Pain aux raisins, croissante aux amandes et chocolat

Cute little bakery with a lot of options and some tables outdoors, perfect for breakfast or picking up a snack. They've won some awards for their baguettes, but we didn't get to try them and instead got pasties. Both pastries were crispy and flaky! We enjoyed them but agreed that the chocolate and almond croissant got a little heavy towards the end so you might want to share it.

Viking Bread - multi-grain with seeds

This bakery is always crowded. We buy the sandwiches and I get a baguette of the Viking Bread. This is a dark multi-grain loaf with seeds. It is marvelously flavored and chewy. The only pastry we tried is the chocolate chip cookies, which are loaded with chocolate and divine!

Lines are long but the service is quick, a very nice bakery, beautiful displays of various pastries, but came here for almond croissant, (most bakeries don't have it) and the usual suspects of butter croissant, baguette.

I don't have much of a sweet tooth so, although they looked beautiful and I was extremely temped by a raspberry pistachio mille feuille, I did not take the opportunity to try dessert here. My sandwich, however, was warm and filling, with at least three different cheeses and sun-dried tomato on top. It was delicious and easily kept me going until our rather late dinner that night. They also have an affordable combination for lunch, as others have mentioned. Only one or two small tables to dine inside but about 6 outside. Worth a stop for a quick bite if you're in the area.

Excellent croissant! Warm, flaky, buttery. Nothing else to say!! 4 Euro for 2 croissants and a coffe!

Cafe Americano and the half eaten chocolate and pistachios swirl. Nice way to start sightseeing.

Great everything! Choco croissants, choco and pistachio swirly bread, and reg croissants are all great. The espressos are awesome too. When you are on the go or if you want to kick back there, you can't go wrong here.

Went here for a quick bite to eat before a full day of sightseeing and it was sooo worth it. The croissants, the sandwiches, the baguettes mmmmmmm--great fuel for walking around Paris. There were a lot of locals there just relaxing and reading their newspapers. It was also probably a bad idea to have my very first espresso here because from now on nothing else will compare. To top it off, the ladies helping with our order were enthusiastic, friendly, and welcoming despite my horrible attempt at French. Overall would definitely recommend stopping by La Parisienne!

My meal: chocolate flan and a ham and cheese baguette sandwich!

La Parisienne is another patisserie I had the pleasure of visiting on my most recent Europe trip. They sell an array of French desserts from flan to macaroons and everything in between. They offer dine in (though it was too cold) and take away. In addition to desserts they also sell freshly made in house breads and sandwiches. They offer a baguette, dessert and drink combo which was what I ordered. I had the ham and cheese baguette sandwich as a combo with a chocolate flan. The baguette was extremely crusty to the point that my jaw ached.... though the ham and cheese were fresh and delicious that they made up for the rock of a baguette! Overall a great experience which included a saucy hot headed server who did not take kindly to our indecisiveness and total lack of command of the French language....got to love the French!!! Bon appetit!

An amazing bakery!! No wonder they have won Best Bagette! (Which are amazing!) Everything is beautiful and well-presented. The sandwiches are gorgeous. The baguettes devine.

Lived next to this place over the summer. Their baguettes are to die for and the service is always with a smile.

This boulangerie is super close to the NYU Paris campus, and my classmates and I come here at least twice a week.

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
