On a colder day in March, we ventured over to Another Broken Cafe for a weekday breakfast. There was a wait but we decided to sit outside due to the open availability on the patio. We enjoyed the coffee that was served in nice deep mugs that feel. I've in your hands. We indulged in the wonderful omelet that we customized to our liking. We neglected to give it a four star review due to service. It was a little difficult to get the attention of the waiter at times, however, we were able to have good conversation and discuss work obligations without disturbance. If I were wanting a more involved experience, or my coffee refilled, it was not a good day for the waiter. Overall, we will return and it was a great experience. read more

Customer service/time management lacking. Sunday afternoon I checked in online for the waitlist. Online was told the wait would be 40-55minutes. Once I arrived that was not the case. Inside was packed, and those seated outside were not exactly taken care of either. After waiting, the hostess assured us that we'd be seated right away if we chose outside. So we sat outside for about 10 minutes. We weren't even offered waters while the waitress was attending to other tables. I left. It seems like there is an error is estimated wait time, and no consideration for those who were willing to be seated outside on a hot day. read more

First time visit and overall was a pleasing experience. The food presentation and taste were great. Got the Hash Brown Benedict. My only complaint was the gravy/sauce was cool. Ok where do I start a week ago this Saturday my wife and I decided to try out this restaurant there was lots of people waiting for their turn to be seated. It seemed that the restaurant was having a difficult time managing the crowd and the seating. We finally was seated and I ordered the Classic Breakfast 2 eggs 2 homemade sausage and grits and my wife ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict which she enjoyed. That being said we tried the restaurant again this past Saturday and to our disappointment I ordered the Sam as before and when the sausage came they were not cooked thoroughly and I had to send it back. My wife ordered the Cinnamon Roll French and she was so disappointed in the dish. What ruined it for her is that the Cinnamon Rolls tasted as if they were days old due to they tasted stale and hard. By the time the sausage came back I had finished my breakfast and was ready to pay the bill. My advise to the cooks is take pride in the meals you prepare and make sure you are using fresh ingredients particularly because you are a new business in the area and your first year is a make or break it time and you are moving backwards. My wife vowed to never come again because she felt it was a waste of $45. But I believe I can get to try once more. My husband knows I love new brunch restaurants. "Another Broken Egg" did not disappoint. The food was delicious and for the amount you get, it's a great value. My husband got the BLT, and he raved about it. They bake the bacon and it is really thick, and crunchy. He also got the country potatoes and they were delicious. Not sure what they put in them, but they're very good tasting. I got the regular breakfast with over easy eggs that were done to perfection. The plain grits are the large biscuits are very good also. I'm going to get the City Grits next time we go. They have bacon, onions, tomatoes, and cheese on them. You can omit any of the extra ingredients. I am a stickler for cleanliness and good food. Raised with three chefs in our home, I can be critical when it comes to the food. The restaurant was very clean, and all the staff went out of their way to help you. Our server went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one, and tended to our needs. I can be rather "needy" when it comes to coffee/half-and-half, and extra condiments. If the server can put up with my requests, we always make sure we tip well. I highly recommend this establishment and we will definitely be coming back. They have great no meat options as well and also serve gluten free items too. So a win-win for all. read more

Loved Broken egg in Florida, came here and was extremely disappointed. Host didn't acknowledge our party when we walked up. The serving staff put us in a corner and left us sitting for over twenty minutes before we were offered water. Another twenty minutes to receive our drinks, and were told by staff that the dog wasn't allowed to have any food as per their policy despite advertising animal friendliness. Across the patio, another man was feeding his dog with no discussion, reprimand, or updates. The staff did not separate our drink orders when we decided the service was bad enough not to eat here, and gave continued to treat us poorly. If you value human decency and baseline service, do not recommend. It also ruins the entire ambiance of a place that should have been so much better given we know broken egg CAN be a quality place. This was my first visit to this restaurant. I ordered a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and a sliced tomato and coffee. The cook brought my breakfast to the table. The eggs were cool to the touch, two slices of bacon, one slice of butter soaked bread and the tomato was sliced paper thin. Simply stated, the meal was awful. I'm not sure where to start. This is one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants. First of all first impressions are everything. The space is too small and the layout is horrible. When I enter their was a group of staff have a full blown conversation and it wasn't until they finished that they acknowledged me. The music was so loud that you thought you were at a bar instead of a restaurant. It took forever to get food and when I did the eggs were cooked so hard I knew this was not going to be a good experience. To top it off my pancakes and coffee were cold. The whole staff needs to take a road trip and experience one of the other locations. This is not it. You need to start all over with staff and find a new cook asap. We got here at the perfect time (almost 1000 am). The set up reminded us of First Watch a little. They have outside seating also. The waitress although was nice, she would go MIA for a bit, and it took a little time to get waited on, but that gave us a little time to look at the two menus. The food was actually pretty good, although it seems my request for crispy bacon was overlooked, the grits needed seasoning, the eggs were cooked past medium. I had the bourbon street pancakes, which came with bananas and pecans with a bourbon syrup, had an abundance of pecans and not enough of the bourbon syrup. The coffee goes from hot to lukewarm to cold too quickly for me. We also got the Louisiana quiche, which is a whole personal pan pie, I'm told it was good. If you order a shot for your coffee, or anything that has to come from the bar, it will take a while to get as the bartender has to do it, (should not take over ten minutes to pour a shot of anything), so I cancelled my shot of Bailey's, as I was done eating and still hadn't got the drink, although I ordered it half way through my meal. read more

