I've gone to…read moreDr. Schneider for years and he's been nothing but professional, kind and helpful in resolving any eye issues as well as getting me set up with accurate prescriptions for glasses and contacts. He is also incredibly accommodating as one year I came in for a very last minute eye exam to squeeze it in before my flex spending window closed and he worked me into his very busy schedule. On another occasion I was having an issue with redness in my eye that was bothersome and he came in early before his appointments started to look at my eye and get me relief. Find me other doctors willing to do this for their patients? Good luck! Dr Schneider is personable--always asks how we're doing and shows empathy as I get used to my aging eyes and slight prescription changes--celebrating every year where I didn't have to get into a bifocal, despite knowing the day would eventually come. Haha! I highly recommend Dr Schneider as I enjoy doing business with good, professional people.

I went to this establishment for new glasses. I took with me, a pair of readers I bought and loved…read morethe frames on and wanted to have them fitted with my new lenses. I was told it was not a possibility. Picked out frames and had an order ready to go which was gonna cost me somewhere around 400.00 WITH insurance coverage! Next day I call and tell them I cannot do it and they are too expensive, so they say, they will stop the order and when I can to come in and we will draw up an order for a more affordable deal. In the meanwhile, I contact two different optical places that tell me without a doubt, that they can indeed fit the frames I want with the lenses I need. So, I call this establishment back and tell them that I have found someone who can do the job on the frames I want and I want my initial (half payment) outlay of money back. They said no, their policy is no refunds. I have had my insurance people speak with them, corporate from Vision Source speak with them and they are not budging. They both said how badly they felt and feel she is being unreasonable. I filed a complaint with the BBB and still waiting to hear anything on that. This has been going on since Sept 29 and now it is Nov 16! I just want my money back and I don't want the glasses that they said they would NOT order, they KNEW I did not want them. I am ready to call channel 8 news to give them my story. Oh and I did not mention the fact that when I was seated having my eye exam, Dr. Hernandez pulled out her script pad and wrote me a script for eye drops for my "allergy eyes" as she called them without even asking me how my eyes felt. She said be sure and see me back in two weeks. Of course, so she can get even more money from my case as then she would be getting paid by my BCBS for the follow-up. I didn't get the script filled as I did not need the steroid she said I needed. She sells jewelry in her waiting area, leftover from a business she was previously in. She is all about MONEY and getting as much as she can even if it is mistreating the people that walk in her door. There is a five star rating up above, she gets NO STAR as far as I am concerned.

Her backup glasses were old and the fitting was off, so we needed help. They were able to adjust the fit of my daughter backup pair and they were able to partially fix her other pair and show me that there was a more serious problem that will need to be address when we get back home. I appreciated the friendliness of all the staff, their willingness to help us, and they didn't charge us anything which was very generous. It seems like a great place!

My first thought was to keep my services at the Frisco location, but my husband and I decided to try Rockwall EYECARE. That was a big mistake. These folks are terrible. They overcharge you and try to make u pay for the extras ur insurance company covers. They tried to charge me $240 for two boxes of contacts and $368 for four boxes... when I have a $350 allowance towards contacts. I have all extra tests covered and my eye exam at 100%. I returned the unopened boxes of contacts. I took my prescription and went back to my old EYECARE location in Frisco. I paid $110 for four boxes of contacts and also received a contact lens vendor rebate. When you try to tell them you have had the same benefits for years and never paid that much, they get rude and show lack of customer service. They even tried to overcharge my husband for his contacts and also told him that the extra services were not covered... and we have the exact same insurance. The doctor was amazing. However, the front desk was not knowledgeable and rude. The management was even worse. I totally recommend shopping around... they are definitely overcharging customers. If I could give the 0 Stars, I would!

My mom happened upon this optometrist because she recently joined Costco. I usually frequent…read moreVisionWorks but since I do not have vision insurance I have been on a comparison shopping hunt. All in all, Field Eye Care provided the most competitive rate and my mom had a positive experience so I made an appointment. The office is to the right of the main entrance of Cost Co. The check-in appointment went pretty smooth. I did like that they used laminated sign in sheets and forms. I am a recycler for life so I definitely appreciated the elimination of excess paper usage. It was pretty much routine in terms of the pre-exam measurements and then seeing the doctor. I was scheduled with Dr. Ashley Huff. So one, I got into the exam room this is when things really changed for me. I was so impressed at the quality of care I received. In terms of the number of years, I have been wearing eye glasses and corrective lenses more than I have not so I feel like I know what to expect. The level up happened when we began the fitting and Dr. Huff asked me about how often I wear my contacts. I told her that I do not wear them as much as I used to when I played competitive sports and in fact, I had not worn them the entire month. She asked if I sleep in them. I said no. She was puzzled because my eyes had signs of not getting enough oxygen so more blood vessels turn up to balance the problem. In the end, she asked me if at the end of my day when I take my contacts off, do they feel like suction cups. I immediately lit up and said yes! Turns out that my lenses were a bit tight on my eyes so the BC (base curve) of the lenses I was used to wearing were too small. I ended up going with one that was much more comfortable at a 9.0 BC. Who know? I never even knew what BC meant. I was kind of upset at my former optometrists for a second thinking how could they not see that. The blood vessels in my eyes are her to stay so there is nothing that can be done retroactively. But at least, I found a doctor that caught it. I always talked to my doctors about my dryness and eye irritation. And although they have helped with recommending a lens that allows more oxygen, recommended hydrogen peroxide disinfecting solution for a cleaner lens and eye drops, I believe this BC will make all the difference. As recommended by Dr. Huff, I wore my trials all day and when I went to remove them before bed, they were not like suction cups. Mission accomplished. I am so stoked to try these. Additionally, we decided to go with a daily lens since I do not wear them every day and it would be lighter on my eyes and more convenient. This office also utilizes an online portal which allows me to easily retrieve my contact lens or eye glass prescriptions any time. This is a great feature. I would definitely recommend Field Eye Care and I loved Dr. Huff, she's what eye care should be. Very professional. Very thorough. I felt like I mattered. Thanks!!!

Review of Wylie Eye Center…read more I have been a loyal patient at Wylie Eye Center for the past 8-10 years, returning every couple of years for an eye exam, new frames, and the same type of lenses I've used for years. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has been deeply disappointing and unlike anything I've experienced with them before. This time, a mistake was made -- the wrong type of lenses were ordered. I realized the issue immediately upon receiving them and even called from the airport the same day to report the problem. It was clear upon review that they had ordered the wrong lenses. I requested the correct comprehensive lenses to be ordered, expecting the matter to be handled promptly. Two weeks and many follow-up calls later, I was finally told my lenses had arrived. When I went to drop off my frames with the incorrect lenses, I explained the situation to a young staff member, who said she would look into it. The next day, when I returned to pick them up, I was shocked to be told I needed to pay for the new lenses -- essentially paying for two sets, one of which I will never use. What's worse is the complete lack of communication and care throughout the process. No notes were taken, no follow-up calls were made, and the staff I spoke to the previous day didn't even remember me. When I asked to speak with the office manager, I was told she was busy but would call me before the end of the day. That call never came. After over a decade of trusting Wylie Eye Center, this experience has left me saddened and frustrated. The quality of service and care I once valued here seems to have disappeared entirely.
