This place was at the top of my list for my first visit to Burlington. We visited in the late afternoon on a Sunday. It was a gorgeous day and we were able to sit outside, which I really enjoyed. They were umbrellas above us, which were much needed when it started to drizzle! I enjoyed the waiter, although my wife did not. He talked a lot and everything I asked him was his favorite. It didn't seem genuine. Especially when the table sat down next to us and everything they wanted or was his favorite too. We were disappointed that the one thing we wanted on the menu was not available for food. They're mocktails were a normal price and their cocktails were a little pricey, but well worth it for the craft that they were doing. I enjoyed both of the cocktails that I had, although was disappointed that they didn't have the monkey brains cocktail that I wanted anymore. Beautiful cocktail bar within walking distance of Church Street. Stopped in on Sunday night and our party of three was seated immediately. The cocktail menu is expansive with something for everyone. We went with the "I'm Eggnogstic" which was "a decadent custard with maple syrum, bourbon and rum, & whipped egg whites". We also got a hot drink called "Hot Buttered Yum" which consisted of Flor de Cana 5yr rum, brownie batter, cinnamon, butter, brown sugar, and was topped with toasted marshmallows. Both drinks were delicious, prepared well, and were aesthetically pleasing as well. I wish the Eggnogstic was a little larger - I think it was about 3 ounces? The Hot Buttered Yum was served in an oversized mug. The vibe here was great - perfect place for couples, a girls night, or just friends out for a before dinner or after dinner drink. Earlier this month we spent the weekend in Burlington and this was recommended by a friend. The space is so cool and used to house a coffee shop. The drink menu has a ton of options and you could tell the bartenders really poured there heart into the drinks. This cocktail place had such a cool vibe. The bartender knows his stuff and the staff were so friendly. These are definitely craft cocktails, the bartender takes his time for these creations. All of the flavors are unique. I got the Bikini Atoll, which was a rum based drink. My husband got the chilled monkey brains! If you're a fan of Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom, get that! I ordered a Sexting on the Beach (vodka, oak-infused peach liqeur, sour orange, cranberry cordial), and heard the I Like it When You Call Me Big Poppy was akin to limoncello. Each cocktail has a brief description explaining the flavor in a fun and irreverent way. They have a variety of light bites, including fries, olives, deviled eggs, and bread and butter, but I opted for the tinned fish (smoked trout), that came with banana peppers, lemon wedges, mustard seed, sourdough toasted in olve oil, red pepper flakes, and flaky sea salt. Ordered a second drink at 10:13 and the bartender told me it was last call on cocktails so I could only beer and wine after. I watched 6 people come in at 10:20pm to 10:30 come in thinking they were open to be told they were closed. Lox croquettes were mid. Not sure why they closed early when people were walking in. Was at The 126 before and it was packed. Went to Wallflower Collective and it was packed too. Hope the owner knows the bar is costing them business.... read more

Came in here for a quick drink while shopping in downtown Burlington and before dinner the other night. The ambiance is great and offers a very unique vibe but if you're someone who doesn't appreciate dark restaurants this may not be the place for you. The menu is very extensive as far as drinks go and they offer so many different crazy concoctions. To be honest when I came in I wasn't feeling anything out of the ordinary and just got an old fashioned. The drink was okay but also nothing to write home about. This place has an interesting, eccentric cocktail menu. I had the Lana Cel Rey which featured celery juice and black pepper. It was fresh, light, citrusy, not too sweet. We wished we could have enjoyed this place more but it was at max occupancy when we first stopped by at ~10:45 and we were told to come back later when it dies down around 11:30 & that they would be open til 1am. When we returned at 12:00, we were told they just made the last call since they weren't busy.. they made us 1 round and then we left.
