Excellent coffee and pastries made this to go to place during my weeklong stay in Paris around Easter. I tried to place my order in French put. The staff recognized that I was English speaking and converse with me in my native tongue. Quick efficient service with a smile goes a long way. Came here 2 days in a row to grab baguettes for breakfast while on a trip here. Bread was all very fresh and warm and great for sandwiches. Summer Salad was nice too! It had strawberries and avocado and some cheese on top which was a good combination. Had quite a lot of spinach in there which got a bit too much but we ended up keeping the extras and using them in sandwiches. Salmon Sandwich and Ham & Cheese Sandwich were both good! Cute little bakery with a lot of options and some tables outdoors, perfect for breakfast or picking up a snack. They've won some awards for their baguettes, but we didn't get to try them and instead got pasties. Both pastries were crispy and flaky! Love this place! The mille feuille is to die for! It's best eaten right then and there, as the pastry is not as crunchy if they pack it for the road. They offer a sandwich/pastry combo meal deal and can pack it to go. We took the a couple of sandwiches (which were also quite tasty) and a couple pastries (including the mille feuille) on the train to Nice. That's how we found out the mille feuille was best eaten in-house. Still good though. read more

I don't have much of a sweet tooth so, although they looked beautiful and I was extremely temped by a raspberry pistachio mille feuille, I did not take the opportunity to try dessert here. My sandwich, however, was warm and filling, with at least three different cheeses and sun-dried tomato on top. It was delicious and easily kept me going until our rather late dinner that night. They also have an affordable combination for lunch, as others have mentioned. Only one or two small tables to dine inside but about 6 outside. This quickly became our "local" boulangerie during our 2-week stay a few blocks away. The basics: pain au chocolat, croissants, and baguettes all fantastic, and quick/easy to-go espresso was super convenient. The pre-made sandwiches on baguettes (mozzarella/tomato and tuna were our faves) were our lunch-on-the-go for more than a few tourisy/museum days, they held up well while traveling, and were ooooh-sooo-yummmy!! And a great deal: The dollar/euro was just about 1:1 and these were 5e50, that is, cheaper than for example a US Subway 6-inch, with more food, and about 10,000 times better tasting and better ingredients. Even when busy, the staff was patient with our very limited French language skills. We tried as many boulangeries in the neighborhood as we could, and consistently found this one never dropped out of the top 3 in any specific item/category. Can't wait to go back! read more

Went here for a quick bite to eat before a full day of sightseeing and it was sooo worth it. The croissants, the sandwiches, the baguettes mmmmmmm--great fuel for walking around Paris. La Parisienne is another patisserie I had the pleasure of visiting on my most recent Europe trip. They sell an array of French desserts from flan to macaroons and everything in between. They offer dine in (though it was too cold) and take away. In addition to desserts they also sell freshly made in house breads and sandwiches. They offer a baguette, dessert and drink combo which was what I ordered. I had the ham and cheese baguette sandwich as a combo with a chocolate flan. The baguette was extremely crusty to the point that my jaw ached.... though the ham and cheese were fresh and delicious that they made up for the rock of a baguette! Overall a great experience which included a saucy hot headed server who did not take kindly to our indecisiveness and total lack of command of the French language....got to love the French!!! They have "combos" with one baguette/quiche/salad+ drink+ dessert for less than 10 euros. The vegetarian quiche, the chocolate eclair and a tart with berries were delicious!
