Do not go here. I went at the end of October... paid $900 for 2 pair of glasses. It took 3 weeks to get the glasses. The prescription was wrong... I couldn't see a thing. Maybe they mixed me up with someone else?? No problem, let's give it another shot. First the Dr told me that it must be my blood sugar... I should get my bloodwork done. Crazy... I had it done 3 days ago and all is fine. Also, I can see out of my old glasses. Went to pick my glasses up again today (they never called to say they were ready) and guess what?! Wrong prescription AGAIN. I won't be going back. What a waste of money. read more

Not sure what's happening with this facility, but the customer service is absolutely horrible!!! They won't answer the phones as the poor receptionist is alone and obviously stressed out??? Also, after waiting two weeks for an appointment, I walked in and canceled at the last minute as the doctor wasn't available; not even a courtesy phone call to notify me of the cancellation!!! First time coming here and they were GREAT!! Very friendly, got me in within a day notice, and they made me feel very comfortable. When getting my eye exam he answered all my questions, was very precise, and good at his job. Will be coming back next year for my next eye exam. Thank you for the great service! My family is in Texas for a month while my husband has a contract job, and of course my daughters glasses broke soon after we arrived. Her backup glasses were old and the fitting was off, so we needed help. I called around several places and no one would help us since we didn't buy the glasses there (which I understood the liability). RPE told me they would take a look and so we went in. They were able to adjust the fit of my daughter backup pair and they were able to partially fix her other pair and show me that there was a more serious problem that will need to be address when we get back home. I appreciated the friendliness of all the staff, their willingness to help us, and they didn't charge us anything which was very generous. It seems like a great place! read more

I hope this review helps other people not go through what I went through this week. I had called over three weeks ago to schedule my appointment and I mentioned I have united all savers insurance. I was informed they accepted it so I made the appointment and waited three weeks for this appointment and in the meantime canceled other appointments I had made where I had to pay out of pocket. The day before my appointment they called me saying they didn't have my insurance and they needed to run it. I was disappointed that this had are not already been done. So I find out less than 24 hours before my appointment that I am not approved after all. My husband would've had to of added vision to the insurance which I was not aware of. (We are newly married so I am still learning about our insurance coverage) So I waited three weeks when I could've just gone to a nearby Target a long time ago and paid out of pocket. I also live in Wylie and was driving all the way to Rockwall because I thought they accepted my insurance. It's an unfortunate series of events and the office staff did apologize which I do appreciate but when you're my age and you need your glasses and we've already missed a year because of Covid it's really hard to postpone your eye appointment and then not get treated or seen. So the moral of the story is if you call and they tell you they accept your insurance make sure you ask them to run it right then and don't wait because they will really not run it until the day before your appointment! read more

We had our first visit today at Rockwall precision eyecare and although the wait time past our appointment time, (was a little long, 45 minutes ), it was well worth the wait! I absolutely loved Dr. Brent D. Schmidlap ! He was very thorough, he took time to talk to my son who is the patient at the time to hear out what was going on with his eye and then he turned to me to explain everything that he was going to do antimer son as well! I found him to be very genuine excellent bedside manners! I assume this may explain the longer wait time past our scheduled appointment. Apparently, he cares about his patients and for me, the wait time was well worth it! I found his staff to be friendly and apologetic for the longer wait time. However I would definitely recommend Rockwall Precision Eyecare to any families who needs a real optometrist to take the time to hear you out, listen to your concerns snd explain every procedure he will be doing, the medication. how to apply it and to explain the outcome and things of that nature. I would definitely highly recommend! As for our family, we will be loyal patients going forward! read more

The doctor was amazing! Staff that helped me pick out frames were great as well..... but the issue I have is when after I picked up my glasses (about 700.00 later); I decided I wanted to change the frames. I asked if I could and it was a hard NO!! Nothing they can do... too bad soooo sad... your stuck with them. I will tell everyone I know about this and hopefully whoever is reading this will also know that wants they have your money... your screwed. read more

Staff is super friendly and super helpful. Every person I came in contact with from start to finish was professional and knowledgeable. The doctor was fantastic and very thorough. He was patient with my complex vision issues and was diligent to solve my problems. I went to several different optical retailers, big and small, looking for frames I loved and could find none! This placed had at least 10 frames that I loved. They don't have a huge selection, but it is big enough and their selection is still better than anyone else's. Quality over quantity. After 2 visits and 4 pairs of contacts I still don't have contacts that let me see well out of my left eye. When I picked up my wife's contact prescription I didn't realize there was no brand of contacts listed! (didn't figure I'd have to check.) So I had to go back and pick up another. Then I called to arrange to pickup my prescription and was told it would be ready that afternoon. So I went the next day to pick it up and, of course, it wasn't ready, so I had to wait for that. (Good thing I called the day before.) Then when I went to fill my contact prescription, it had the wrong diameter listed! Then I went to buy glasses and there was no pupilary distance listed on THAT prescription. 3 out of 3 prescriptions were either incomplete or imprecise. Precision is in their name!! Thank goodness the prescriptions from my medical Dr. are more accurate than these. And when I asked the woman who handed me my contacts prescription, "My contact prescription is different than my eyeglasses prescription?", I was told, "Yup!" Not a very professional place. read more
