some were enjoying. The Eats I partook of the Apricot & Streusel Pancakes: Three house-cakes layered with house-made apricot preserves and topped with fresh blueberries, sweet cream cheese and cinnamon streusel. Served with two eggs any style and choice of baked bacon or house-made sausage patties. I have a pretty good appetite and took half home! Forever the Bayou Boy, my husband chose Mardi Gras Omelette which was filled with Louisiana crawfish, gulf shrimp, andouille and red peppers, topped with tomato hollandaise, tomatoes and green onion. Of course I sampled it - delicious! Parting Thoughts We can add this location to the rotation when we're on the Capital City.

The service was great even with a busy graduation weekend. Great food and wonderful atmosphere. We will be back. Warning: Be mindful of the lobster - it's imitation.

It's a small restaurant with a small open kitchen and a small dining room where you stand in line to place your order, get a number to put on your table, and servers bring the food to your table when it's ready. So, if you're looking for a large upscale, elegant restaurant with elaborate food presentations, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a simple, quick and delicious meal, Simple Joe Café is for you. The menu consists of a wide variety of breakfast favorites, but the menu is not intimidating and easy to read and order from. Simple enough. When my family and I arrived, the small dining room was packed with a few open tables and about six other customers in line waiting to place their order. On Saturday and Sunday, you cannot sit at the open tables or hold the tables until you have placed your order and given a tent number. At that point, the servers will help you find a table to accommodate your party. The employees do a very good job of clearing and turning over the tables to make sure everyone is seated and able to enjoy their meal in a timely manner. I am not a fan of breakfast food and normally don't eat breakfast, so I only had coffee while my family enjoyed their meal, so the food quality part of this review is based on what they described as they were eating. They each ordered Joe's Number One Breakfast Combos which came with two eggs, choice of meat and pancakes and they shared an order of hashbrown and a side of grits. The food came out quickly. They stated everything was fresh, prepared and cooked as requested, the food tasted very good and enjoyed every bite. Of course, the coffee was hot, and fresh and the service was fast and friendly. The relaxed ambience and decor add to the unique character of the restaurant. Date of Visit: Saturday 05-16-26 Simple Joe Café | 3057 Government St, Baton Rouge, LA

Instead, I was trying to meet a friend for lunch and he was so late that we couldn't get in where were trying to go. I saw the sign and off we went to Simple Joe Cafe. Simple, it is. Awesome food, it also is. This place is not fancy nor is it meant to be. This is a solidly Americana type menu and ordering at the counter, serving your own coffee, and picking your own table kind of place. AKA - the kind of place I love. I have been here a few times now and only had breakfast. Hint: they serve it all day. The two meat omelet is a great choice and has been my go-to. The other day some friends got burgers and a club sandwich and those looked great too. This will definitely be in the rotation for lunch.

There are only about 5 golf simulators, but a big bar with tons of bar like seating and TVs everywhere. This would be a great place to watch a sports game or to come to enjoy the atmosphere if you don't want to do the gold simulators. We sat at a high top and were able to watch tv and watch some parties golf. From where we were sitting, the golf simulators offer more than golf. There were so many things you could do, and each simulator had there own area/cubby, so that was nice if you wanted to do that. I thought the service could have been better.
