Odette is the place to be for your choux de la crème. Cream filled pastry puffs that come in various flavors, topped with icing. They are not big but big enough the enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea without the worries about too much calories. You can enjoy a choux or two at Odette, sitting on the cute little terrace with a hot drink of choice, or you can buy these little pastries and eat them at home. I choose six different flavors and brought them home with me so we could have them in the evening. I tried the lemon, pistachio and berries. They were all delicious, especially the pistachio. Creamy, soft and full of taste. When you buy them for at home they come in a pretty Odette box. These choux also make a great gift for a sweet tooth friend. The cream puffs here are incredible. They are also simply adorable and come in a variety of flavours with pastel-coloured tops. I cannot recommend this place enough not only for the cream puffs but also due to their ideal location. You'll take a little winding staircase to a tea room with views looking out to Notre Dame. If you're able to try and nab the table by the window as it has such a romantic feel to it and you'll feel as though you can nearly touch the church. Very good prices I would say considering how centrally located it is and we received very friendly service. One of the cutest little spots for a little pick me-up and a coffee. read more

Cute little shop filled with cream puffs that won't disappoint or break the bank :) They come in a variety of delicious flavors and pretty colors. The hubby and I made a quick stop here during our walk from Luxembourg Gardens to the Notre Dame Cathedral to pick up a box of 6 for later. They still tasted great after sitting in our hotel room for a few days. While in Paris in July 2014, I walked past this amazing little shop on my way to my favorite cathedral, Saint Etienne du Mont, and I thought "oh I need to try that place". Please change the water out. It's OK it's from a quick machine, but I felt I got a really nice gulp of stale Paris pipe water (same every time). Two-bite beauties, like other Yelpers mentioned for approximately €1.9 each with a sweet fondant icing that you should taste but can be removed. The shop itself is what you could call Instagram-worthy and service is pleasant. Location-wise, it's a block from the Seine and right across from Notre Dame. You could probably miss this shop if you weren't looking for it because it's just a tiny bit off the street right behind an Asian food shop. Other Yelper's photos do show off the color palate in the glass case once inside---take your time picking flavors. Travel buddy and I chose the more traditional flavoring; and, my personal favorite was pistachio. Next time I'd try coffee, blueberry, and green tea. Note that there are seats on the second floor and one restroom on the third. Surprisingly I remembered this place from our trip that seems a lifetime ago, but definitely brought back a happy memory. Well worth the money and definitely more satisfying than dropping $4 or $5 per Macaron at one of those over-hyped bakeries. This is the only Odette location in all of Paris and the world , so be prepared to drop them euros! Location without map: This place is literally across the street from Notre Dame towards the Shakespear bookstore. Fun things to see next to Odette: Slanted buildings in the adjacent alley (old-schol Parisian architecture). i am really over macarons and needed to switch up mode of calorie intake this time when i visited paris. odette sells choux (puff pastries) in so many yummy flavors. i tried all of them except for the rose (not a fan of floraly things). they are two-bite size so you can eat more than one! they are served cool. they can be packed up in a box to go but they do not travel well so i would recommend eating them there or as soon as possible. read more

Odette is a delicious little place which sells "The best chou is Paris", according to their window display. I haven't tried them all so I won't rule on that, but they are indeed really good. I tried vanilla, coffee, praliné (my favorites), chocolate, lemon (really good) and berries (a little bit less good). They also have orange, matcha tea, caramel, pistachio, which are on my to-eat roadmap. Highly recommended for a chic but not that expensive gift: €9.90 the (pretty) box of 6 chous, and you can of course choose the flavors you want. We went twice during our trip, first to the Les Halles location which we stumbled upon after dinner. I tried the vanilla, citron and coffee flavors. Vanilla was my favorite. A few days later we found the original location on Rue Galande (right around the corner from Shakespeare and Company). It is such a quaint building. It had just started raining so we popped in for Round Two of cream puffs (just vanilla this time) and coffee, and enjoyed it on the second floor (their is a small seating area out front, but by sure to check out upstairs). We were lucky enough to get the table by the window which looks right out to Notre Dame - could not be more picturesque. You know those frozen eclairs from Gordon Food Services that u put out for those relatives you don't like...that's what these taste like. Those eclairs are actually better. The vanilla was ok. The Chocolate, peach, carmel and praline were bad. The pistachio was awful. These were not what I would call cream puffs. They were all cold and filled with a pudding like goo. No cream here. I had some time to kill before a concert so I found this nice little cafe to hang out in. I ordered their hot chocolate which was €4.5. I thought it was a bit pricey but it was pretty good. I had 3 cream puffs. Their fillings were spot-on and tasted great. I'm not a big fan of frosting so I'm not sure if I would go back for them. If they had ones without, I would definitely get those. They have a wide range of flavors to choose from and my favorite so far is the coffee flavor.
