We had a fantastic lunch here while In Burlington. Our server, Shavonne went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She was kind and helpful. We ordered the lunch specials and we were not disappointed. The salads were crisp and refreshing. Our pizzas were flavorful and creative especially the carrot pizza! Very happy we checked out American Flatbread and would return in the future.

This spot felt so cozy yet it was spacious. We stopped in before heading to the airport and took advantage of their lunch special. I had a personal pizza (with Vermont maple sausage, caramelized onions, and some other yummy ingredients) with a seafood chowder, both of which were delicious. I also got a side of their homemade hot sauce which was also really good. Our server was friendly and attentive, checking in regularly and making sure our water glasses stayed full. It was also a great location to walk around a little bit before heading out. Will keep this on my list for next time we visit.

We were dropping our son off at UVM and he raved about this place. The vibe was lively and fun with cool art around the brick building. Also, it was a nice, warm room on a cold night. This restaurant lies just off of Church St., near the Flynn Theatre and City Hill park, along St. Paul St. We walked in on a Saturday evening with a little wait. Their claim is for artisanal flatbread pizza and house-made beer -- "a place to share our food"! What else is there to say beyond that? The pizza didn't last long and we soon found ourselves regretting not ordering two large pies -- they were great! We sampled several house made brews and they were also delicious and fresh. Pricing was reasonable for the beer ($5) and slightly high for the pies ($26). That said -- a good time was had and we'll be back!

Everything about this place works. The friendly service, the beer selection, the cheddar potato ale soup, the medicine wheel flatbread pizza, even the Rootin' For Spring, which despite the presence of parsnips was met with resounding cheers from my dining companions. My porter was coffee-inflected but clean. A chainlet for the ages.

We had a lovely meal at this innovative pizza restaurant. It is well appointed inside and they have stellar and authentic Italian pizza oven. Service was on point and there is a nice selection of beers to enjoy. The pizza itself was quite good and they slice it in thin rectangular slices so it's a little tricky to eat. You can also get a half half Pizza which we got. They have a red sauce traditional pie base and then they have a white sauce. I recommend getting both on the combo pie.

The New Vermont Sausage flatbread was absolutely incredible. The flavors from the sausage, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and herbs all shone through and melded so well together. I would come here again just for that pizza. The Evolution Salad was fresh and crisp. I got the lunch combo and honestly the flatbread was more than enough. The service was also fast and super friendly! And the interior was beautiful. Brick-oven and brick aesthetics everywhere.

We were in Burlington on a very snowy night. Found this place on yelp and the reviews didn't steer me wrong. It had a very cozy feel with creative choices for flatbreads We ordered the New Vermont sausage. Such a tasty combination of House maple sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, caramelized onions, cheese and mushrooms. Noel or server was quick and helpful, with local beers on tap it was the perfect stop.

The pizza was so yummy! We had three different kinds, pepperoni and peppers, new Vermont sausage and my son made up his own with jalepeno peppers. The service was great, attentive and friendly. The open fire pizza oven was impressive just to see how the pizza was cooked. It gives a great atmosphere to the place. We really enjoyed our food.

Decent pizza - hot, fresh, thin crust. I didn't wait long like others did. Local rootbeer was very strange - tasted like licorice - but that's just a preference thing.

Really creative pizzas with quality ingredients. I also loved the Evolution salad which reminded me of German salads. Service was attentive and it was very cool to watch the pizzas being made in the wood fire brick oven.

I've eating plenty of their frozen pizza but never fresh and yummmmmm. Awesome bread, large choice of toppings. Half and half option is great! Our server was very nice and efficient. Def a go for wood fired, my favorite. We chose the Dancing Heart plus jalapeno and the Revolution.

I miss "One More Time" the "Dover Forge" and even the "Andirons", but the pizza and drinks make this place a worthy successor.

Sat by the fire and had the most wonderful beer ever. Wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but still very good. Would definitely go again.

Staff was…read moreexceedingly accommodating, vibe was relaxed yet loud enough to allow a privacy bubble, and I'll definitely plan a return visit when in town. We had the Margherita, Capricciosa, Caesar salad, and the Nutella pizza and flourless cake for dessert. Kids devoured their Margherita slices and we really enjoyed the acidic, salty, roasted, crusty, chewy, fluffy, perfectly balanced notes of the artichoke, olive, tomato, and cheese Capriciossa. I know Caesar is a boring choice but sometimes the stomach wants what it wants, and this one was worth noting; I especially enjoyed the little nub of chewy pizza dough bread with it. I got it anchovy-less, because I don't love crunching on the little dudes, personally. Accessible entrance for wheels is around the back via a ramp in the alley--there's a doorbell for entry. They provided crayons and a coloring sheet for kids which always wins me over instantly, and were highly aware and educated around food allergies and their menu. 5/5 and an easy recommendation all around.

It didn't take long to identify the state's core competencies: Producing world-class cheese Perfecting brick oven pizza Aggressively curating a very specific political vibe Curiously, only two of those things are edible, and unfortunately, you can't get pizza without being reminded of the third. Also worth noting: I'm not convinced any other style of pizza exists in Vermont. If it's not artisanal, wood-fired, and served on a reclaimed barn board, it apparently doesn't make the cut. So naturally, my brain locked in and I ate pizza two nights in a row like a creature of habit. Night 1: Pizzeria Verità Parking was...aspirationally convenient. After navigating downtown Burlington, which feels like a live-action sociology thesis, I made it inside. Let's address the elephant in the room: the price. With tip, I dropped nearly $30 for what amounted to a personal-sized pepperoni pizza that politely declined to fill me up. I assume part of the cost goes toward sourcing ethically massaged tomatoes or ensuring the mozzarella had a fulfilling upbringing. Now, to be fair, the pizza was excellent. Truly. Great crust, quality ingredients, clearly crafted by someone who cares deeply about their art. But the value? That's where things get a little...Vermont. Delicious? Absolutely. Filling? Not quite. Financially efficient? Only if you measure wealth in vibes. I went in skeptical, left impressed, and still had to consider a second dinner.

As a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur, I recently found myself in Burlington for a work trip and…read moredecided to conduct what I can only describe as a two-night pizza field study. Vermont, as best I can tell, excels at three things. Producing elite-level cheese, perfecting brick oven pizza, and fully committing to a very particular political personality. Two of those things directly benefit me, so I leaned in. One immediate observation. If you are looking for anything other than wood-fired, artisanal pizza, you may want to adjust expectations. That appears to be the law of the land. Naturally, I adapted by eating pizza two nights in a row. Night 2: Folino's Pizza The next night I pivoted and ended up at Folino's, which turned out to be the value correction I needed. I ordered the MK pizza, which comes topped with caramelized onions and impressively large pepperoni slices that do not believe in subtlety. The difference was immediate. I paid less than the night before and received a pizza that was easily twice the size. This one actually acknowledged that I had not eaten since breakfast. The caramelized onions added a great balance of sweetness, the pepperoni brought both flavor and coverage, and the overall product hit that ideal intersection of quality and quantity. This pizza was not just good, it was filling. I left satisfied and with leftovers, which later doubled as an elite cold hotel breakfast. That alone puts it in a different category. The atmosphere at Folino's was laid-back, clean, and refreshingly unpretentious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I showed up earlier than I had said I would, fully expecting to be told to wait, but they immediately jumped into making my order without hesitation. The location has a slightly rough-around-the-edges feel, but that seems consistent with parts of Burlington. It adds a little unpredictability to the experience, which at this point felt on brand.
