Very good food. Its my favorite in Burlington. A very clean restaurant, very kind and knowledgeable staff.

This is my friend's favorite restaurant in Burlington, so I was excited to try it. We made reservations for patio dining on a Saturday night, and I felt good about how the tables were spaced. We ordered two types of pizza, the Revolution and the sausage, and both were delicious. The beer was great, too! Loved the service, too. Will definitely go back! read more

Soooo, we always tip 20% but this was the first time in probably one year not tipping the full 20%. We ordered our pizzas, one small and one large, both gluten free (my gf has a gluten allergy), after that we never once saw our server. We ran out of water within the first 10 min and never once got a refill(until we asked for the check an hour later). The pizzas came out, both small.... Not a single person checked to see how our food was, if the order was right, or if we even had water until we were leaving. When we were ready to leave, I looked and could not find any server for several minutes. I finally walked in and asked a bartender to close us out and get us some water. We still tipped 10% for the server that did close us out. Taste-wise, pizzas were average at best.... Very disappointed in this restaurant. read more

Burlington location has a great vibe. the help are very friendly and their clay wood fired pizza is as good as it gets. Their craft bears are a great pairing with the food. Salads are fresh, simple, and delicious. Get there before 6:15 if you don't want to wait for a seat. read more

Stopped in here for lunch and it was delicious! Came with a group of four and we ordered as pictured. The flatbread pizza was honestly to die for and I especially enjoyed the cheese and herb pie. I got a small and shared it with another person. Depending on one's appetite it could be shared or eaten alone. I also tried the vegan and gluten free medicine wheel and it surprised me for it was actually tasty. I would definitely come back here for lunch or dinner. read more

When I friend of mine learned that I'd be traveling to Burlington, she was quick to recommend this pizza place! The food (and beer selections) were phenomenal to say the least. While our table wasn't in the most convenient location (we were kind of awkwardly squeezed in between two other tables), the atmosphere of this restaurant was very comfy-cozy. A classic pizza and beer joint but with an artisan touch. After seeing the reviews we decided to come here for dinner and boy was it the perfect place after a day at the slopes! The flatbreads are delicious! We ordered a large and did half and half. My husband and I both agreed the new Vermont sausage won over the two. And then there's the fact that Zero Gravity is on site for some amazing local brews! Talk about a fantastic pairing. After talking to the staff and trying a couple of different brews we each made our selections and at the end of the night even decided to take a growled to go for us to enjoy at our inn. Best pizza and service. Despite a hectic Saturday with UVM students back, our server Catherine was on the ball. We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage on a medicine wheel. The biggest negative hit here is the price point. - (2) $8.00 for a small side salad that leaves you hungry & wanting more. 5 big bites and its gone (If you want to add cheese, more dressing this salad easily turns into $15.00) - 1/2 & 1/2 : If you want to do a 1/2 this, half that, pizza--THEY CHARGE YOU FOR IT. $1.00 for small, $2.00 for large. That's unreal I'm sorry! - 1 Large 1/2 Pepperoni, 1/2 cheese $22.00 for razor thin pizza.... +$2.00 upcharge At $55.00+ to be hungry again in 2 hours. This place was pretty cool, its a pizza and craft beer spot. I had the eggs Benedict flat bread pizza which was really legit. It had a couple of eggs over medium on it that were bomb. The only things that made this place shitty was the male waiter we got. This dude had the shittiest customer service I have seen in a while. Not sure what his deal was but fuck that dude. Had two pizzas, one pepperoni and the other cheese. The crust flavor and cook is incredible. Maybe the best I've had ever. However there's a seasoning issue with the cheese. They use a non-dairy cheese substitute and although it is quite cheese like in appearance, texture, and flavor, it is incredibly salty. The cheese only pizza was nearly too salty to eat and salty meats like pepperoni and sausage only exacerbate the problem. House salad with ginger dressing was exceptional and service was very good. Beverage selection was good and ambiance was cozy with stone wood fired oven in the dining area. I think they'd be well served to offer a standard mozzarella option for pizzas in addition to the non-dairy version that is currently mandatory. As it is, I don't think we'll be back as the pizza should be the star of the show but understand different people have different reactions to things that are overly salty. read more

Thought we would pop in for a beer and a pizza to go. We've really enjoyed eating their pizzas fresh, so I thought it would make great take-out. Not so. We ordered an Evolution salad and a half-and-half pizza - Vermont Sausage and Power to the People. The salad came out quickly, but the pizza took a surprisingly long time. We only live ten minutes away, and the pizza was not even remotely warm. Half of the crust was burned, the other half done just right. Sausage was fatty. I thought that when you order a half-and-half pizza, it would be made it at the same time on the same dough, like any other place. But they clearly pieced together different pizzas cooked at different times...and charge $2 extra. I'll come back to eat in-house and take leftovers home, but will never again order takeout from Flatbread. We'll leave take-out to Leonardo's! read more

