I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. Finally came around to getting to try it and it was fantastic. The food is delicious and the menu is rather large, so something for everyone. I wanted to try everything, I did get some pancakes which were a classic staple for dinner / brunch spots. I even got a crunchy taco which was so good and they give salsa on the side to dress the taco up. The ambience is very casual and the place is not super large but they make use of all the space pretty well. The service was great and we were seated right away. I'm only bummed they aren't open later most days. I also wasn't a big fan of the coffee, it was a little on the light side for my taste but not bad. I would come back and try something new because they have so many options, it all sounded so tasty. I would say this is a much better version of a local chain breakfast spot. Don't let the outside fool you, and be carful not to pass the parking lot since there is only one entrance/ exit area.

My fiancé & I wanted to go out for breakfast and decided to check out this place. I've actually never been here before but we wanted to try somewhere new. I ordered the country fried steak & eggs. For my two sides I got the cottage cheese and dollar pancakes. I enjoyed my country fried steak and they had good cottage cheese (some places don't lol). The pancakes were okay. My fiancé got the Canadian bacon & eggs. For his two sides he got hash browns and biscuits & gravy. He really loved the biscuits & gravy, he said it was so good. He enjoyed his Canadian bacon as well but said he would probably order them crispier next time. He didn't like the hash browns that much though, he said some parts tasted cooked good and some didn't. Overall though, we enjoyed our meal! It was a good first time experience. Their menu is also pretty big. I didn't see a lot of menu photos on here so I made sure to take pics of the whole thing. I definitely want to come back to try some of their lunch items next time and maybe even dessert. We also got seated pretty quickly and parking was fine. :)

We were unfamiliar with it, but stopped by Amy's because it was near my daughter's house and near the freeway to head home. I'm so glad we took the chance! This is a small establishment next to a motel (wasn't too excited for that, thinking it would be crowded). The parking lot is very small with small parking spaces. The inside is homey and seemed to be filled with locals not motel guests. We were seated immediately with drink and food orders taken soon after. There were five of us but the food still came out quickly. I ordered my standard biscuit and gravy breakfast which is definitely not their specialty. Later I saw that they offered menudo but I didn't see it on the menu and I was sad because I would rather have had that. Oh well, I'll need to come back. I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the food. Lunch is served all day and the Parmesan burger was really good. They have hot sauce on the table but also offer a trio of salsas for your food and they were all really good. I recommend Amy's; it isn't fancy at all but offers good satisfying food!

First time coming here place was a little very busy. Staff was nice and friendly and food was good. Place seemed to be clean. I would give this place another try. The only thing parking is a little rough small parking lot and the rest of the parking is for a hotel only.

Went here for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. I had the chilaquiles skillet with chorizo and home fries. Portions were big. I'm planning on going back next week!!!

Well I visited here twice this trip and had the eggs Benedict delicious big portions . My friends had the omelette which came with TWO sides a lot of food and no complaints.The bisc and gravy was good . The waiter was un believable he was so accurate and speedy . The place seems busy but not hard to get a table . Definitely returning

Don't be fooled by the parking lot, this diner is a hidden gem! Everything we had was delicious, the service was fast (especially for a Saturday morning!) and we would highly recommend! The only downside was that the menu had so many great options it was hard to decide

I had a family member give us a certificate for Amy's so my sister and I decided to give it a try. We went on a Monday afternoon a bit before 2 and we saw they close around 3 on every day besides Tuesday so we wanted to make it a fast trip. Walking in we saw the restaurant was a bit slow and there were only 2 other customers there. Very cute little diner with paintings and little decorations. I got the Ham, Turkey, and Bacon club with onion rings and my sister got the avocado burger with fries. They were both delicious and it took me by surprise that the restaurant was as slow as it was with such good comfort food. The waitress we had was so nice and attentive she checked in 3-4 times and we didn't have a single complaint. The serving size was so big especially for the prices. I would totally recommend coming to check them out.

Usually come here for breakfast since the omelettes are very nice portions and reasonably priced. (And the service is always A+) Decided to pop in for lunch the other day and tried the two taco plate with a chicken enchilada on the side. Two taco plate came with chips and salsa - you can tell the chips are made in house, Salsa is very tasty. Tacos were well made Chicken enchilada was the star, very well made. Can't go wrong with this place.

