    Is this place dog friendly?

There is outdoor seating, but no one had dogs when we visited. I suggest calling the location just to make sure.

Didn't realize I would get tiny reheated frozen meatballs. For $7 I'd rather get 2-3 decent sized homemade ones. The side of hummus was literally a small ramekin that salad dressing usually comes in and was $1.50. The flavor was decent but a little chunky compared to what I'm used to elsewhere. The cheesy garlic bread was pretty good. I feel like it could improve with packaging that doesn't steam it during transport though (wrapped in sandwich paper and then foil). Perhaps a box or styrofoam container that can vent would help it be less chewy and retain some crispness? The marinara has good flavor but was super watery, not sure if that's the usual since this is my first time having Cheba Hut. I'll likely try this place again but a sandwich next time, since other people's pics looks yummy.

So after all eventful volleyball game at the Moody, my handsome guy and I treked over to Home Slice. The parking situation was madness, but we somehow lucked out and snagged a good one. And although, it seemed like it might be crazy inside, we were seated immediately. Maddie was our server and she was incredible. She was helpful, took our order, took our supplemental order, brought us a second side of ranch when a fly decided to nose dive into ours, and checked on us just enough. The salad was spectacular, as usual. There's just never enough. Solution: order two. The garlic knots were a little low on garlic, but tasty nonetheless. Combined with the marinara sauce, just delicious! I got a slice of the white pie with spinach which is olive oil, ricotta, mozzarella, garlic, and spinach. The crust was crunchy in all the right places and the toppings were tasty. I'm hungry just thinking about it again. This Austin staple is always a win for me.

When I pulled up, the parking lot was packed, and while I was able to get a spot that just opened up, lots of people seemed to be walking up from street spots. There are indoor and outdoor dining options, but given the heat, I opted to get on the brief waitlist for indoor seating and enjoy interior! The hostesses have a fast system and take your phone number, so the line moves pretty quickly. From what I could tell, HSP is a favorite among families, date night goers, college boys, girls night, you name it! I ordered a slice of pizza and garlic knots, admittedly, I wasn't starving. But if I get the chance to come back, I saw other tables get wings, cold subs, and calzones that also looked great! Home Slice Pizza is a neighborhood knockout!

Walk up window for ordering and pickup (including to-go orders) with a large shaded patio. Fast and friendly service. Food is insanely good. The classic torta with shredded tinga chicken is ginormous! Brian and I split the tortas here and they're still big. I literally eat 1/4 and get so full. Meats are seasoned and tenderized perfectly in all of their offerings. The OG torta with Black Forest ham is crazy good too. Amazing tacos, bowls, apps, and sides too, The hushpuppies are bomblicious! I mean who can turn down a jalapeño hush puppy? Not me! Everything is scratch-made & simply delectable. Yum x one million!

We drove up, parked, and went to the ordering/pickup window. I looked at the menu and decided what I wanted. The man at the window took our order quickly, we paid and then found a place to sit. My husband and I decided to share the ADP Loaded Nachos. They come with Tinga Chicken, Queso, Refried Black Beans, Avacado, Beet Pico, Goat Cheese Yogurt, and Red Cabbage Salad. My husband ordered the special which was the Porkin Around Torta. It came with Pork, Aioli, Fennel, Brussel Sprouts and Jalapeno Apple Jam. I ordered the Deville Torta which comes with Chicken, Plantain, Pineapple, Queso, Chimichurri, and a red Cabbage Salad. The Nachos were really good. The Queso was spread out around the Nachos and it wasn't overwhelming. The Tinga Chicken was so good and also spread out around the nachos. They Put a small scoop of the Refried Black Beans in one corner and a small scoop of Avacado in the other corner. Both were fresh and added flavor. The Red Cabbage Salad on the top mixed with the yogurt and beet pico was delicious. The combination of ingredients was very tasty. I tried my husband's Porkin Around Torta and it was yummy. The Deville Torta was delicious. It was filled with flavorful Chicken. The pineapple, plantain, and red cabbage salad gave the torta a semisweet flavor. It was a delicious torta. Overall it was a good place to stop and eat. The ordering and pickup process was quick and easy, and the food was very filling and tasty.

They have ordering via the QR code and was a bit sad when the espresso martini wasn't available to order. Soooo got the pumpkin pecan latte and a slice of banana bread. After the order was placed a gentleman stopped by to ask how things were to which I inquired about the espresso martini. They were able to make it and they weren't sure why the QR code showed it as unavailable. Latte was delicious and just the right temp, banana bread may have been better to order during the day as it was a tad dry on the outside but good inside. Not sure if they have the option to warm up as well which would have made it amazing. Espresso martini was also solid. Not too sweet, could taste the coffee and the foam was light and airy. I'd go back to have other things especially their pastries. Parking was a bit tough due to the shared parking lot and limited spaces right near the restaurant.
