What a nice experience visiting this business. They offer an array of baked goods. The Ube Brioche is so good! The employees treat you nicely and the do their best to get your order right. The turkey avocado sandwich was quite dry. It wasn't very good and had a lot of mayo on it. We were also surprised that although malls are busiest on weekends, they said that they only have soups on the weekdays so that was a big question mark. There were very few sandwich options as well, which is a bummer. What was best about this place was their cheese danish. We took it home and put it in our toaster oven and it was so crisp and fresh. Why one star? Because the sandwiches are mediocre... it's mall food, but that would normally get you 2-3 stars. One star because they don't provide you with cups of water and force you to buy one of their drinks. Not providing cups of water in a sit down fast food should be illegal. They have the soda machine that has water, they have small cups for water... but I guess someone decided they needed to push bottle water. Terrible business. read more

This used to be my favorite sandwich place when I worked in the mall but the last 2 times I've gotten it to go I've been very disappointed with the quality of the sandwich. The chicken salad used to be full of fresh chicken and now it tastes like it's coming from a can, they used to use sprouts and now it's lettuce but they added cucumbers which is odd. The breads are still delicious but the sandwiches have gone down hill. Super friendly staff. I almost accidentally ordered a jalapeño cheese bread which looked like pesto. I cannot handle spicy foods so I'm so glad the worker double checked with me after I pointed. We've eaten here in both the Concord and San Mateo malls previously, and had good experiences in both cases. I like their Cheese Breads, but they were all sold out except for the Pesto Cheese - not my first choice, but I opted for it. My wife had a combination of the vegetable soup and a sandwich. We came at a good time, because the line was short; while we were eating at a table, it got to be a good length. The dining area is not that large and somewhat cramped with tables fairly close together. But it's fine for a quick meal if you can find a seat. Otherwise it might be best to get to go and eat elsewhere in the mall. My pesto cheese bread was good and my wife liked her soup. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before! I grew up eating here, when it was still called Grain D'or! The goods are always fresh and delicious. The prices have increased over the years slightly but the quality hasn't waned. Go tos: creamy french, walnut cream cheese, strawberry danish, chocolate eclair. The swiss turkey avocado on focaccia bread is my favorite item from the deli. Add a cup of tomato basil ravioli and your meal is complete! I was overly excited to visit Stoneridge Mall because I knew Andersen Bakery was open for business. There was a bit of a line but it was worth the wait. Maybe about 15min of waiting, we were able to still order 2 cream French sliced, California BLT, Tomato Ravioli Bowl, Hot Turkey Panini, and 2 Diet Pepsi. It's not a huge place but seating was available. We found a table real quick. Our food took about 10-15min as well to receive. My California BLT is always tasty and the best at Andersen Bakery... love the sprouts and the amount of crispy bacon, avocado, tomatoes and lettuce. My sourdough was grilled well... there was a slight piece of one half of my bread that was burnt but I still ate it. My tomato ravioli soup was good but more watery this time around so a little more on the bland side. My husband said his Turkey panini was good. The creamy French is the winner of the day as it was perfect before lunch and after as a dessert. We will be back for sure since this is the closest Andersen Bakery open. I love the cheese breads here but today's visit did it for me. I ordered the cheese bread combo with a pesto cheese and their seasonal butternut squash soup that I also love. I waited about 15 minutes until my number was called and rushed back to work. I sit at my desk... I see the wonderful toasted cheesy bread bread, swoon. I take out my cup of soup and I'm, what the kids say these days, SHOOK!! I was gypped and given a half cup of soup. The coffee here is really good, I ordered a small black coffee and the flavor was so extremely bold you didn't even need half-and-half. I also ordered an oatmeal cookie and almond croissant with raspberry filling, both are really good. The oatmeal cookie was not warm but it was soft and did taste like it was made that day. I eagerly ordered the spicy turkey pepper jack, (my personal favorite) anticipating the soft focaccia and yummy chipotle mayonnaise. Instead I was served day old bread that was both chewy and crunchy; slightly stale and toasted bread is not part of any sandwich I'd call delicious. However, sometimes it may feel cramped in there because there is usually a long line for it as well. I had the Green Tea Matcha Tiramisu from Andersen's Bakery and it was just alright. There wasn't much of a matcha flavor and it wasn't very sweet at all. Unfortunately, it tasted very bland to me and it could've definitely used a flavor boost. I was so excited to eat here today until I noticed a few disturbing things. I noticed all employees wearing disposable gloves, even the ones touching cash and debit cards which was a little weird. I figured it was to keep their hands clean. Boy was I wrong...they literally walked over to grab sliced bread using the SAME gloves they had just touched a debit card with!!!! I saw this personally with 2/3 employees working and sadly cannot recommend or return to this business. Just imagine when your debit card falls on the ground or bathroom floor and then it lands in that employees gloved hand who then reaches out into all the bread to give you your yummy treat. So disgusting and should be reported to the health department. I'll save myself the trouble and eat elsewhere. If you decide to go here ask them to change their gloves or watch them the whole time. I love Andersen Bakery! Andersen Bakery is my go to lunch spot when I am shopping at Stoneridge! I also go to Andersen Bakery to get bread for dinner! Whenever I eat lunch at Andersen Bakery, I order a sandwich. I have two go to sandwiches when I go to Andersen Bakery. Depending on my mood, I either get a ham & swiss sandwich or the bbq chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches are delicious! I also heard that their salads are good too. I have tried several of their breads. My favorite breads are their cheese breads, specifically the international cheese bread. Their pastries are delicious as well. Everything is delicious and fresh. The service is always great as well! The workers are friendly and I always get my food quickly after I order it. I've gone here a lot and I've never had a bad experience at Andersen Bakery so I am shocked to see that the Bakery doesn't have the best reviews on Yelp. Also, Andersen Bakery has two lines. One line for their bread (on the bread side) and the other line for sandwiches or other food. I just wanted to mention that because sometimes it can be confusing to people who haven't gone to Andersen Bakery before. On Sunday I went to the bakery and I was looking forward to my favorite sandwich. I had not had one since the pandemic started. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed. The ciabatta bread was delicious but the sandwich had hardly anything in the bread. I ordered the caparese sandwich there was one small piece of lettuce and two small slices of cheese barely enough to cover the inside of the sandwich. To make matters worse the employees making the sandwiches were wearing masks but they were not on correctly. The masks were below the nose and not covering the nose. Very unsanitary.
