Amazing experience. Thee most attentive and hospitable staff that treated everyone like royalty. Walking in the door, you could feel the love. The hot chocolate lived up to the hype. So rich and chocolatey and rich. Not as sweet as an American hot chocolate but so decadent. I had no wait going around 11AM. Had choice of seats. 12/10 experience.
Excellent service! Came for Sunday brunch. Food was incredible! Classy ambiance! A must when in Paris!
A sweet treat for yourself! Angelina's pretty interior and extensive dessert menu attracts all the influencers. LOCATION: A fairly large location with tables available outside. SERVICE: Quick and pleasant interactions with the staff! They did forget our drink but they also didn't bill us for it. DRINKS: I tried the signature Angelina hot chocolate and it was SUPER decadent. It came with whipped cream on the side. Overall, it was very sweet and heavy. I don't recommend ordering a dessert with this. DESSERTS: I tried the popular Mont Blanc and it was sweet and delicious however I wasn't able to finish this as I mistakenly ordered a hot chocolate to pair with this.

Until then, the best hot chocolate was at Max Brenner's in NYC. This is BETTER. You'll want to stay here and return again & again. The service was exception. Try the dessert of the day (connected with the gallery feature) and grab a few more. We LOVE Angelina's.
Very long lines for a very beautiful restaurant -- we lined up before going to the Louvre and it wasn't a quick detour, but it was lovely to try! Everything was pretty decent -- the hot chocolate was not as sweet as we expected, the croissant was quite flaky, and the highlight was definitely the mont blanc dessert. Try it if you are in town, but just beware it will probably be a long line and crowded inside -- for good reason!
We went to three different locations in Paris and every single one was so good. Of all the places I would recommend Angelina is the absolute 100% must go to. Both for pastries and desserts, as well as food at the café.
Third try was the best! When I looked in, restaurant was already packed, but line does move faster early in the morning. We waited about twenty minutes. The first two times we tried was in the afternoon, and line was over a hundred people looking miserable. Our waitress was older and not pleasant, but also not rude. Tables are very close together and not a lot of room to move your chair. Breakfast was okay. I would not come back to eat in the restaurant, but would come back to get items to go. If I had waited over an hour for breakfast, I would not be happy.
I wouldn't say it's the best hot chocolate but it's definitely something. This is perfect for people with a sweet tooth and they even have a full menu with pastries and prix fixe menus. Located right next to the Luxembourg Gardens, it makes a nice stop after a day through the park. We were seated immediately and the staff spoke English pretty well. There was a mix up and we only wanted to share a cup of hot chocolate but she misunderstood and brought out two cups. No biggie. I recommended ordering a pastry to go with your hot chocolate. It's really heavy, thick and it paired well with something neutral. It honestly was too rich for me and neither of us finished our drinks. The first half of the drink was good but after that, I was over it. You can buy hot chocolate powder as gifts or to bring home!
We were last in Paris five years ago and the thing I wanted most coming back this time was the chocolate chaud at Angelina. It was everything I remembered. We were out in a day of walking as exploring so we stopped at this location. Friendly service, nice outdoor area. My husband started out speaking French but they were willing to switch to English when we needed them to. We each had a chocolate chaud and shared millefeuille and a chocolate eclair. The chaud is very rich so you may want to share one... we probably should have. I love this place and will be back again on this trip. Find one of their locations and go on your Paris trip. Highly recommend.
After a long morning of walking and sightseeing, we stopped by Angelina for a quick break before heading in to the Luxembourg Gardens. With a handful of locations around Paris, Angelina is a very classic French patisserie and a well done one at that. We had a chance to try their mojito/mint pastry and another hazelnut pastry. Both were very pretty and tasty at that. Went perfect with the coffees and was just the right energy booster for an afternoon of sight seeing.
Incredible ambience and very rich decadent hot chocolate. My friends and I thought the pot of 2 would have been plenty for the 3 of us, and we can each really take our sweets normally. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was also great and exceeded expectations

The kids were 4, 6, and 8 when we first introduce them to the glorious hot chocolate at Angelina's. They are now 28, 30, 32 and we enjoy it just as much as when we first went. The desserts are beautiful and tasty especially with tea. The chocolate is just memorable. Yes, we will return! read more

I did a lot of research and tried about 10 Patisseries in Paris, this one was the worst. I don't know if they're over hyped or that they are a factory and don't have the latitude to put the love into their items. The hot chocolate was bad to me and was the only one in 15 i tried that I didn't like. It's a beautiful atmosphere and dining area, it's actually worth going to experience that. I would probably just try their food though and maybe one pastry, skip the hot chocolate. Service was very good as well. read more