My rating is based on our first impression because we were never actually seated. We arrived a half hour prior to closing (I misread the sign thinking closing was in another hour). Our first impression was that the place was a mess. There was stuff everywhere and tables with dirty dishes. The host stand itself was covered in condiments and not welcoming at all. We waited for close to 6 minutes while every staff member blatantly ignored us. Finally, someone approached us as if we were crazy for standing there because "Didn't we know they close in 30 minutes?" Okay... and they proceeded to actively discourage us from being seated. Something about "you can sit, but I don't know if we can serve you" which is crazy. How about " we are no longer seating; please come back and try us again"? would have been more tactful. We were 2 people, not a table of 6. So we said never mind and went down to the Hawaiian BBQ place. As we returned to our car an hour later, we saw customers leaving the cafe. Just like we would have been leaving had we eaten there. WIll never even attempt to go there again. We live in the neighborhood, so it's hugely disappointing. First time visiting at this location & my experience was horrible over all. When we first arrived took a minute to be greeted Once we received our drinks our server went ghost . We noticed the other tables were looking around for our server as well. Other tables that sat after us server was around and communicating with his table's wonderfully. We then asked for the manger we received the kitchen manger he apologized for everything and said he was taking the food off because we decided we didn't wanna wait for food again and we don't wanna take this food !! Server came back didn't apologize just handed checks and walked off but the checks were wrong so the manager on the floor came and basically told us we had to pay for our food and we told him no we don't we didn't eat anything we will not be paying for no cold food that's been sitting in the window for an hour! This manager was so rude until he finally decided to let us talk and hear as to why we're not paying for this food & the lack of communication in this restaurant is horrible !! He was unaware we had talked to the other manger and that's when he wanted to apologize! Only person helpful out of the situation was the beautiful amazing host !! We then tried to pay once we got the right checks and we tried to call the host over because everybody have bad days we still wanted to tip her and she stated they told me I can no longer communicate with y'all so we said okay never mind and continued to tip the host instead . I was thrilled to see this location open as I'm a big fan of the location in Charleston. Even more thrilled to see them available on Uber Eats so I didn't have to load up my 6 month old in the rain. Ordering was available at 7:20 on a Saturday, and then the restaurant cancelled my order twice. I'm throughly disappointed as if you are unable to to delivery orders, then ordering should be turned off. We had a party of 10 and they put us at two tables which were right beside one another however they do not push tables together so in order for everyone to talk we had to basically yell from table to table. Zero out of 10 don't recommend if you would like to enjoy your whole party at a table sitting together. Checked in online at 11 o'clock for an 1130 showtime our entire party was there we were seated at 12 and we received our food 2 PM. Once the food came out all the plates were hot. However, the food was cold so one can only suggest that the plates were hot from sitting underneath the light. All food was sent back except for the shrimp and grits and somebody's omelette. After waiting 10 to 15 more minutes for the food to be brought out again this is how it came out. The pancakes after dusting off all of the grill dirt actually were pretty good. Management should probably be more focused during peak hour and ensure that patrons are being serviced properly and that waiters/waitresses are doing the best that they possibly can do as well as the kitchen staff ensuring that food is prepared in a manner that they would want to eat. We ordered drinks from the bar, two people ordered the same drink and the drinks look totally different although one person requested for additional simple syrup to make it a little bit sweeter. The contents of what was in the drink was also different and they have a policy where the drinks cannot be sent back even if they're incorrect. Our waitress Amanda was great 10 out of 10. Big disappointment. I was so excited to see this restaurant coming to Augusta. I've eaten at a few and really enjoyed their ambience and amazing food. Today was a girls' lunch and I was looking forward to eating here. Happily, there was no wait at 11:30. Very few people inside, several tables filled up outside. First impression is trash on the floor, all through the dining area. Second is an extremely sticky floor. The table is being held level with a dirty napkin under one of the feet. Beignets were little rocks and didn't come out until the food. I had to bug the waiter for both after a half hour. Still, mostly empty dining room. The food was passable, not as delicious as I've had in the past. Poor service right up until I left. So much trash outside. There are too many places with good food in the area to waste money here. After reading Steve P review, similar thing happened to my party. Second time eating at this location and the first time was a wait. Which I understand the wait, because in this area on a Sunday after church most restaurants you