Pistachio and raspberry

One of my favorite desserts while in paris! Any flavor is good so you can't go wrong. The staff is always nice and helpful. And the storefront is so cute!

Cute tiny shop that sells coffee and cold drinks as well as the most amazing little cream puffs. I believe the selection rotates as there were several types listed they didn't have that day but there were 10 flavors to choose from when we went. The lady was very friendly even if the box is only on to go orders. We ate outside enjoying the nice weather and munching on cream puffs. I do regret not getting one of each flavor though! My favorites were the caramel and the praline but they were all delicious.

Had already been on our feet for several hours and needed a pick me up, and we turned the corner and there it was! Very excited to try this amazing patisserie, and it certainly didn't disappoint. We all picked our favorite flavors and enjoyed some amazing deliciousness that is Paris! Definitely a must stop!

This place is unreal. You can only see the three puffs I got because of you knew how many we got after....ya. Nuff said. Find this place. Sample all the puffs. All Of them. Yes. Every. Single. One. Because why not. When else will you ever taste anything like this ever again unless you live here??? It's a small shop but has such big flavor. Very fast and I like how you can order and get a plate to sit outside and eat as you people watch and drink your cafe. Ohhhh such good fond memories here because of the food. Not too sweet. Not so sweet that it's like...ya I can only eat 2 tops. No. It's not rich it's perfect. My memories are vivid because my brain didn't take a snapshot...it was on record because of how delish the puffs were. Come here. You will not regret it. Try everything. My favorite was the chocolate. Easily.

Thrilled to see this quaint and charming little cream puff shop opened. The flavors look wonderful from chocolate, Carmel, pistachio, butter cream.... unfortunately the chocolate, coffee, praline and pistachio cream puffs were sold out. We ate one of each left & they were so good we purchased and ate more. We tried citron, passion fruit, vanilla, caramel and framboise. They were so fresh & filled with so much cream inside!

I'm not a huge fan of cream puffs but my mom really wanted to see this place on our trip. She and I are both huge fans of Gossip Girl and this was mentioned in an episode. In addition, it was located across the street from our Airbnb. I gave in and had some and I'm glad I did! They were delicious. Almost tasted like ice cream!! We ate the whole box in one day.

Always a line out the door of this place. To give it perspective, it is a small place. They do have a sitting area on the second level to sit. Most people are queuing up for these delightful morsels called pate choux. Varied flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel, raspberry, and others. These bites are very perishable and you have to consume them in two days. No chance to bring it on the plane. This place is across the street from Saint Severin church.

Little pastry spot, that I would have to say after eating one you'll won't be able to stop yourself! What Odette offers are these cream puffs, not just any cream puffs, but absolutely to die for cream puffs. In fact we actually went there twice because we wanted to get another serving before we hopped on the plane. We tried all the flavors and I have to say none of them disappoint. Some were not our flavors, but overall every one of them were unique and you could really tell the different type of flavors that were offered. The puffs were light and airy in your mouth and wasn't too sweet either. I would definitely recommend to come by Odette and pick up a whole box and try all of their cream puffs!

How did I not know about this place sooner? On a recent trip to Paris I did some planning ahead for all of my favorite French pastries and desserts and found this as one of the best for cream puffs so I added it to my must-go-to lists and I'm so happy I did! Location: It's located within a couple blocks of the Notre Dame Cathedral so it's the perfect stop before or after to grab a snack when visiting the cathedral. Staff: The woman that took our order spoke enough English to understand our order and respond back to us in English. She was also very patient with us as we read through all the flavors they had on display before we decided what we wanted. Cream Puffs: I never knew I was a fan of cream puffs until I tried the ones from Odette. I had the passion fruit and a vanilla. The puff on each one had the perfect texture. They were light and fluffy and really was just a shell for the cream portion. They almost had a light crunch but not really; it's hard to explain. The cream's were heavenly. I could eat these all day every day. I'm totally a fan!

The service is as rude as their drinks are tiny. 100% do not recommend. Go elsewhere for your tea needs.

