Just go. If there is a line, go. If it's raining, go. If you want a beautiful experience, go. If you want a delicious experience, go. This place was on my food/drink Paris bucket list and it did not disappoint! We ordered their famous hot chocolate and was so delicious . Please get yourself one and enjoy!

Avoid this place at all costs. It took us forever to get into the restaurant and once we did we ordered the overhyped hot chocolate and some brunch. The food was bland and what is best to go with bland food? Maybe the gnats on the wall chilling next to us! Incredibly gross lost our appetite. Avoid this place.

Whether you're looking for a decadent dessert to indulge in or to sit and drink coffee with a baked good, Angelina is famous for it all. Make sure you're patient as it's quite a busy location and don't have your hopes up for a certain dessert as you may be disappointed when you find out it's sold out. However if you make it there early, order the eclair with a perfectly glossy outside and airy inside filled with decadent cream. This with a coffee while people watching is the quintessential experience in Paris.

We went here on a weekday morning and weren't sure if it was open. We wanted to come in for breakfast and also couldn't tell if we could dine in or not. We were too scared to ask. We were greeted once inside and saw all the beautiful pastries. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was absolutely amazing! So rich and decadent. To go cups do not come with whip and it was around $7 I think. We went somewhere nearby for breakfast.

I've been to the Angelina in Paris and New York, and the experience is definitely better in Paris! I enjoyed their new Mont-blanc pistachio flavor which was so unique and actually tasted like pistachios. The lemon cream in the millefeuille was refreshing and the hot chocolate was thick and good

Heard this place had the best hot chocolate so we had to check it out. We walked over around 2pm after going to the Louvre. We waited about 30 min to get seated. I loved the interior! Especially all the paintings they had all around the walls. It gave the restaurant a very cute French ambiance. Our server and the manager were great and attentive. We ordered two of the Brunch breakfast meals which included the famous hot choco, fruit juice, croissants, eggs Benedict, chocolate crepe and so much more. They give you a few options to pick from but we definitely over ordered for just two people. The hot chocolate was delicious and pretty thick. The croissants were yummy. Nothing was extraordinary though. But it was definitely a fun experience :) definitely recommend trying at least once!

Supposed to be one of the best chocolat chaud in Paris. It's good but overhyped and expensive.

Classic and beautiful Patisserie/Restaurant. I read so many great reviews about Angelina and it was so close to my hotel that we had to take a look. My wife an I had the best hot chocolate of our life's! I can't describe enough how rich and creamy the chocolate was. To eat we got the famous Croque Madame sandwich which is this unbelievable three layers sandwich with ham and melted cheese with a fried egg on top! If you go to France you must to eat the croques- - - DELICIOUS!!!. So after an exhausting and amazing day at the Louvre Museum I suggest you to walk two or three blocks to Angelina. It is worth it! Trust me.

"You MUST go to Angelina and try their hot chocolate! Ohmygawd! It's delicious" "Dude! You should definitely go to Angelina. I don't normally recommend places, but that (truffle) omelette was fantastic." "Atiiif! You must try the Mont-Blanc at Angelina!" So, I don't know what quirk of fate conspired to have all my closest friends suggest Angelina as a definite stop in Paris, knowing fully well that I've had more dessert in my life than a small town in France, am a contrarian, and almost always take a chain-saw to any hype... But they did. They are right. Don't. be. that. person. The one who turns up his nose at meeting Major Hype (salutes). The one who frowns at opulent décor. Go with the wisdom of the crowds. Mont-Blanc: Wowing customers at Angelina since 1903. Meringue, whipped cream, chestnut cream vermicelli. That's all you need to know. I can't say that I love chestnut desserts, but Angelina's Mont-Blanc made a convert out of me. Amazing texture: crunchy, creamy, grainy like sand. Intense, clean flavors. But, I can still feel that sandy texture on my tongue. I know some people find it too rich, but I don't think I can ever forget it! The hot chocolate (...L'africain): IF it were any thicker, it would be a pudding! Served with fresh whipped cream on the side. Paris - New York: Their version of Paris-Brest where praline is replaced by pecan. Glorious combination of choux pastry, pecan praline cream, crunchy pecan praline. The Caprice Caramel: almond AND speculous biscuits, caramel cream, and vanilla mousse... Dark chocolate with candied orange Florentines... That's all, folks... Just. Go!

I came here on my first visit to France with my sister and brother-in-law. I had just finished my time at the Eiffel tower and walked over to this restaurant for a drink and a snack. I was seated immediately, waiting for the rest of my party. The staff were incredibly patient, allowing me to stay for the fifteen-ish minutes it took for my family to arrive. We, of course, ordered the hot chocolate topped with cream. It was incredibly rich, which was the draw. It was required that we each ordered our own teapot, which provided about two and a half cups of hot chocolate. This was a bit excessive, as the drink was heavy and I could only stomach a cup. I did wish the restaurant allowed us to split the pot amongst our table. Nonetheless, I enjoy dining at Carette and returned on my second Paris trip with my husband. Anyone visiting for the first time should try their thick hot chocolate at least once.

She sets you up with your sandwich and tells you how much it is. You reach in your pocket, you pay her, she give you change and you're out the door. On to the next one. The sandwiches they serve here is pretty good. Salmon, ham, cheese, greens, tomatoes, onions, etc. Those are all pretty much created equal,,, what really makes the difference here is the bread. They make their own bread here,,, yes,,, own bread,,, from scratch. Flour, water, yeast, etc... all that good stuff. All that and a lot of love to create the perfect light and crispy on the outside and mouthwateringly chewy and tasty baguette you've ever put in your basic mouth. Anyways, the simple things are what I love,,, and Le Fournil Du Maine is what I call my regular joint. Thank you so much for making amazing sandwiches,, I'll see you again next time I'm in town. The Tarte au citron meringuée was an absolute revelation: the crisp, buttery crust cradled a velvety lemon filling that struck the perfect balance between tangy and sweet, finished with a delicate torched meringue topping. Pure sunshine on a plate! Their legendary Opera Cake is a masterclass in precision-layers of almond sponge, coffee buttercream, and dark chocolate ganache harmonize into an elegant, rich symphony of flavors.