are going to wait. I called before I left church and I was told by the young lady on the phone when I asked if they took reservations and she replied "it's first come first serve, but you can get on the waitlist and the waitlist is 30 min." Sounds good. We arrive and I advise the young lady holding the iPad that I had arrived, and she responded "we have your info and we will text you shortly. So, the rest of our party arrived and the question from them is "how long do we have to wait?" My answer was "we started at 30min we arrived 10min later, so we should be getting a text shortly." After the 30min time given had passed by an extra 30min, one of our group member went in to check on the time and returned to the group to let us know that my name was not on the list. I stayed calm and I didn't even ask for the manager, I spoke with the young lady holding the iPad and she recognized me and sat us at that moment. Slow service took forever for the food to come when the food came it was cold with the exception of the eggs. The fact my waffle was so cold that the butter wouldn't even melt is more than enough to show just how cold my food was. Servers name was Raquel not once came to the table to even ask how the food was once it was brought to the table. If we didn't stop her to ask for a refill I would've never gotten one. Once she finally came to the table we asked for the additional item that we didn't touch to be removed and was told why there wasn't even as much as an apology for the inconvenience. Checked in online when the wait was 30-45min. Arrived 30min to the restaurant and was told "the wait doesn't start until you show up". So what's the point of checking in online? I was then told "30min is not a bad wait", then laughed at when I left the restaurant to wait outside. Finally our table was ready, ordered, and waited again (about 30-40min). Potatoes arrived cold, shrimp and grits were COVERED in sauce, literally scraped it off and put the sauce in a separate bowl. The food was pretty bland. Ate here at 9:30am on Friday, June 7th. First impressions were great, the hostess was super kind and it smelled great. After being seated though, it took an immediate turn. It took us 12 minutes to be greeted, another 6 for the server to come back and get our drink order and another 10 before I got my coffee and my son got his drink. I was able to read 130 pages from my son's book before we got our drinks. We then ordered and when the food came out, it was clear it had been sitting under the heat lamp on the line for quite a while. The sauce was starting to break on my Benedict, the yolk inside had solidified and my son's scrambled eggs were as springy as a trampoline. I would definitely coach the servers to help run one and another's food to avoid this issue...It was then I learned that when you order scrambled eggs, you received liquid eggs and not fresh eggs. Honestly save your time and you lined because every Waffle House in town is better than this particularly overpriced cafe. Until the FOH is trained to work with and not against the BOH they won't improve either. Went to eat there for Mother's Day. Took a group of 5. Joined the wait list(11:03am) a few hours before bc it said 3.5 hour wait. Arrived at 1:05. Checked in. She said we should've driven down immediately after joining the list bc basically the waitlist doesn't mean anything. Said four tables were in front of us. Went and sat in our car and went back up around 2:15pm bc it seemed like a while. Said we were 10 tables back. Hmm. The math ain't mathing. Felt we had no choice to wait bc we already put in that much effort. Seemed like several people kept walking out. My MIL is elderly so she started feeling bad and needed food. We drove her home. We don't live far. Never took our name off the list. Walked around Kroger bc sitting in your car for several hours sucks. Did that for a while until we realized we just weren't getting sat. It's now 4:16 and still nothing. Never received anything letting us know about a table. Pretty sure they closed at 3. We ate fast food. My advice....Avoid the waitlist. Seems like it's absolutely worthless and wasted our entire afternoon. Maybe stand there so they can visibly see how long you've been there? Idk. It's crazy. Do better. read more

Food was great, glad to see this restaurant open. Of course, it being newly opened there was a HUGE backup of folks there. We walked in and got told it would be a 45 minute wait. We did some shopping and returned. Went in at the 45 minute point and got told - It would be anytime now. At the one hour point started asking more, and over heard a staff person say that online registrations had priority over face to face registrations - there were two separate lists. A person did step forward and say they had been waiting for two hours (since 8AM). Folks who were walk ins from when we arrived were told it would be at least 30 minutes more. I did ask to see the manager and rather firmly stated - If I had been told the truth an hour earlier, we would have left. After the manager asked me to stop shouting (he should hear me shout, but I do apologize) he did agree that this was a bad policy and got us and another walk in person a table. I insisted he explain to the other people waiting what was going on. Apparently nobody realized the impact of having two separate waiting lists until I pushed the issue. Of course the staff said it was not their fault, they did not know the reservation system was working that way. I SURE HOPE THEY CAN FIX THE REGISTRATION SYSTEM. Food was good an unique, but took us two hours to go through the whole process.
