We were seated upstairs on the second floor, which gave us a lovely, relaxed vantage point away from the entrance rush. We ordered their breakfast set, which came loaded with two flaky croissants, fresh baguette with butter and jams, two eggs Benedict, fresh juice, and, of course, their legendary chocolat chaud africain. That hot chocolate is as thick, rich, and velvety as advertised, almost like drinking liquid ganache. We also couldn't leave without ordering their famous chestnut Mont-Blanc pastry, which was silky, sweet, and totally lived up to the hype.