Wowza. This little place packs a punch in the food department. I used yelp of course to locate it and it's a very small diner along Magnolia Boulevard in Riverside . All the reviews are amazing and mine will be the same. The portions were large. I generally get chicken fried steak when I'm out to breakfast and I know that I'm never gonna eat the whole thing and this was no exception. Over medium eggs, perfectly cooked. Chicken fried steak, a generous portion with a really tasty gravy no flour taste in it had added pepper delicious. The hash browns were in a log formation and thick - not super crispy and stringy. I also had sourdough toast and a cup of coffee, which I don't normally drink, but their coffee was really good too! From the moment I walked in the door the servers were attentive and quick and friendly, everything I look for in a server at a restaurant. Humorous and funny. The price for my meal ran around 15 bucks and the coffee was additional on top of that. Super good price for the quality of this place that seems to be a hidden gem in Riverside! Kudos Amy's!! (They also seem to have some great Mexican options. There were lot of people after me and around ordering enchiladas and things like that - Viva)

When you have five severs behind a counter you would think, "Quick Service". Nope had to get their attention to get service. Even then it took another 5 minutes for the server to come to our table. As for the food, just ok and nothing special. read more

Amy's is absolutely one of the best breakfast places in all of Riverside! Trust me. I love me some breakfast! This little hole in the wall is one of those secret gems that is hidden in plain sight. Honestly, if you drive by it on Magnolia, you might assume its closed down, but when you walk in, its a wonderful and clean little diner that smells of so many amazing foods. I know it's not it's own dish, but Amy's has (hands down) the best country gravy. That's why I don't fuss around reading their epicly big menu (#options). I always go with the chicken fried steak and eggs. You get big portions of everything, and they slather on that delicious gravy and I'm in heaven. No need for that knife they gave you, that steak is tender enough to cut with your fork. read more

Ive been coming here for the last 4 years and its the best mom and pop place to eat. There portions are great size and there prices are not bad. Me and my wife always share and we have left overs every time. Im not sure why people are at i hop or other local restaurant because this place kills them all. Great times here always after churh we come and the employee's and food are always the best. My wife loves their salsa which is homemade but is secret how they make it so dont ask on how its done cause they won't tell you I've tried. Finally My personal favourite is there banana pancakes and bacon it always a good choice. My favorite place to have breakfast read more

The service there is good and the waitresses are friendly. You usually can sit wherever you like. I've been going there with my family for years. Went in today for taco Tuesday. Absolutely love their tacos. Some of the best in Riverside. Their other food is pretty good too and have a lot to choose from. read more

I realized I never updated my review. Since my first time eating here for dinner in 2012 I have become a Raving Fan. This is my go to breakfast spot. I don't like the dinner choices but love the breakfast selections and man do they fill your plate. Parking can be a challenge at times but what do you expect when a restaurant has great food. Priced perfectly and staff is available for you and never let you wait for that good coffee refill. Give them a try. On the dinner side I tend to be a creature of habit so I have never ate the dinner after the first go around. My mom loved their burgers and my friends all like the dinner. So I'm giving 5 stars on my experiences with the breakfast and service. I am a regular here. read more

One of my favorite places for breakfast in Riverside. Staff is always nice. Even on busy weekend mornings the food is amazing. I always order one of the skillets, never disappoints. The only bad thing I can say about this place which unfortunately is a big thing especially as far as breakfast goes. The coffee. I'm not sure what coffee they use but every time I go I'm not a fan of it at all. Other then that a great breakfast joint. read more

Went here for the first time, NOT GOOD, the service is crap! The waitress's were eating on the job then carrying out plates. Very slow service. Horrible food, not worth coming to at all. Don't waste your time here. I'd give zero stars if I could. read more

After my friend moved to this area, we were looking for a breakfast place to try. Yelp helped me find this. We had delicious breakfast items. The veggie omelet was delicious and they did my hash browns well done as I requested! Will definitely go back. read more

Went there for breakfast and was hesitant due to the appearance. To my surprise it was very clean and cute inside and the food was great! I ordered a breakfast croissant and my friend got stuffed French toast. The food was delicious! I gave it a 4/5 cause of the appearance on the outside and even though my sandwich was good it needed more bacon. read more

Here I am...at Amy's Cafe on Magnolia. It's my second time. My first time I had their Ultimate Omelette sans Mushrooms (hey! we all have something we don't like). Along with the Omelette I had whole wheat toast, home fries and coffee. The Omelette was the best I had in Riverside County so far: beating out Pat's Kitchen, the Cowgirl Cafe, IHOP, Dennys, Loris Cafe, and Jennys in Perris. Service was so so...but the food was so good, I decided to come back for a 2nd round. This time I ordered the Huevos Rancheros (upon the sage advice of my fellow Yelp community). (different waitress this time and better service) (incidently the salt and pepper shakers at the counter are a bit different than the ones on the tables, the latter dispense salt and pepper much better) Yes...the Huevos Rancheros are indeed the BEST, rivaling the best in Los Angeles. The Salsa is also pretty good. Overall the decor and ambiance of this cafe is very nice: Retro 50's like Jenny's. 5 stars for the Huevos Rancheros (they are simply divine). Overall I give this cafe a rating of about 4.5. Now if they were to serve Starbucks Coffee....I might be inclined to bump up my rating a tad. Is it worth going to? Absolutely! read more

