Great food and great service! The Tortas are really good and are packed with flavor and meat. Salsas are really good and the red salsa is the perfect spice! My new favorite drink is the Jamaica-Fresa mix

I would definitely recommend this place for the Tortas. We went two days in a row and already tried the Milanesa, patrona and a ham it was so good and they are so hot when they give them to you and when you bite into it, it's like the bread crunches they come with the perfect amount of everything on it. I always ask for extra mayo, and they mix it with the lettuce delicious I recommend this place to anybody and everybody.

Finally a Good Torta Spot ! So glad a stumbled across this gem ! Absolutely one of the best tasting and quality tortas I've tried in so long. The cubana is the one I got and it is so delicious! Ask for the sauce that comes with the cubana it is the perfect combination. Place is fast and clean and people are super friendly. Definitely a 5 stars!

Chicken Torta Ahoganda - Never Again

I've always wanted to try a torta ahogada. I'm not sure if they're typically made with pork, but I don't eat pork, so I asked if I could get a chicken torta ahogada. I thought I would be getting everything that comes inside a chicken torta w/ some sauce (or broth) on top (or on the side), but I got 2 pieces of bread with like 7 mashed up beans smeared inside, a few chunks of unseasoned grilled chicken, and some slivers of red onion thrown on top. I got a small container of spicy salsa that wasn't anything special and another larger container of warm broth. I don't even know what kind of broth it was because it was pure spice and completely lacked flavor. I was generous w/ the stars I gave this place because the workers were really nice and because the (shredded) chicken flautas that my sister ordered were really good. She gave me one to make up for my bland and disappointing torta. Maybe I ordered the torta wrong, maybe they were running out of beans, but there's no excuse for unseasoned chicken. BTW, this torta plus a medium drink was about $20.

Anchos Southwest Grill & Bar: Phenomenal fresh food,…read moreincredible service, and nostalgia! I have been coming to Anchos Southwest Grill & Bar since they first opened! Even though it has been several years since my last visit after moving out to Palm Desert, coming back reminded me why this place is so special. Dean, the owner, greeted me personally, and just as always, the service was top-notch from start to finish. You can't beat those fresh, warm tortillas right off the tortilla press--absolutely divine! Pair that with their incredible, fresh Southwest flavor and the absolute best salsa in all of the IE and OC. And of course, the margaritas are still just as good as I remembered! We came in to celebrate my big sister's birthday, as Riverside was the perfect halfway point for everyone. Even with a party of 10, the entire staff handled our group flawlessly and made us feel so welcome. Thank you, Anchos, for continuing to deliver amazing food and hospitality after all these years. We LOVE your food! Arthur Cervantes, Broker

4th time in about 5yrs. Food was "ok". Sorry to say, you…read morewon't find real "street tacos" thedse are soft tortilla or hard shell. I guess with the theme of "homemade tortillas" they use them for everything including chips. Tacos hard shell, taste more like "flautas". Drinks are way "overpriced" for the size. We will never get an alcoholic beverage again. Table Salsa needs a fast makeover, it taste very blah, very mild and had a preservative/chemical taste. Quality vs. Popularity is taking over.

I'm usually a little hesitant about going out for Mexican food because I cook a lot of it at home,…read moreso I'm harder to impress... But I'm glad we chose Ay Mi Pa for my friend's graduation celebration. We came around 6-7 PM on a Saturday and surprisingly there wasn't much of a dinner rush yet. The place is huge with lively music and definitely gives more bar/club vibes as the night goes on. The aguachile was really good and flavorful. We also tried the espresso martini, which was a little too bitter for me. I ordered the Spicy Soltera and they accidentally brought me a different drink first. They let me keep that one and still brought out the correct drink, which was nice of them. And wow... definitely one of the spiciest drinks I've ever had. But I can't really complain when "spicy" is literally in the name. We chose the Jefe Skillet. It's massive and could easily feed three people. All the meats were really flavorful, the guacamole was great, and even the complimentary chips and salsa were good. The rice and beans were pretty average, but everything else made up for it. Overall, great food, huge portions, and a really fun atmosphere for a celebration. 8.5/10

Tio's Tacos -- what can I say? Funky, fresh, unique, and definitely a whole vibe…read more You're getting an experience here, not just tacos. The food was tasty and my pumpkin spice horchata was SO good, but honestly, I wouldn't come here just for the food. You come for the atmosphere, the art installations, the randomness, and the whole experience. We had fun eating, wandering around, and perusing all the quirky art after. It made for such a fun date night! I could also totally see this being a big group spot to grab tacos and beers, hang out, and catch up. The patios have a full-on party vibe, and inside is casual, lively, and fun. Basically, come for the tacos, stay for the chaos.

Terrible customer service and a menu that doesn't explain their own rules…read more We ordered the potato tacos and asked if they could be made hard shell. The woman helping us immediately gave us attitude and said they "can't" do that because the potato tacos are premade. That explanation made even less sense once the food came out. My girlfriend's potato tacos were served flat/open, while my dad's meat tacos came out hot in hard shells. So they clearly have hard shells and are actively serving them--we were simply asking for potato instead of meat in one. And nowhere on the menu does it explain that this isn't possible. In fact, the menu specifically labels other items "2 SOFT TACOS" and "2 HARD SHELL TACOS," while the potato option simply says "2 TACOS." It doesn't say soft, doesn't say they're premade, and doesn't say hard shell isn't an option. If there's some legitimate kitchen reason they can't put potato in a hard shell, that's fine. Just explain it politely and put it on the menu. Instead, the woman acted like we were asking for something completely ridiculous and was unnecessarily rude about a very simple request. Customers shouldn't be expected to know your kitchen's unwritten rules and then get an attitude for asking a question your own menu doesn't answer. Fix the menu or fix the attitude. Preferably both. We definitely won't be coming back
