Food quality is terrible. Service is great. Dining and outside are clean. Needs to be updated. I don't know who is actually going here and keeping it open. When I say the food was bad, it's bad. I wanted to take a nice drive in my new truck to enjoy a burger spot in Riverside that I use to frequent with my pops. I drove to the location off Indiana not knowing that they were temporarily closed. When I arrived I it was obviously closed so I called the 2nd location. I asked the girl that answered the phone if I can still come in and dine in. She said as long as I'm here by closing you'll be ok. Lucky for me walked in before closing there was still other patrons eating there food. I ordered a double bacon avocado cheeseburger combo , fries and coke. I received my food super quick not even 5 minutes later. I was then told I had to leave and take it to go because they're closing. Even though my receipt was to dine in. I asked the young man that took my order if I may please eat in the dining room and that I would eat super quick. His reply was no that unfortunately thats the way it is. l told myself wow I just drove 40 minutes to enjoy what I hoped would be great experience eating a fresh burger. I only went because when I called the girl that answered the phone said as long as I'm here by closing I'm ok to dine in. Unfortunately I was not allowed to eat my food inside. The girl that was mopping told me that shes been here all day and she wants to go home. They were even mopping around my feet as I waited for my meal. Anyhow I wasn't going to let that ruin my burger craving. So I decided to eat my burger outside by my truck, I don't want to make a mess in my new truck After taking my first bite i was totally disappointed!! The meat was stiff dry and bareIy warm. I can definitely tell that those patties were on the way to the trash especially not freshly cooked. I could not believe they did me so dirty like that. Why didn't I know about this location?! Shopping nearby we saw Johnny's. It has that mom n pop old school feel. Sort of like a beach location, brick building, fans going wooden booths. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews for Johnny's burgers but overall i think it's a good restaurant. My favorite has to be their zucchinis with ranch but their sandwhiches are also good. Burgers are good but not better than in n out. Service is usually quick but the drive thru does tend to be packed so i suggest ordering ahead by phone or just going inside to wait. I will say i prefer their old aesthetic that was more 50s diner inspired but the inside is still clean and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. One of their downfalls may be that their menu has too many items which makes the food good but it would probably be great if they just focused on a select items. read more

This review is overdue, I have had many issues with this location. Orders not received properly, food made incorrectly, employees rude and lying to customers that they are the owner, I've even seen workers loading bread onto their own cars from the restaurant. Today I went through the drive thru around 10:30 AM asked the girl taking my order for my toast to be toasted with butter, she said they'd toast my bread but the butter is on the side. Not only did I not get any utensils, ketchup, syrup or that BUTTER she said comes on the side... I get home and my pancake special has hair literally cooked in the pancake. This is disgusting!!!! It grossed me out, we did not eat any of our food we ordered ($53.78 total). I was told the owner is on vacation and won't be in until Wednesday. Best believe I will be there on Wednesday to talk to her again, because these kids they have working at their restaurant don't know how to work nor does it seem like they want to work. This is an old school independent hamburger joint. It's been around for almost 40 years. This place is totally legit and is in the official rotation when we are driving through Riverside. I had the bacon cheeseburger which was amazing. The lady had the grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato. Very nice piece of chicken. It wasn't some sort of processed piece of crap. The onion rings are legit and the fries were delicious. This has a really nice patio that's covered by this huge Vine tree-like thing over the pergola. It's very relaxing. Just went to Johnny's this morning tried the breakfast for the first time. I got the Pancake breakfast and a Bacon breakfast burrito. The eggs in the Pancake plate tasted like rubber and were dark, like if they were microwaved absolutely disgusting had to throw them away. The Sausage was not cooked from the inside, had to throw that away as well. Bacon breakfast burrito I ordered turned out to be a Ham breakfast burrito with way overcooked Ham super salty ham and mushy hashbrown. No flavor at all. Parking is limited but they offer drive-thru it does take some time but I don't mind. Usually the wait is around 10-15 minutes. The service is always good.