Angelina, Paris, France -- April 12…read more Our family of four with kids ages 9 and 10 stopped here for lunch after visiting the Louvre, drawn in by its reputation for having the best hot chocolate in the world. We were looking for a place to relax and refuel, and the experience felt a bit mixed overall. Arrival and First Impressions The space is elegant with classic Parisian charm. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. The Challenges The biggest drawback was the price. The meal felt expensive for what we ordered, coming in at €154 for a fairly simple lunch. Service felt slightly rushed as they moved tables along quickly. Final Thoughts We would likely return if we were nearby and specifically craving the hot chocolate again. It is a classic Paris stop and worth trying once, but the value may not justify going out of your way unless that signature experience is high on your list.

It really tastes like melted chocolate with a bit of milk mixed in to make it more drinkable. We went at a bit of an off time, late morning and it wasn't overly busy. We saw our server once and I couldn't recall who he was when it came time to get the bill. I asked a hostess walking by for our check and she told me to ask our server while walking away. We were able to flag another server down eventually but the whole process just took too long. The tables for four have chairs that don't quite tuck in causing for a bit awkward seating. If you like really thick hot chocolate, give it a try but otherwise ok to miss this one. Plenty of good hot chocolate throughout the city.

I had just finished my time at the Eiffel tower and walked over to this restaurant for a drink and a snack. I was seated immediately, waiting for the rest of my party. The staff were incredibly patient, allowing me to stay for the fifteen-ish minutes it took for my family to arrive. We, of course, ordered the hot chocolate topped with cream. It was incredibly rich, which was the draw. It was required that we each ordered our own teapot, which provided about two and a half cups of hot chocolate. This was a bit excessive, as the drink was heavy and I could only stomach a cup. I did wish the restaurant allowed us to split the pot amongst our table. Nonetheless, I enjoy dining at Carette and returned on my second Paris trip with my husband. Anyone visiting for the first time should try their thick hot chocolate at least once.

I couldn't tell if this was a real apple or some fancy French creation made to look like one - that's how real it looked! Only thing that we were missing was some good ol' milk! + Almond Croissant - Once again, delicious! Solid croissant and definitely a good grab and go candidate. = Citronnade - Was just OK. Lemonade that was on the watered down side, but was somewhat refreshing because I was dying of thirst. THE SERVICE ----------------------- - Employee who helped us with our order was friendly, but the cashier was a bit blah and not exactly the friendliest person, especially when we asked for extra utensils and napkins. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ - Smallish, tight interior that you can dine in at, but don't be surprised if the next table is sitting on top of you. + There are also 5 outdoor tables on the narrow street. - Entrance is tight too. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- + Even though this bakery is ranked highly on Tripadvisor, there was no crowd on the Monday morning that we swung by. The strawberry shaped dessert looked beautiful and was clearly made with a lot of care. Inside was a fresh strawberry puree that tasted good, but for 20 dollars it did not feel worth it. The flavor was fine, just not memorable enough to match the price. The cookie was the complete opposite. It was huge, perfectly baked, and easily the best thing I tried. The outside had a slight crisp, while the inside was soft, gooey, and rich. Every bite tasted buttery and balanced, not overly sweet. At 15 dollars, it felt fair given the size and how satisfying it was. Overall, La Pâtisserie du Meurice delivers impressive craftsmanship, but value depends on what you order. The strawberry dessert looks better than it tastes for the price, while the oversized cookie is absolutely worth getting and the clear standout.

Once inside, I had to order the mango pastry, the focus of countless drool-worthy social media posts. The attention to detail was crazy - from the slightly dimpled texture of the skin to the vibrant coloring, this was the most realistic-looking mango I've ever seen outside the supermarket. And the flavor did not disappoint, with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy that practically melted in my mouth. I also picked up a clementine pastry, which while not quite impressive-tasting as the mango, actually looked even better in person before I cracked it open. These pastries are take-away only(at this location? ), best consumed or chilled within an hour, so keep that in mind. As a dessert/pastry/fruit lover (and a tourist), it may be worth a stop and is certainly novel, but personally the almost 20 euro per pastry price tag will keep me from coming back.
