So good! First time here last week. This is a casual eatery with tables and chairs available to sit down and eat. We chose to order online ahead of time for pick-up. The place seemed steadily busy but not overcrowded. They had a good flow of traffic in and out. Our order was ready right as we walked in, and we were greeted with smiles! We ordered the #1, 2 hot chicken sliders, and #4, 2 hot chicken tenders over buttery rice. All mild. Got mac and cheese instead of the slaw. Glad I did! The mild spice level on the chicken was perfect. We occasionally dabble with spicier foods, so my husband got an extra tender in medium just to try. super disappointed. I stopped by here since I was in the area but I usually go to the Vacaville location. I picked up food to go and everything I ordered was cold, bland and soggy. The chicken sandwiches were not crispy and it was dry and bland. chicken from the bowl and sandwich did not taste like the spice level I ordered. What a fat bold face lie!!! They straight ghosted me!!! When I wrote my first review regarding them adding 18% sales tax on top of the subtotal while placing a online to-go order, someone from their leadership team dm'd me apologizing saying there was a glitch in their system and they would retify my bill. Well, I never got a response back and my bill was never retified. I even reached out to them through their website, but still straight crickets. Definitely a bad business practice which I will now report to the BBB. Additionally, I checked several times after my review to see if they fixed the glitch but it wasn't immediately addressed, so I'm sure they're more than a few people who made a purchase and got ripped off like me. It's been two weeks and I checked again and it looks like they finally fixed the glitch, but given that I gave them two weeks and they didn't even respond to either of my communications, says alot about their business standards. The servers were nice people, nothing more or less to expect. The place was clean, probably because it is brand new, I hope they're able to maintain it. As for the food I am pretty disappointed with my experience. I ordered two sliders, one for my brother and I to share. I ordered the medium and my brother ordered angry. Where they made him sign a waiver and not me. Here's where my problem comes in. We received our order and got it to go. When opening the Tupperware for our food there were no label saying which sandwich was the angry and which one was medium. Ironically it being a 50/50 chance of us getting the sandwich heat level of our choosing, I got the angry. I have to say they're lucky my spice tolerance is just as good as my brother's because if it wasn't somebody with a high spice tolerance, they could have choked on how hot it was and had a hard time breathing. We ended switching sandwiches and I got to say the medium tasted pretty good. I will come again to enjoy the food here, however the cook and staff preparing the meal should be more mindful about this situation. But I recommend this place for a good chicken sandwich in Vallejo, and a really spicy challenge if you're up for it. Review subject to change on my next visit. read more
