Quiche and coffee were great! There is a little area to sit with chairs and pillows. Looks like they get a little line.

The Mille-feuille is incredibly. I ate there every morning. The baget sandwiches were fantastic.

I stopped by this morning for croissant and orange juice. This is a lovely little bakery and the staff here is very friendly. The croissant is of true Parisian quality, flaky, soft, and delicious. The orange juice was with zero doubt fresh pressed with beautiful color, tart and sweet. Unfortunately I am only spending one night here, been to Paris many times so heading South today. Luckily I will be spending my last night at the same hotel and I'll be back here enjoying croissant, orange juice, and more of their offerings. Splendid!

Pastries in France honestly hit different. I came here every single day during my last visit in the morning and sometimes the afternoon since my hotel was close by. I had absolutely no regrets and writing this review is making me miss all the delicious pastries that I had while I visited. Everything that I tried was absolutely phenomenal and it would be hard to find something that you wouldn't like. Honestly need to plan another trip ASAP so that I can indulge myself in more of these delicious French pastries!

"I'll come 'round sometime and get that squeak out of your door." - Roux, Chocolat the Movie I mean who doesn't love a morning croissant, right?! How about a chocolat & buttery croissant fresh from the oven, flakey, in a charming café in Paris? It can't get better than Les Caprices de Charlotte in the Madeleine. Les Caprices de Charlotte is my go-to spot for the perfect croissant and an absolutely divine cup of latté. It's kinda-sorta on a side street, 14 rue de castellane, yet still in the heart of Paris. I fell in love with the small café charm, the early hours with the freshest smell of baked goodies, and the fact that they only speak French. Oui! I seriously feel like Johnny Depp as Roux every morning! "Bonjour monsieur" is my greeting every morning as I enter Les Caprices de Charlotte. I've only been an early morning bird thus far, however I've heard that lunchtime sandwiches and bites are just as delicious. Next time! A small price to pay being Parisian, right? I highly recommend Les Caprices de Charlotte to all looking for that perfect croissant in Paris. Of course if you're Juliette Binoche better yet! it's on me! Je t'aime!

Cute, small boulangerie. They don't really speak English but you can get away with pointing at what you want. I really liked the pain au chocolat

I came here for breakfast this morning. We ordered a chocolate croissant and a regular croissant. Apparently if you take it to go it is slightly cheaper than to stay and eat at the store. The regular croissant was absolutely delicious and buttery tasting. Hubby said the chocolate croissant was sweet but good.

This was a really great find near our hotel in Paris. Just a short walk to find the most amazing raspberry tarts! We had croissants here also, which were better earlier in the day than later in the day but overall everything we tried here was great. I came back twice after the first raspberry tart to get more tarts! Even though I don't speak French, the staff here was very friendly and helpful, which was very refreshing as I did not find this the case in many places in Paris. I would definitely come back here for desserts the next time I'm in Paris.

Nice place in a hidden location. I almost walked past ut, but the smell of deliciousness wafted past me. All I could think was "crossaint", and lo and behold, there were chocolate crossaints waiting for me. When I got home and heated it up, it proved delicious! (They were cloding, but they also had sandwiches, brwad, desserts, and other baked items.)

A proper Patisserie in the heart of Paris, France 8RR !! This beautiful little corner Cafe has beautiful cases exploding with delicate creations that can be viewed from the street. Eye candy !! Comfortable and clean w/ friendly staff eager to assist if your French is not Parfait :) Charlottes is worth the distance to travel and fill a bag to take back to your house, hostel or hotel ! Grab a sandwich, Quiche other for a picnic in the park. There is Something for everyone's budget. $1 croissants w/ high-quality butter!! I just loved it! Enjoy!

THE SERVICE ----------------------- + All class, top notch white glove service - literally - they handle the macarons with much care like it were gold! THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Located in the heart of the Champs-Élysées on Rue Lincoln, so, YES, it is busy like rush hour outside ... and inside. + There are 2 sides to this massive flagship location - you can either make a purchase of macarons at their store OR dine/sit down in their tea house. I came here on my first visit to France with my sister and brother-in-law. I had just finished my time at the Eiffel tower and walked over to this restaurant for a drink and a snack. I was seated immediately, waiting for the rest of my party. The staff were incredibly patient, allowing me to stay for the fifteen-ish minutes it took for my family to arrive. We, of course, ordered the hot chocolate topped with cream. It was incredibly rich, which was the draw. It was required that we each ordered our own teapot, which provided about two and a half cups of hot chocolate. This was a bit excessive, as the drink was heavy and I could only stomach a cup. I did wish the restaurant allowed us to split the pot amongst our table. Nonetheless, I enjoy dining at Carette and returned on my second Paris trip with my husband. Anyone visiting for the first time should try their thick hot chocolate at least once.

This restaurant is elegantly decorated, having plenty of seating, and a piano where performers come to play in the evening time. It also had some truffles, which gave it a very distinct taste. While truffles are not my cup of tea, the chef here somehow did make it my cup of tea when he included truffles in my croque. We also came here for dinner, in which I ordered grilled salmon while she ordered steak. The portions were smaller than expected, but the food was prepped decently. The side of potatoes and veggies, along with dinner bread, was decent for a late-night meal. The breakfast service was great. I ordered a salmon and cheese omelette, with a side of avocado, a cappuccino, and a glass of water. Again, the portions were smaller than expected, but the meal was prepped well. It is not the most extensive menu but every item is delicious, made fresh with the finest ingredients, and cooked to perfection, by far one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Fresh seasonal fruits are picked and sliced at the peak of ripeness, their croissants, breads, and viennoiserie are as good as the best Parisienne boulangeries, even the butter comes from La Maison du Beurre Bordeir, one of the finest creameries in France. There are 3 breakfast options, Continental €39, Bien Être (well-being) €60, and Américain (American) €50 pp. I selected the American breakfast as it was a better fit, and had a wider variety of choices, Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon or ham, French Toast, Pancakes, or Crêpe, Eggs any style fried, pouched, scrambled, or as an omelette, with two sides choices, smoked brisket, veal sausage, cooked or raw ham, mushrooms, cheese, herbs, tomatoes, potatoes, and baked beans. I tried every item on the menu and was extremely pleased, though if I had to pick a favorite it would be the Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise sauce and black truffles. There is also a dim sum menu which was good, but not exceptional, reminded me of Hakkasan, it even comes with training chopsticks. We are not talking about Triple Michelin stared restaurant, but the service is graceful and efficient, you'll immediately be impressed by the staff, their attention to detail, gracious and perfectly choreographed service, unlike some top rated restaurants were their service is as charming as a theoretical physicist. They remembered my likes and dislikes, days, even months later, not just the food but my favorite table was reserved every morning. There are several excellent options in Paris's 8th arrondissement, also known as Triangle D'or, Le Cinq @ George V comes to mind, opulent, elaborate menus, sure to please, however it can't match Le Joy with its more intimate surroundings, outstanding food, and warm service.