I really liked this place, the menu caught my attention at first but when we arrived we really liked the ambiance, they have indoor seating, outdoor seating in the front and a back patio as well. We had to wait 30-40 min for outdoor seating but we were able to walk around and enjoy a nice day in the meantime, we got a text when our table was ready and we sat right away, they have a big drink menu, they also have a brewery too so it was nice to get some local Vermont beer to go with our food, we split a large pizza half plain and half buffalo, being from NY I live my pizza and have had many different kinds, this was really good, the combination of fresh cheeses and good homemade dough made for great pizza or flatbread, we also added ranch sauce on the side which was pleasantly good and was also homemade. Pizza is great and the lunch special allows for a full salad and a mini-pizza for only 10$. They have Zero Gravity brewing here - you can see them working through the window on the way to the bathroom. However, no flights :(. You can also get your brewery passport stamped here. The Evolution salad that came with my lunch special was fantastic - shaved carrots with seeds and celery with a light dressing. And the portion was pretty large! The flatbread was okay -- the toppings landed mostly in the middle with little to none around the outside. I got the special of the day which had corned beef. My family and I were visiting from NJ and ended up at American Flatbread twice for lunch. We're kind of pizza snobs, not gonna lie! - and the pizza at American Flatbread was actually some of the best we've ever eaten. This place is awesome. $10 lunch specials. Mix and match salad, soup and mini-flatbread. Both times I got the evolution salad and medicine wheel flatbread with pepperoni. I added cheese on my salad both times for just a small extra charge, but totally worth it. Hubby and Mom had the cheese and herb and pepperoni and peppers pizza. Fabulous! Delicious craft beers for just $3/$6. You can't beat this hip, fun little spot just off Church Street for a perfect lunch. We'll definitely be back if we are in Burlington in the future. read more

The kind young woman who took our order advised it would be about 20-30 minutes, so we hung around and waited. Multiple to-go orders were picked up at a separate window while we waited. One group of 4 was seated about 15 minutes after we placed our order and received their pizza 10 minutes before ours was done. In total, we waited 55 minutes for the pizza. It was flavorful and delicious and we ended up picking up on our last night making for a perfect rainy day meal. Drinks were unique and yummy! Solid pizza cooked with local ingredients. A bit pricey but not really compared to the other pizzerias. We opted for the parbake and finished them in the oven at our Airbnb. My husband and I visited Burlington, VT for the first time and so far so good until we went to this place to eat. I ask for a table for two and asks "indoor or outdoor?" I said indoor; the hostess takes her sweet time looking in her iPad and then she says "there is only one table available by the oven so it will be warm over there". Mind you, there are two tables available right next to where she is standing. So I said outdoor not to make a big deal about her no offering one of those tables. She brings us outside and brings us two glass of water in a rude way. I don't know if us being Hispanic had anything to do with her attitude and her poor service skills. We waited a couple of minutes up til finally a waitress comes to our table and we placed our order. Our food did not come out until 45 minutes after and the pizza was not hot it was lukewarm like if it was sitting for a while and I was not a fan of the pizza at all! The taste of the pizza I can get over it but the poor service, not... My husband and I notice racism when immediately we see it and in this case it was that.. Two Hispanics in a restaurant full of whites and mind you we didn't vote for Biden! read more

I had very high expectations coming into this place given the heavy praise it receives from the locals. I'm not sure why I fell into this hype considering I've had some of the best pizza in the country in New York City. I guess I was hoping a small town like Burlington could add its own zazz and make something of their own in this genre. Sadly was I disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is good. It's just not great. The crust is thin which I like but it was just sort of monotonously chew. It didn't have that combination of crisp crunch and chewy texture that you expect. I stopped by here this past Saturday night for dinner with my wife. We arrived to the restaurant at around 6 PM and were told by the hostess that it would be a 30 minute wait. After we agreed that it wasn't a problem we were given a buzzer so that we could roam around until our table was ready. What was unique about this buzzer is that it was was shaped and colored like a piece of pepperoni pizza instead of the normal coaster. Right at the 30 minute mark our buzzer went off and we were led into the restaurant to a 2 top along the back wall with a great view of the wood fired pizza oven. The inside of American Flatbread is what you would expect of a trendier restaurant with exposed ductwork, a brick wall, industrial lighting and chalkboard menus with the daily specials. For dinner on this evening my wife and I decided to start off our meal by splitting the salad of the day and then a large sausage pizza. Our salad came out first and consisted of pistachio, strawberry, goat cheese, pickled onion and a honey rosemary vinaigrette all on a bed of greens. My wife and I both loved it as the goat cheese was creamy and a little sour which paired perfectly with the super sweet strawberries. The pistachios added a little bit of saltiness and crunch to the mix while the pickled onions added acidity. Overall it was the perfect harmony of flavors and with a protein on it I could have easily been happy with it as my entree. After we had finished eating it our pizza came out. It consisted of house made nitrate free maple fennel sausage made with local fresh pork baked with sun-dried tomatoes, caramelized onions, mushrooms with cheese and herbs. Since the pizza was made in a wood fired brick oven it was of the thin crust variety and had a very specific taste that I love. Beyond that everything on top of the pizza was really good as well. The sausage came on the pizza crumbled up and had a slight sweetness to it while the mushrooms gave it some earthiness. It was good enough that by the time my wife and I were finished with it there wasn't anything left. The bottom line for is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my salad and the pizza were very good and while I didn't have any beer on this visit I would love to come back and try some. read more
