    Empty hot food trays.

It's a nice store, clean but a lot of empty spaces on shelves. Plenty of parking. I fear this place won't last long, I may be wrong, but shelves are not stocked well. Time will tell.

    Yogurt? Who needs it.

After some weirdness when they first opened with cameras everywhere, this Amazon Fresh (which is very convenient in location) was a great place to get good prices on staples. They had excellent yogurt at an unbeatable price, good prices on milk, some nice bakery goods, and decent produce, if not a great breadth of selection. Alas, while the people who work there are still friendly, pro-active, and effective, the stocking has gotten worse and worse. Items I liked - say, non-organic whole beets - vanished. The overall quality of the produce is mediocre, and sometimes outright bad. And those nicely priced staples? Well, today they had NO milk (except expensive organic or lactose free), and I barely snagged the single last container of Amazon plain yogurt, though I wanted 3 or so. The package salad area was also pretty bare.

Amazing place! So many fresh choices and lots of self check out counters and a cashier. The prices are great and they literally have everything. There's also a Krispy Kreme inside that has the best donuts in the Country. I was able to drop off a return package to Amazon in addition. Clean bathrooms was a bonus as well as lots of parking.

Wow! I didn't know there was an Amazon Fresh Grocery Store in E. Pasadena! It took over the old OSH Hardware store on Colorado Blvd. Lots of parking, a handful of EV charging spaces, and Family Parking space for families with small children. There were some carts with electronic pad where the baby seat is. I guess it's to help you find items on your grocery list, there are QR codes on the ceilings so maybe it makes it easier to find items/restock? Krispy Kreme has a mini store inside & has a good selection. I went close to closing but they had 2 dedicated employees working behind the counter. I like how they have a wooden fruit stand in front of the produce section for kids to grab a free fruit to munch on while their parents shop. How clever! Amazon Fresh has really good prices on most items. Some are exactly the same as other grocery stores. But their 2 lb. container of fresh cut pineapple was only $7.99 compared to Vons that sells 1 lb container for about $9.99. They mark down produce, meat, fish, etc. that are a day or 2 before the best by date so if you're planning to cook that item that day, it's a bargain! They have a small floral section, nothing fancy. They have a Small Bouquet of flowers for $4.99 and the Large Bouquet for $9.99. With prices like these, I don't have to feel guilty for buying flowers to decorate my dining table for a nice dinner for friends. They had a Hot Food Bar, Cold Food Bar, Pizza Bar where you can serve yourself a slice or two from the 4 or 5 cooked pizzas on the counter. I bought the 16" Take &Bake Pepperoni Pizza $9.99 (thin crust). It was good but I over-baked it, so the crust was really like cardboard. My bad! The Amazon Fresh brand Chicken Noodle Soup was chock full of veggies & chicken! I usually get the Signature Brand from Vons that only has a little bits of chicken. This one was better tasting & more nutritious. I found some great snacks/lunch items like Amazon Fresh brand chocolate hummus w/pretzels to pack for lunch. They also had some good cookies! This location isn't that close to me but I'm going to make it a monthly destination to go get groceries, when I don't need to go to the big warehouse store!! I really like their vast selection & how organized everything is. I HIGHLY recommend going to Amazon Fresh store, you won't regret it! P.S. If you return your purchase from Amazon.com, they'll give you a coupon to use to buy groceries to be used that day.

I've been to this Amazon Fresh location a few times now and it's my favorite one! They have a huge parking lot and are almost never busy, which is a big plus for me. It's a big location, very clean, good deals, friendly staff - what more could a girl want!? Plus, because of the Amazon tie in, you can return items here, too which is a big plus. Sometimes when you return things, they give a coupon for your order like $2 off. It applies I love the carts! You just scan as you go, and can remove things as you see, as well. It took me a minute to get the hang of it but after my first trip, it was smooth sailing. They have staff right at the front door in case you need any help though. The only issue I have had is twice my cart didn't check out properly. I have now learned that you need to actually stop for a minute for the checkout to process. They made it seem like you walk right through at checkout, but this last trip they explained there is a camera above catching things. Apparently it doesn't always trigger, so linger in the checkout until you confirm you've paid! I bend the knee to thy great Bezos who makes my life oh~so~convenient. I'll be back.

Do they have a selection of organic produce and vegetables here?

    Yes

Do you charge customer for the paper bag at checkout?

No they do not. I shopped there twice already and they haven't charged me for both times that I asked, or at least not yet. I chose the 'traditional' shopping route.

The name "King" is a homage to honor their father, who was known to be the king of fruit. Super King Market is best known for their produce, excellent quality and very affordable prices. The market itself is very international in which you can find Middle Eastern items, Hispanic items and also Asian grocery items as well. I really love Super King and so does my husband. After my husband had discovered the location in Claremont (I actually had shopped there before he did, many years ago), he just has this desire to visit the other locations. We have already visited the one in Glendale, which is my least favorite of the 3 that we have gone to so far. This location is cleaner and does seem to be bigger (but I prefer the set up and layout of the location in Claremont. The parking is way better than the other 2 locations that we have visited). Anyways, we came by this store on a Saturday and it was definitely busy. But not so busy that it felt crowded (but can't say that will be the same for you if you come on a weekend). The first selection I love to visit is their produce section. There is such a vast variety of different, good quality, vegetables and fruits. And what makes this section even better is the fact that the produce is so cheaply priced. A market like this really encourages you to choose healthier choices of fruits and vegetables (and also whole grains. The dried grains, rice + beans section is also very cheap, as compared to the typical American market like Von's, Ralph's, etc). I also love all the different types of breads that you can find on the other side of the store. The prices for whole wheat pita bread is very cheap too (and also the regular pita bread for those who don't appreciate whole grain foods and don't get enough fiber in their diet). Be aware that a lot of their fresh breads have a short shelf life so make sure you finish your bread before they go bad and have mold :( Customer service at the register was just whatever, but I don't come to this market expecting it to be stellar, so that doesn't bother me. The prices are great here, the selection of food items (in many different departments, not just the produce) is excellent and would come back to this location more often if I lived in the area.

But the elderly can't do that so it's why the lines are so long. Now here is the kicker. At the end of the checking line is a manager ...sometimes 2. A man and a woman. They are observing the long lines...counting something...just observing. It would help if THEY just go to the end of a long line and start bagging! See, that would be cool! You see you guys have not scheduled any baggers and the lines are so long they are down the aisles .. and you are just standing there? Of course they may say, well that's not my job. But that's the mentality that keeps things moving slow. It would be so nice if people just did what it takes to keep things moving. Either hire enough people OR get in there and start bagging! I remember back in the days there was a bagger at the end of each checkout aisle. A bagger and a casher! Those days are gone ...and most stores now see if they can get away with overworking the checker! Next thing you know they install self check outs! Rather than hire people and keep a system of people working they just get rid of people and have 1 person observing (like these managers were doing). What a world we are moving towards. But anyways that's what you see. I wish they would just hire bag boys and go back to the good ol days.
