We had a chance to try out a couple new f pastries as part of a food tour in La marais. We had two things and they were both really good ! 1) chocolate ganache - very rich and yummy , not too sweet . The chocolate was of really high quality . 5/5 2) pistachio cake - I love pistachio pastries and this was very good . Very delicious ate pistachio cream and the combination w the crunchy biscuit was fantastic Highly recommended !

It was here that I discovered chouqettes. Little airy pastry bites filled with a delicate cream. So addictive .... I cannot say enough for this little French baked goodness. The little bits of pearl sugar and crisp outside. Perfectly, balanced with the delicate cream filling.

I knew the patisseries in France would be life-changing, and after Yann Couvreur, pastries are never going to be the same again :') Yann Couvreur has the honors of our first pastry shop in France. My friend called it her favorite bakery in the whole world o.O I was so intrigued and made it our very first destination after dropping off luggage. Tucked away in a picturesque alleyway, everything about this patisserie is so elegant yet simple. The decor is primary wood and stone, which gives off down-to-earth vibes (no pun intended!) Upon entering, you are greeted by a museum-worthy display of pastries, cakes, and tarts in glass cases. I suggest browsing online before going, because literally everything looks good and you'd probably end up with an entire pastry feast if you don't think plan ahead. I would highly recommend the pistachio chocolate roulé. Yann Couvreur's version was my favorite even after trying this pastry at multiple places. *The viennoiserie layers were so perfect, with just the right balance of buttery, flakey, and fluffy *Interestingly, the thick chocolate paste embedded in the concentric pastry layers was nutty and reminiscent of a praline *The generous coating of chopped pistachios was the chef's kiss (it was so sad to see some of these falling while eating the pastry!) We also tried the plié NYC, which is essentially a pastrami croissant bar. It was a delicious savory option, with very smokey pastrami surrounded by a very airy puff-pastry-like croissant. They have a selection of coffee drinks and juice as well. We got the apricot juice, which was yummy and refreshing. Yann Couvreur is my favorite bakery in Paris. I love this place because the pastries and cakes are so thoughtfully and precisely crafted. The ambiance feels classy, but it's unpretentious the prices are surprisingly very reasonable. (Plus, no insanely long lines! I would choose this over luxury fruits at Le Meurice any day)

Yann Couvreur is located right around the apartment we were staying in Le Marais. I must've walked by the patisserie 10 times until finally giving in to trying the place. I've been to many patisseries up to this point of my trip, so I was looking for unique pastries I haven't tried yet. I ordered the sablé chocolat and tarte vanille, and they did not disappoint! The chocolate sablé cookie had a surprising hazelnut flavor to it like nutella. The vanilla tart was the star of the show. I ate it all up in one sitting. The crust was wonderfully crunchy. I loved the caramel inside and the lightness of the vanilla outer layer. Can't wait to try the other pastries!

Stopped here on a food tour and we tried three of the different shoes. I thought the vanilla custard filled was a little on the sweet side for me. However the regular one - amazing! Nice and flaky, sweet but not too sweet, a little hint of citrus. So great. Can't wait to return to try the croissants!

Idk what this was... it it was delicious

Really cute bakery in the most touristy part of the Marais. Definitely 'stumbled' into this place - like most people. I was definitely feeling peckish, and thisrty - and up came this place during my local shopping stroll. The place attracted me mostly because of all the tourists coming out taking instafood pics of their pastries (I do the same) - so I had to check it out. Was pleased that it was clean, chic, and honestly I don't really know what if ever they're famous for anything - all i know is whatever, sweet bread loaf that I got (see pic) was tasty AF.

This patisserie is pretty average. Loved the interior and the look of the desserts... but the actual dessert itself wasn't that great. We got the hazelnut chocolate one and the raspberry mint cake. The hazelnut one was way too sweet. If you don't order a coffee or some kind of drink, you probably won't be able to finish the dessert. It does have pretty good textures though. The outer shell is crunchy and it has crunchy bits of hazelnut inside, along with mousse. But overall, this dessert is extremely sweet. The raspberry mint cake was pretty average. The mint was very overpowering, it almost tasted like i was eating toothpaste or drinking cough syrup.... the flavor was not great and the cake itself was kind of soggy from being soaked in the jam all day. I did not enjoy this dessert either. Didn't have a chance to try their pastries or other desserts, but my experience with their desserts was not great.

One of my favorite places to get croissants in Paris. It is beautiful and located in the very busy Le Marais. They had other gorgeous desserts but I didn't get to try any of them. It could be the location, but it gets pretty busy. The service is pretty quick and very friendly.

I just HAD to drop by this patisserie twice! On the first round, I found myself in love with their pastries which are flaky on the outside while still being chewy inside. Their Kougin Amann was also delightful as it wasn't too sweet and overbearing on my taste buds! Though, I gotta say that their coffee is rather on the more sour side for anyone that might be thinking of ordering one! :)

Some of the best (and prettiest) pastries and desserts in the area! I loved the eclair and the croissants. Everything was delicious and I definitely recommend a visit here.

Location: In the Marais area. The place: It's teeny tiny and really not meant to be a sit down place. There are about 10 seats, all bar-type, so it's pretty cramped. Most people were picking up to go. They have a lovely display of pastries and baked goods. The goods: I had a chocolate éclair and it was GOOD. You can tell they use quality ingredients (not that I was worried) but what I most liked was that it wasn't overly rich. It has the perfect balance of chocolatey goodness to ensure that you ate the whole thing without feeling sick after! I also had a latté and it was decent. These guys also make fresh juices Service: Fine. Price point: I think for the latté and pastry, it was 9€.

This is a unique dining experience for breakfast as it was a 2 course breakfast meal with orange juice. The first course was an omelet, potatoes, and salad, and the second course was a large fluffy pancake and side of mixed fruit. Everything was great! I also got an iced coffee and mimosa also which were very good. The staff is very friendly and laid back. This place is very charming and a cool vibe. I would definitely return and I highly recommend Eggs and Co!

The owner is straight forward to warn larger groups of the small tight spaces up top and wards off any NBA players without helmets as their is low clearance upstairs. The menu is all French and limited English by the servers but it's easy enough to navigate. We came with 5 for Sunday brunch and sat right away but one had to sort of share space at the table. We ordered mixes of omelettes and Benedicts. All came with nice small whole potatoes and a little sour cream. You can modify or add quite a bit. Eggs are your choice of style ultimately and apparently the brunch includes pancakes. We were confused by that and they come after you've eaten the other items. I'm not sure if we paid for that or not but we chose to move on without. It came with your choice of tea or coffee AND a small orange juice. The eggs were cooked very delicately and moist with cheese and good meat in the omelette. Overall it was a fine breakfast compared to croissants and coffee but a little expensive.