One of the best meals I've ever had. The coffee is to die for. My friend had the hot chocolate and couldn't stop raving about it too. The eggs were amazing, but the highlight of the meal was the croissant. By far the best croissant I've ever had. The dessert was delicious too. On top of the greatest breakfast I've had in a long time, the service was impeccable. I can't rave enough about this restaurant. Will definitely make this my go to breakfast and coffee restaurant when in Paris. read more
One of my gal pals wanted to come here because she claims their hot chocolate is famous. On an unrelated to the business note, she doesn't even like chocolate so her desire to come here seemed a little silly. We came towards closing time so they wouldn't allow us a table to sit inside. Luckily they still offered takeaway service so that's the route we went. The cashier was a delight and we were both patient with each other while I attempted to recall some French and he attempted to practice English. We made it through the process and I ordered a dessert that was labeled "mille feuille" but was more of a cake. That was a bummer but it was still delicious. I also got a hot chocolate and purchased some chocolates to bring home as a gift for my colleague. The hot chocolate was incredibly rich. We're talking straight up heavy cream and dark chocolate kind of rich. I don't actually know if the beverage is made with heavy cream so don't take my word for it. It really was delicious but I could only drink about half of the 8oz cup before I was over it. Strangely, my gal pal made it two sips before she was done. Remember that thing where she doesn't like chocolate?? Yeah. That was funny. read more
A small upscale spot for a little treat! Located off the gardens of Palais du Luxembourg it is a place to also feel a little royal. With beautifully clean decor of white and gold, everything from the walls to the dishware is luxurious. Flanked with walls of window a lovely amount of light floods in to make the whole experience a bit romantic. The desserts were as well refined and full of scrumptious flavors. I enjoyed a seasonal dessert that I wish could recall the name. It looked like a little apple and when you cut inside it pulled off perfect little slices of cream with a center of chocolate and caramel. All on top a ginger cookie. My partner enjoyed an indulgent Trocadero with flavors of rich chocolate and hazelnut! Overall, a nice little spot to live the high life which the price and quality reflect. read more
5 stars for the hot chocolate, definitely worth the trip. It was so rich I could not finish the whole thing. The whipped cream was amazing too. I thoroughly enjoyed the lemon tart. I also had a Croque Madame there and thought it was good, not the best I have ever had, but tasty, especially the roasted tomato. Great location--right next to Jardin du Luxembourg. The inside is super clean and chic and their dessert case full of treats looks amazing! read more

Cannot say enough good things about Angelina! You NEED the hot chocolate - it is an experience, and one we made time for twice while in Paris for four days. The croissants were also delicious (3 to an order!), and the service was sweet and attentive. The only downside is the location of the bathrooms in the basement of the gift shop next door. We first went on a Wednesday and then back on a Friday - on Wednesday, we were one of the only few tables, and on Friday, it was completely packed... definitely try to plan accordingly on your visit! read more
Love this location, much smaller than the one by the Louvre but super cute inside. We though the service was much better as well, they were so nice and attentive. We got the tea time with the hot chocolate and definitely recommend! The dishes were beautiful and the snacks were delicious. And of course their hot chocolate is something else. Nothing in America compares to it and it is truly a luxurious experience. If you go to Paris you must come here for the hot chocolate! read more

Did you even go to Paris if you didn't stop at Angelina's? Located right by the Louvre and other popular tourist attractions its the perfect stop. I went right when I arrived in Paris starving and wanting to start my sightseeing right away. I did the Angelinas breakfast which is a lot more food then I was prepared for to say the least but it was amazing and the hot chocolate is legendary for a reason! The mini viennoiseries were also incredible and if you want extra indulgence dip the pain au chocolate in the hot chocolate. Warning the hot chocolate is very rich and I would use the cream provided to lighten it up a little. The eggs and cottage cheese were also good and nice to have a little protein with the carbs. All in all its a must! Even the bathroom upstairs is instagram worthy the whole place is beautiful and historic. read more

I had read about Angelina as a great cafe in Paris and it did not disappoint! My boyfriend and I walked here after visiting Notre Dame. It was cold and rainy and the cafe was perfect to warm up! It was early afternoon and there were only a few people there so the friendly waiter told us we could sit wherever we wanted. We were strategic and chose a seat right by a heater. We of course ordered a hot chocolate as soon as we sat down. I knew it would be rich so told the waiter we just wanted one and he served it to us in two separate cups, each with a chocolate mint. It also came with some fresh whipped cream to add to the hot chocolate which I thought was a great touch. In addition to the hot chocolate I got a chocolate eclair which was also rich and delicious. Angelina is the perfect spot to get your chocolate fix in Paris. There are a few locations so it's easy to find one that is convenient to your sightseeing. read more

My husband and I stopped here because I wanted to try a "real" hot chocolate. I got a hot chocolate and an eclair. He got a mimosa. Everything was delicious and the service was great. The hot chocolate is good, but extremely rich, so be prepared. They pour you a glass and give you the remainder to pour yourself. It is rich, thick, and decadent. The eclair was light and delicious. I would definitely suggest to stop here and try the hot chocolate. read more

I have been coming to Paris since I was a kid. Angelina was introduced to me by my father who made it super special. He said that Angelina is special place and needed to be visited if you were visiting Paris. The atmosphere is lovely inside with great architectural elements and French feel restaurant ora and great service. To get a table can be hard because it is super popular place. Every time I come back to Paris, I visit Angelina. It has a sentimental value to me from my French father and I feel special being there. I love the pastries and hot chocolate. To be honest I have never had actual food there besides the sweets. I only get a pastry and hot chocolate. If you are visiting Paris, you must try the Angelina hot chocolate because its so good and rich. I think there is barely any milk in it because I feel like i am drinking melted chocolate blocks. The service is lovely and people are friendly but it is touristy and can be a long wait. But it is once in the life opportunity! read more
When in Paris, and want some good thick creamy hot chocolate, this is the place. The quality of service, the history, the interior. That is what adds to the experience. This is a lifetime memory for me. This is old school Paris. Food was outstanding here but light. Think ladies tearoom. They bring a pot of hot chocolate with cups, home made whipped cream to spoon in what you please. Pouring the liquid to the cup shows the richness and thickness. I will go back. read more

This is not a normal hot chocolate. No, this is super thick and is almost like a chocolate fondue and it's delicious. It comes with whipped cream which we used to top the hot chocolate to take away from of the richness. It also comes with a chocolate cracker thing that's super thin and just melts in your mouth. We also got a rose and raspberry dessert that's like eating a cloud. It disappears in your mouth almost instantly. Prices here aren't cheap, but man is it worth it. read more