I've been living in Riverside a Lil over 15 yrs now & I've always seen this place as I pass by up & down Magnolia. So finally today my cousin took me there for a late breakfast. The place is very small hole in the wall and looks old. Clean but old. When we were waiting to be seated, an employee just points to a table at the back and tells us to sit there. Not walking us there with menus. So as we sat, we were waiting for awhile to even get the menus. We finally got em and ordered our food. I got an ultimate omelette with home fries (not hash browns) n with pancakes. When I got my food, they gave me hash browns instead. A bit burnt too. I didn't wanna make a fuss because by this point I was a Lil annoyed. Ever since I walked in that door. Cuz before ordering our food, I asked for water with no ice and hot chocolate with no whip. Guess what I got...water with ice n hot chocolate WITH whip. The food was decent. Except my burnt hash browns. I did really like their pancakes tho, n I usually don't care about pancakes but I liked theirs. That's why I'm giving em at least 3 stars. But service was no bueno. We probably had 3-4 different servers. And when it came to split the check, it took awhile even tho it was pretty simple. And when we got up to pay, the cashier had no idea how to ring us up & we waited for another employee to come n help her. I mean, I MIGHT try this place again 1 day...but it won't be for a long time. Kinda bummed about the service. I'd probably only return cuz I really liked their pancakes THAT much lol read more

The place looks extremely dirty. Surprised they passed health or safety inspection. Decided to give it a try before judgement. Ordered a lot of food including a to go order to be cooked just before we left. Before we started to eat I started to notice a funny smell. If a smell is strong enough for me to smell, it's very strong. I'm pretty much nose blind. As I was eating the smell got stronger and I kept getting whiffs. Finally, the last time the dishwasher girl from the back walked by, I realized, it was her. By boyfriend, who also works in a kitchen, placed the smell as really dirty dishwater. It got so bad, I paid and walked out on our meals. read more

After calling Claimjumper and hearing a 2 hour wait for Mother's Day brunch, we decided to give Amy's a try. After a mere 10 minute wait (at brunch time, on a holiday!) we were seated and had a fantastic breakfast. I had eggs over easy with hash browns and sourdough toast, my husband had the Florentine omelette, and my kids scoured the eggs, bacon, and French toast. Coffee was good, as was service. We have definitely found our new breakfast spot! read more

Love their service. Very fast with the food and delicious too. They won by their prices! We love coming here on the weekends it's like a tradition for us. When we are hungry for breakfast or even lunch first thing that comes to mind is Amy's! My almost 1 year old son loves it too, but I think it's because of the ladies lol read more

Wow!!! Amazing breakfast!!! I got spinach wrap with home fries... other in my party got breakfast croissant and a veggie omelet. All the food was amazing. Very large portions. Croissants were cut in half and came with side for $6.95. Unreal. They also have daily specials and homemade soups. Sooo much better than any of the chain restaurants. We will make this a regular stop. read more

This is a great diner! My husband and I wanted to try something new and so we picked a few plates to try! Their stuffed pancakes are to die for! The staff was so pleasant and friendly. Their prices are extremely reasonable and their service was fast! I think it is family owned! The only thing I would say is their eggs Benedict was not good. It tasted sour and just not appetizing. My husband and I will make this our new go to diner. read more

Came here a few weeks ago and unfortunately, was not impressed. It took several minutes for us to even be acknowledged and seated. Our waitress was actually very good, so no complaints there, hence the two stars. My son ordered the cheeseburger, which seemed overlooked and a bit hard from what I tasted. I ordered the skillet with eggs, bacon, ham and hash browns. It was just okay, a bit bland. I got the side of biscuits with gravy and they were also a bit bland. I didn't finish either one and my son didn't finish his burger. I really wanted to like this place, but sadly, probably won't be back. read more

Heard about this place though the grapevine. Service is welcoming and great. Just weird that its next to a crap motel so dont come during the night hours. Food's great and portions are ginormous. You'll get fed for a great price. read more

Been coming here every once in a while . Will start being a regular now. I enjoy the experience when Im there. Nice big glass of ice tea and some chips and salsa is great. Food is above average and the service is great. They have daily specials and fresh soup. Everything is fresh and good. read more

It's an American diner with a Mexican flare. I go on weekends for a sadwhich or menudo with all the fixings. The waitresses are bubbly without it being annoying, always within eye shot, and food is fast and amazing. read more

