Good drinks. GREAT service. Love the vibes. Overall would recommend. Id rate 10 out of 10

My absolute favorite bar in Burlington! They have a wider selection of arcade games (pinball, classic cabinet games, shooters) than most arcades and barcades, but that's not the only thing Archives has to offer. The bar has a sophisticated and chill ambience that gives almost a speakeasy-type vibe and the bartenders are always extremely friendly and attentive. To top it off, they have a vast selection of delicious (and fairly cheap) local beers and exceptional cocktails. My go-to is either a Hill Farmstead Edward or a Tanquerey negroni to sip on while I explore their games and feed my nostalgia. NOTE: they clear the high scores on each game every day so you may get a nice confidence boost seeing your score in the top 3.

Arcade bar in downtown Burlington with a super cool vibe. They have a long bar in the center and then arcade games all around. We just went for a drink and they have really great cocktails. I got a vodka drink and it was delicious. Super chill bar and if you like games I would make a stop!

We have gone here a couple times as they make unique delicious drinks and playing the games is fun! Most games were working which is awesome as they are old and coins to play them are fair. Our bartender Thomas was beyond amazing at making us delicious drinks, laugh and going truly above and beyond to make our friends cold brew coffee something more to her liking! People don't do that these days and it was much appreciated!

Really fun spot, with vintage games and a nice selection of beers. We got 2 delicious local ones- sip of sunshine, and one that was more of a sour beer. It's cool how they have tables in between the games for resting your drink. I think it would be cooler if they added some more games to the selection- such as a basketball one, a Simpson one (a personal favorite), or a Donkey Kong one. It's a little heavy on the pinball games (that being said, they're really cool, fun, machines- like a South Park one), and the fighter games. Who knows, maybe I'm just mad I kept losing to my boyfriend at the fighter games :/.

The bartender was pretentious and rude. I have never given a review on any platform, so this should speak for itself.

This was mainly due to the great service and delicious meals ordered by each of us in our family of three. Our table was never left waiting and the food was served hot. Our meal choices were varied, including apps such as steak tartar and cheddar ale soup for one and the meatloaf plate and the turkey burger for the others. Everything was made with original flavor additions such as homemade sauces, fresh breads, and unique use of herbs and spices. Lastly, I was told to mention that the hand cut fries were exceptional. Since we visit Burlington often, we look forward to returning to the Farmhouse to try other dishes on their menu or just ordering the same meals since they were so good. We all agreed that this restaurant has definately moved to the top of the list for our next trip to Vt.

As we were leaving, my friend told me that the bartender had called him a "Nazi" and a "racist" because of the shirt he was wearing. It was simply a black shirt that said "Happy 250 Years" with an American flag behind the text. I turned around to ask why she felt that way. Before I could even finish speaking, she immediately became confrontational. I asked how his shirt made him a racist or a Nazi, especially considering he's friends with me, a Hispanic male. Instead of having a conversation, she told me to leave, took the beer that I had already paid for, and refused to let me finish it. She then called over a bouncer and, from my perspective, falsely told him that I had said, "You don't have any colored friends." I never made that statement and immediately told the bouncer it wasn't true. The one positive part of the experience was the bouncer. He remained calm, listened to both sides, and professionally de-escalated the situation. I handed him my beer and left peacefully. It's unfortunate because the rest of our Fourth of July was great, and this was a disappointing way to end the night. I used to enjoy going to Three Needs, but after being treated this way and seeing my friend labeled with such serious accusations over a T-shirt, I won't be returning. I hope management takes the time to look into what happened that night, because no customer should be treated this way for simply asking a question or wearing a shirt celebrating the Fourth of July. After we left and were standing outside, several other customers came over to us and apologized for what had happened. They also told us that, in their experience, this bartender has a reputation for treating customers this way. Whether that's accurate is for management to determine, but based on my own experience that night, I was extremely disappointed.

It was a gorgeous day and we were able to sit outside, which I really enjoyed. They were umbrellas above us, which were much needed when it started to drizzle! I enjoyed the waiter, although my wife did not. He talked a lot and everything I asked him was his favorite. It didn't seem genuine. Especially when the table sat down next to us and everything they wanted or was his favorite too. We were disappointed that the one thing we wanted on the menu was not available for food. They're mocktails were a normal price and their cocktails were a little pricey, but well worth it for the craft that they were doing. I enjoyed both of the cocktails that I had, although was disappointed that they didn't have the monkey brains cocktail that I wanted anymore. Overall, it was a cute place and I'd probably go back to have a cocktail.

The cocktail menu is expansive with something for everyone. We went with the "I'm Eggnogstic" which was "a decadent custard with maple syrum, bourbon and rum, & whipped egg whites". We also got a hot drink called "Hot Buttered Yum" which consisted of Flor de Cana 5yr rum, brownie batter, cinnamon, butter, brown sugar, and was topped with toasted marshmallows. Both drinks were delicious, prepared well, and were aesthetically pleasing as well. I wish the Eggnogstic was a little larger - I think it was about 3 ounces? The Hot Buttered Yum was served in an oversized mug. The vibe here was great - perfect place for couples, a girls night, or just friends out for a before dinner or after dinner drink. Deep City was a recommendation for brunch from a local. It is the sister restaurant to Foam Brewers (right next door). When we walked in there was a small wait but not bad. We headed over to the brewery to grab coffee and to check it out. It is definitely a cool spot. They have a huge selection of beer, a small wine program (who knew) and small bites. Unfortunately they did not have TVs or else we would've come back to watch the football game but we did purchase some beer before heading back over for brunch at Deep City. The menu here is a little more Mexican-forward think Huevos Rancheros, but there was still plenty of items that looked appealing. We split the banana bread with maple walnut cream cheese (to die for) to share as an app which was fresh and delicious. I also ordered a fruit cup which was also good. We then shared their Huevos Verdes which is similar to Huevos Rancheros except it came with a tomatillo salsa. It was good but very sloppy to eat. Overall it was a great experience, and service was phenomenal. A great brunch place while visiting Burlington VT.
