I was back in Riverside, so I had to stop here again. Their enchiladas are always a hit, and the aguas frescas were perfect for the hot weather. The white rice was cooked to perfection, and as always, the restaurant was clean and well maintained. The customer service can be a little hit-or-miss depending on the day. They forgot my tamal de elote with my order, but they quickly corrected the mistake and I was able to take it to go. One thing I did notice is that the prices have gone up since my last visit, but honestly, I still think it's well worth it. The food has been consistently good, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. read more

I had the Enchiladas Michoacanas with fried chicken and it lacked flavor. I had to add salt to it. The enchiladas could use more cheese as well. My daughter got the tacos enchilados which are basically quesa birria tacos. They dip the tacos in the enchilada sauce and it comes with consome. She loved them. I tried them and they were flavorful. I should have ordered that instead. The horchata is really good and the agua de chia with cucumber needed to be a little bit sweeter. I like that they bring out tortilla chips and salsa, but just fyi, the green salsa is on the spicier side. The service was good, but our server took a long time at the end to check on us. We were ready to go and she would check on other tables except for ours. Will I come back? I think so, but will get the tacos enchilados (quesa birria) next time. read more

We traveled about 30 minutes out to this location because I was craving some Enchiladas Michoacanas. I saw their Instagram & decided to check it out, but it was a huge letdown. We have been coming here since the location was a different restaurant under a different name. The food at Azadero didn't disappoint. I ordered the caldo de camarón (shrimp stew) and it was very delicious. It has great flavor. It is piping hot when it first arrives at your table and comes with freshly made corn tortillas. The camarones al mojo de ajo looked delicious as well and come with tortillas. The only thing that was a little odd were the enchiladas michoacanas. They are essentially fried tortillas dipped in red chile folded like tacos, with a sprinkle of cheese inside - I've had Michoacán enchiladas dozens of times but never like this...they were interesting and different, when you order them with chicken, they don't come with chicken inside, they come with 2 drumsticks on the side. The restaurant was packed around 12:30pm - 1 pm. We had to wait about 5 - 10 mins to be seated and it got really packed as we were waiting. Service was good overall. read more

Wife and i were looking for a place to eat and decided to check their instagram page, the hype was high and very enthusiastic so we gave it a go...while the service was genuine and prompt, the food was disappointing, the pozole was mediocre, the moriquetas were tasteless, like if the cooks have something against flavor. The birria tacos were decent and their green sauce was actually the best thing they have. Safe to say we gave this place a try but this food is not that great, if you are looking for mediocre food, this is the place, at any rate we keep searching for good Mexican food. All this people bashing on azadero,either are no sabos or never been to Michoacan the enchiladas for me atleast have been the best I've had in California other they taste so home made, my parents are from Sahuayo and La piedad wich is michoacan so we've had traditional Michoacan food I wil definitely tell everyone to go try this place and the waitress was excellent read more

I have been there three times. The first visit was great. The service and the food were really good. The second visit, I noticed they changed the recipe of the steak ranchero plate. It was no longer good. The quality of the service dropped. I decided to give it another try; on my third visit, the waitresses seemed annoyed. I asked about them having coffee, it was after 2PM, she said they only had the morning brew. Came here to try the Mexican Michoacan Enchiladas. The red sauce used was traditional but the filling was not w what I was used to. The filling was chopped fresh onion and cotija cheese. My wife order cornudas, big mistake. They were cold flavorless with a ridiculous portion of meat very small little pieces. I order a plate of enchiladas with sesina meat and again my food was cold the portions on my enchiladas were good but cold. On my personal opinion I would not come eat to this place ever. read more

We really enjoyed our lunch here. My mom is from Michoacán MX and told me this was authentic Michoacán style food. The enchiladas and the morisqueta were on point. Everything came out fresh and were very good portions. Good flavor, felt like eating at my mom's. The restaurant was clean and organized. Our server was very nice and made us feel welcomed. It was slow during lunch hour so we got special attention. If you're from Michoacán, you won't be disappointed. Disappointed in this place... it's frustrating to find places that "foodies" promote and charge restaurant's sooo much money to promote them and go viral.... and when you come for yourself to try them... the food is not good or it's not what they "promoted" on social media.. anyway, ordered some enchiladas Michoacánas de asada.. felt like I ate only tortillas dipped in sauce and a little bit of grilled onion and no cheese.. the meat was literally "beef jerky"... nothing compared to what was promoted on IG... My wife and I were super excited to visit this restaurant after seeing all the pictures online. We ordered the enchilada plate with carne asada and potatoes. Well it was a huge disappointment! We will sadly not be returning to Riverside location. The carne asada was super tasteless and super dry not juicy like they show online same with potatoes dry and not fully cooked. It was a waste of our money. The enchiladas need meat inside unfortunately it was a poor quality onion enchilada with the tips of corn tortillas being hard. Maybe they microwaved them. I gave it a 4 only because the enchiladas were filled with cotija & onios. I'm used to them in our part of Michoacan being filled with refried beans or potato puree (more filling). But please know that the restaurant is authentic, Michoacan style food. Unlike others, mention it. I just ate my Uchepos with all the fixings...and...yum! That's all I can say. I will definitely go again. Because our waitress said that if we request to have the enchiladas filled with refined beans, they would do it for me. i ordered the chicken enchiladas and i had to put them together my self, the food here made all of my family feel sick including my 2 year old sister that is not picky at all, my moms order of 3 chicken taquitos EXTRA CRUNCHY came in soggy and the chicken inside was crunchy and hard. me and my sisters ordered chicken enchiladas and were surprised to see two big chicken legs that were way to dry and we had to put out enchiladas together, there was hair in our beans and rice and it was to hot and humid inside i thought i was about to start sweating and they refused to open the door or turn the ac on. dont say i didnt warn you about this place.