Food is good, cafe is kinda retro Cali klitsch. Great blueberry pancakes although beware- they are huge! Real complaint is the incredibly slow service. Most of the patrons look retired so maybe it is just me wanting a quicker pace- had to ask for a refill on coffee three times. That said, I'd eat here again. Just across from Kaiser MC so convenient. read more

The only problem I had with my service was the wait to tell the waitress my order. There seemed to be a some confusion about which waitress had our table. However, the rest of the time was great. I ordered a steak sandwich with a salad and both were fresh. The drinks were refilled often. read more

This place is a real little gem. Menu is Country style with a Mexican flare. Great portions equal to price. They also have good specials if your not that hungry or watching your budget. Pancakes are better than IHOP. I had pancake combo(3 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon) and side of hash browns coffee and water $10.50. But i was stuffed. read more

It came with choice of house potatoes or hash browns , and beans. I did not expect to much for my steak, it's a breakfast cafe, they might get it close like a med, but I never get my rare. I WAS WRONG... IT WAS PERFECT!!! It had a char, like it was cooked over fire, it was so tender and juicy, and as a nice size cut. It was the most amazing steak I have had in a long time, and way better than even Flemings (they can't get their steaks right anymore). The chips tasted homemade and their chili verde sauce had pieces of meat in it (special little surprises in it). I do wish the sauce had a little more seasoning nd a kick, but they mixed it perfectly where my chips were still crispy, I still wanted more, and they gave it to me. Beans were ok, and the hash browns could have been served a hotter. Eggs were cooked perfectly so my over easy still had runny yolk, that could blend into my sauce. Husband had waffles extra crispy, and they were lightly crispy but very flavorful. He also had the chicken fried steak. The meat was tender and had a good crisp. It was seasoned very well. The gravy had solidified, so that was a little disappointing. The flavor again, could have had a little more kick, but overall he enjoyed it and would get it again. Our friends had the menudo, which he said was outstanding. The bowl is large, so get it to share if your also ordering food. It had a great kick! And the tripe, was tender and cooked to perfection. They also had the Chilliquilles verde and enjoyed it. Steaks cooked to perfection as well. We will definitely be back, and we have a list of items we want to try, thank you for amazing service and good food!

My 70 Year old parents were out visiting. I took my 5 kids and parents to Amy's Cafe because of the food. We went into Amy's and ordered 9 meals with appetizers. All was good. My Dad, being the generous father he is had grabbed the bill and paid. He is a 74 year old who has always shown his appreciation to everyone by tipping them. My father has always worked hard for his money and thus he enjoys blessing those who are not appreciated and often overlooked by others. My father looked for the cooks and took one step into the servers area and handed each cook a gracious tip. A young tattooed hispanic individual aggressively raised his voice at my 74 year old father telling him to get out of the building. My father finished handing the cooks their tip and the server stepped toward my father and continue to raise his voice to a yell. The server stepped to my senior citizen father as to an aggressor who is only looking to fight. The server was so out of line, another older server yelled from across the dinning room to "stop talking" and "Shut-up", even calling him out by name. I quickly walk over to assess the problem and this b oy was telling us we needed to get out of the building. I told the server, "his actions are really over the top", ad I will not ever be coming back to this place, as my fathers was just showing gratitude to the cooks! Again, the server was just wanting to yell instead of being grateful of the generosity... I will never be stepping foot into that facility again. I have never been disrespected like that, as my senior citizen father also deserve to be honored when showing the kind hearted gift he was giving. The old owners would never allow this to have taken place. This testosterone filled egotistical individual needs to work somewhere in the back, where he does not communication with the people who are the customer. read more

Went in on a Sunday, place wasn't too crowded and went in with a party of six for breakfast. Wasn't greeted and when finally approached, was told to go sit anywhere. We got our menus and drinks quickly, but after that was ignored for 20 minutes, and saw others coming in after us served with their food brought out. Called a waitress and asked to have our order taken, she replied in a little rude fashion. Took our order, and food took an additional 30 minutes. My steak wasn't what i ordered, asked for medium rare came out well done, and that took an additional 10 minutes. Came here because of the reviews, never returning because of the service. read more

I came here for the blueberry pancakes. It was my first time, and Monica took care of us. We sat at the breakfast bar and it was amazing seeing all the fresh food coming out of the kitchen. The blueberry pancakes and the biscuits and gravy were amazing. My boyfriend ordered the chile verde omlet with hash browns and french toast. All of our food was hot and fresh. after the good reviews i read I decided to give it a try. Went in for dinner. Waitress seemed to be more bussy talking to the cook then giving me good service. Decided to go a second time. The food was ok. Waitress (a different one from the previous time) was fast. But lacked being friendly. Would it kill her to crack a smile. All in all probably wont be back. There prices are cheap. so i guess if your looking for a cheap place to eat & dont mind the bad service this is your place. read more
