Best Bar/Club in Burlington for dancing (if you don't crowds and mind minor hearing loss so earplugs recommended). They play all the pop/EDM music I like and always put on a great show. There's also live music earlier in the day which attracts an older crowd. A unique Red Square feature is they have 3 bars and 2 rooms of music going on at the same time so you can bounce between them if 1 is too crowded (which it does after midnight) or even head to the alley to chill. Blue Room 4 life! Staff do a good job monitoring for disorderly conduct and keeping out underage kids. read more

i came for a date night with one of my friends who is in a sorority and the whole evening i was trying to dance there was water dripping on my head. i moved to multiple different spots on the dance floor and there was still water dripping. this place is nasty and i do not recommend. read more

We had a blast here both nights we were in town. The front has live music during the evening and then late at night turns into a dance floor with a dj. The back room always has a dj and lots of dancing. The drinks are cheap and strong. The vibe is always fun. During the summer it looks like they do live bands outside as well. I do not have enough words to describe how much I love Red Square. It has been my go-to spot for a night out the whole time I've lived in Burlington, and I will miss it so much when I leave. I appreciate that multiple kinds of music play in different spaces, so you always have options, and the music is always good. By far, the best music of all the dancing bars in Burlington. The staff are so friendly, excellent, and helpful, and I also really like that they have multiple single-stall bathrooms in addition to normal stall bathrooms. The blue room is my favorite spot in the bar. I have spent more time there than I would like to admit, but it is a great space, and the vibes are so good when it gets super busy. I celebrated my graduation and my birthday at Red Square. Red Square has been there for me in times of need, but also just in times of want. Every time the weekend rolls around, I know I'll be paying Red a visit (or two or three visits). In fact, I'll be there later this evening. read more

Last night August 10th the service was horrible. There was a sign out promoting their no cover charge but they were still charging people at the door. When I brought up the sign to the people at the door they were belittling and dismissive even though the sign was directly next to their security and dj making people believe there was no cover. I still paid the cover to get in for me and my boyfriend and they still attempted to not let him in. After going in, him and his friend went up to the bar and the bartender made a joke about putting roofies in his drinks which is so beyond not funny at all. Anyways horrible experience overall with their rude, incompetent staff. read more

Went here with a group of friends last night. The drinks were ok priced and I liked that they had a non-alcoholic beer for our DD. The DJ was ok, but he should let songs finish rather than cut it off to mix songs. Lots of room for a big group, and I liked that there were multiple bar tops to order from so the lines were short. Upon my first semester in school, Red Square welcomed me to be a resident DJ at their venue - which later turned into two residencies per week. Red Square has always been there for me and helped me advance in my DJ passion and my efforts to be a professional marketer. The Red Square environment is fun and exciting! As a DJ, I always see our guests enjoying themselves and having a memorable time. There are multiple stages in the venue that DJs and live bands perform on throughout the week. I was just here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. We paid the 5$ each cover and sat inside but eventually switched to outside, which our server was fine with. We ordered 1 PBR and 1 citizen cider and our bill came out to $14.50? There wasn't a price break down on the receipt and our waitress way to busy to ask because it took 30 min for us to get our check after we asked for it. My boyfriend was also charged on his card for a tip that we did not offer. We're contacting our bank saying the charge was fraudulent. Still find it hard to believe a cider is $9.50. Sure hope this isn't normal practice to add whatever tip is convenient to customers cards. Smells like a lawsuit. Do not recommend going here. read more

Upon leaving my massage a month ago, I followed the sound of blues music right into Red Square. What a find. Not only is the vibe chill and relaxed, but Eric the bartender gets mad props for making probably the BEST Manhattan I've ever had. When I told him this yesterday, he explained why his is different than most (stirred, not shaken), and I noted to him that he uses the perfect ratio of liquors. I recently am doing a trip around Vermont, and I thought that the bar would be a good place to finally get some good water. However, this is not how my story goes. They served the water in plastic cups, which was already a bad sign, and when I took a sip, it was my greatest enemy: a water that is warm no matter how much ice you put in it. The first time I went here my server was excellent... I forget his name (I'm terrible survive names). I returned Saturday (a busy night usually, I get it), but it's Covid and it was early... there was a cover charge which I was going to pay on my card.. they only accept cash.. which I didn't have. they had me go to their atm (only accepted debit-i only carry credit), so I was told to wait for a manager. I was standing in line, one one else around me.. the place wasn't busy whatsoever, they could have at least seated me and got me going. No, I stood there. And waited.. eventually I just left. I can see how this place gets totally packed and overwhelming on a Friday or Saturday night. However, I loooooved coming here on a Sunday night for some beers and to listen to some great music. It wasnt too crowded, but there was a decent crew of people. The DJ was Twosev and he had such an eclectic mix of music that really kept me moving! I had been going to red square for about half of a year now. Yes, the drinks are over priced, yes it is ridiculously packed at times. Aside from this, the workers are mildly nice and it's a great place to go and dance with your friends if that's all you want. But I know several people, including myself who've had a real license/ ID be taken away there which is ridiculous. They seem to let in just about any attractive female regardless of I.D., but if you go without any makeup or dressed up outfit they're more likely to question you. I've also had friends kicked out for basically no reason other than the male bouncers being sensitive and seeming to have a power struggle dynamic. You're also very likely to get your jacket stolen. But for the only club-like atmosphere in Burlington, I'm not surprised. read more
