Small gem that I'm glad I ran into. We live about 4 min away and I was surprised that I had never heard of this spot. We saw it on the way to our appointment and we decided to go in and try it. The restaurant is really clean and the staff was nothing short of amazing. They were very kind and courteous, you don't get much of that nowadays. Don't come here hungry!! The wait to get your food is ridiculous. Waiter was nice. Simple Brunch menu, not many options though. We ordered menudo, enchiladas divorciadas con bistec, and a 7mares. The food took over half an hour to come out. Note, with that long wait, the chips and salsa should be free but it's not. They charge you for chips and a small thing of salsa. The menudo was delicious and had great flavor. The 7 mares, was sweet but lacked flavor. I had to add a bunch of salt which normally I never do at other restaurants. The seafood was cooked nicely, but it lacked vegetables. No calabasas/zucchini in it. No crab. I think it had 5 seafoods in it only (shrimp, octopus, muscle, fish, scallops) The chilaquiles weren't nothing to rave about. The pineapple water was watered down. It had a slight pineapple flavor with sugar. The coffee was watered down too. The handmade tortillas were thick and hard. This is a one and done for me. The wait is not worth the food. Wow what an amazing food experience fresh chips and guacamole handmade muletas everything from start to finish was delicious!! Maggie are waitresses was very nice and helpful a bit pushy when we first sat down it was our first time there. When she sat us down gave us some menus and she was already asking what we wanted to drink and eat told her she had to give us a few minutes to go over the menu. She first gave us some brunch menus We didn't see nothing there so we ask for the dinner menu and we order from there. Great vibe playing good music at a good volume. Solid Mexican food! Love that it's so close! The inside decor is really cute. I love that this place has tacos, huaraches, and tortas. It's surprisingly hard to find huaraches not all Mexican restaurants offer them. All the food was so good. All the ingredients were fresh. I tried the asada, pastor, and pork. All were tender, full of flavor, and good. Handmade tortillas, I think the huarache was handmade not sure. Chips and salsa were good. They also provide red and green salsa and a guacamole sauce. All were good. I did not think they were bitter. They also make the agua frescas. They are not made with powder. I had high hopes for this one. My husband and I decided to go there for our date night, and we were so disappointed with the food we ordered. I ordered the carne Asada Nachos and my husband ordered the chili Verde plate with pineapple aqua and Jamaica agua to drink. The Jamaica was very watered down but the pineapple was good. The carne Asada in the nacho was burnt and very greasy with no flavor. The chili Verde also had no flavor and the beans were very bland. I live local and this was my first time here. I ordered tree tacos. Carne asada, al pastor and carnitas, to try the flavors of their meats. It was outstanding, all of it. I could have eaten 20 tacos!! I can't wait to try other items. Compliments to the cooks!! The waitresses are very sweet too! Karla served me. I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand that every restaurant can have an off day, but this experience was beyond disappointing. The food was absolutely disgusting. The chicharrón tasted like when you leave your Chiccaron on your table for days and it picks up a smell! The birria was nothing but greasy, oily consome, meat with NO flavor. It honestly felt like the ingredients had been sitting around for far too long. The machete looked so good when it came out but it was so nasty. I took three bites and returned the rest to the server. Didn't bother to ask what was wrong with the food since me and my husband left most of our food on the plates. The restrooms were just as bad. They were filthy and looked worse than some of the public restrooms I've seen in Los Angeles. Cleanliness clearly isn't a priority here. To make matters worse, our waitress didn't even know how many enchiladas came on the enchilada plate. How does a server not know the menu? And what kind of Mexican restaurant charges $16 for an enchilada plate that doesn't even come with rice and beans? That's unbelievable. When the check came out it was $150.00. My husband was reviewing the bill and she had a bucket of beer and other food items! Our total bill at the end was 76.00 dollars and she didn't say a word until my husband brought it to her attention. In the restaurant there was about 3 tables with couples and noone had a bucket of beer. So we are wondering..... was this girl trying to scam us? Anyways! I don't recommend coming here but if you do choose to come here, make sure you come with the expectation that food is trash and servers are scamming your final bill. I'm usually not the type of person to complain about food, but this crossed the line. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. read more

I'm very disappointed because the food was amazing but my order was different from what was on the website. I ordered vegetarian chili Rios and it was 2+ beans and rice and when I had it delivered to my house, it was only one chili Reno with rice. And it was $18.
