I am so impressed with the quality of customer service that I can't see going any place else. We only went there because my husband was looking for a very specific brand and Pearle carried them. I didn't care if we went to a personal eye Care place or Wal-mart but I'm so glad my husband wanted a specific brand because It introduced us to Amy, who was so incredibly knowledgeable and knew everything about how my insurance worked and how to get the most out of my plan and where I barely paid out of pocket. I was so impressed that I asked to go get in next door with the optometrist WITHOUT an appointment ( which I'll do a review of her and her office next because they're also amazing) to see if I could get an exam because I now wanted to use Pearle that day with my family. Luckily, the optometrist had a customer running late and squeezed my in. I've had glasses since I was eight and have many experiences with getting glasses and this has been my favorite. So a month later my daughter wanted to get glasses and was going to go to America's Best because they advertise a really great special that you can't turn down. I get a call a frantic call from my daughter who is learning how to schedule and go to her appointment's alone and they said she only had an allowance of 70.00 when I was able to buy an almost 300.00 pair of Kate Spade glasses with only a few dollars that I had to pay out of pocket. I believe it was less than ten bucks. So, I told my daughter to go to Pearle in Rockwall, just down the street and speak to Amy. Amy, talked to me on the phone and explained that America's Best will say that "yes" your insurance is covered but won't tell you that you're "out of network". This makes a huge difference. My daughter ended up with a pair of "Ray Ban" glasses and paid nothing out of pocket for the glasses and only a little for the extra options for the lenses. I got "Kate Spade", my son and husband both got "Oakley" and my daughter got "Ray Ban" all brand names. I called Amy again..... And I wanted to speak to her manager so that I could tell them how impressed I was and she said she was the manager. So I needed to let people out there know how impressed with the service I am. I could careless about the name brands I care more about the quality of customer service I get because that's where I'll take my business in the future. Luckily, I have amazing insurance but even better Amy knew how to maximize our benefits. Just with the example of my daughter is proof why I'll always go back. She would have had to pay out of pocket for a pair of cheapy frames and wouldn't have gotten the bang for MY buck I spend in vision coverage. We love this location so much. My son has autism and the women in the eyewear department were so supportive, understanding, and patient. We came in 30 min before closing and they patiently waited as he tried on different pairs to find the right one. The pair of Oakley's we bought a few weeks ago rubbed his ear raw. Stopped in due to an issue with one of the lenses in my glasses. Obviously a defect in the lens. Not only were the two staff members present unable to commit to resolving the issue (I have to come back tomorrow), but they mentioned that even if the Manager says something can be done, they have to take my glasses for 14 days. Since I wear them every day & don't wear contacts, that's obviously a problem. When I asked if they could just order the lens so I could keep my glasses, they promptly said no. They can't order a lens. They have to send the glasses away. Dumbest thing I have ever heard. Needless to say, Visionworks has lost my business. read more

My teenage daughter needed new glasses. She usually wears contacts and her glasses were broken. She only had them 6mth when she broke them. I finally get around to go in to Pearle in Rockwall after a year. Kim helped me. She listened to the situation - my daughter only wears these at night, she breaks them fairly easily, I need to figure out what it's going to cost. Kim first told me how much a whole new set would be. Then she gave me less expensive options. As many as she could research and come up with. She even called me at home the next day with another excellent option! She went WAY out of her way to figure out how to get a pair of glasses for my teenager that ended up not costing me anything out of pocket!!!! I felt very blessed! You don't see that kind of service from people anymore. People willing to work that hard to find the best solution for your situation. So I came back the next day and had her work on my glasses- same situation- broken, rarely use. And she did the same thing! We didn't realize how bad it was until we went for our yearly at Lenscrafters this weekend. Last year I had gone to Pearle Vision in Rockwall as I needed glasses for reading the computer (I'm neither near nor farsighted but my eyes get tired after 8 hrs of working non stop on the computer), I was told my eyes were fine and they could give me something for work . My husband was given bifocals. We find out Saturday that my glasses WERE NOT for the computer but rather for near sighted-ness (I didn't wear them to see far away and have had no problems with that), and found out that the lines in my husbands bifocals were cracked and jagged- he has never dropped them or mishandled them. We wasted nearly a thousand dollars on splurging for nice frames last year and now we know why my husband had difficulty seeing with his and why my eyes were more tired with the glasses than without. I know eyes change every year but this was not our case. read more

I'm writing this to inform potential buyers about Pearle Vision's poor customer service policies. I purchased a pair of glasses from them in June, for $350 (after insurance), which is no small chunk of change. Unfortunately despite probably 8 separate visits to have the glasses adjusted, they are extremely painful. After a few hours of wear the temple arms cause a splitting headache that lasts into the next day. Apparently the temple arms are just too short for my head. I wish the person selling me the glasses would have informed me that these new pair were a lot smaller than my old pair (which I was wearing during the time). Most people aren't automatically aware of the measurements/numbers printed inside their glasses, and they just try them on in the store to see if they fit. Well, these felt fine in the store. It's impossible to know if they will be comfortable long term until you wear them for hours. However I feel like if I would have been made aware of the difference in temple arm lengths, I would maybe have reconsidered buying them. Unfortunately when I informed Pearle Vision of this, they nicely told me that there were no refunds only exchanges. The problem with this is that the selection isn't very big, so any frames I liked were all too small (literally the smallest size that frames come in). I shouldn't have to choose a pair of unflattering frames that I don't like or be stuck with useless glasses. Now I'm just out $350 and I still have to buy glasses elsewhere. I'm looking at online retailers of glasses now and am bitterly regretting purchasing from Pearle Vision, because I see the online merchants prices are extremely low and they also have a money back guarantee. This whole situation is ironic, because I was originally considering whether I should try to save some money and order my glasses online; but then I thought, "Nah, it's better to buy from an actual storefront because they will care more about customer service if something goes wrong". This is such a shame, because I really liked Pearle Vision before this, and the employees are nice people. However at the end of the day they don't really care that I have a pair of glasses that I hate. So if you decide to purchase from them, educate yourself first. The onus is on you to pick the perfect pair of glasses, and if you don't then you won't get a refund. read more
