This store is across the street from the gym, so I often stop by when I need something. It's located on the upper level of an outdoor mall and there is plenty of parking in the multi-level structure. It's also spacious which makes it easy to navigate between the aisles. They have a nice selection of fresh flowers and a great assortment of greeting cards. You can always count on trader Joe's for great service great products and great prices. I was pleased when I was doing my shopping for the holidays that I was able to find some items that I hadn't seen before. I tried the spatchcock turkey and it was incredible. Great flavor great spices and it was easy to do when you follow all the instructions. Crew members were helpful in finding side dishes that would work well with my turkey. The parking situation is always interesting. I definitely try to go shopping early to this location it is sometimes hard to maneuver in the parking structure. I like to park on the street if I can. Trader Joe's is definitely worth the trip. read more

There's a lot of parking at this location as it's located on top of a parking structure. Even on a lower floor, it's still easy to get into this market. I never have trouble finding parking here. The selection of foods and snacks is great. I always want to try the new things here. Their charcuterie selection with the cheeses and salamis is wonderful. The flowers are seasonal and always bright and beautiful. And the staff are friendly, and they'll always help you find something, offer samples, or talk to you at the register. I was talking to a cashier when she noticed I got the hash browns (great deal btw - 10 for $2.50??!). And we talked about how these taste exactly like the ones at MCD's. And she said I should grab the griddle pancakes and I could make a brekkie sandwich just like MCD's!!! read more

This Trader Joe's is never too crowded. There's always a cashier open so check-out is quick. Everyone is super friendly and will answer any questions you have about a missing product. The parking garage can get a bit messy but otherwise grocery shopping here is quick and efficient. read more

I love shopping at Trader Joe's on South Lake. They always have such a wonderful verity of produce. They never run out of anything I need and I must say the staff is astoundingly, courteous, attentive, and polite, and I have to give a big shout out to you the manager of the store for being graciously kind to me When I needed help with my groceries when I didn't have enough money he took care of the bill.... I like this location altho it's a bit inconvenient to get to. Most locations are on the ground level and easy to spot from the street but this location is on the top floor of (I think only two floors) a small shopping complex. It's easy to miss if you're not familiar with it and parking may also be a bit challenging as you have to park at the structure and go over those atrocious speed bumps (i know, they're just doing what they're meant to do) and somehow get to the top-ish level in order to enter the store. With that out of the way, shopping here isn't so bad as there seems to be a bit more space that most locations. As always, the employees are approachable and outgoing. Customer base is a random mix. Luckily, we have 4 TJs locations in our immediate area and this one would be near the top of that list! read more

Sheeesh this is possibly the most friendliest grocery store I've ever entered - almost like paradise too since it's on the third floor of a building complex. Ever feel like shopping in the clouds with excellent customer service? Well, look no further because this is it! I visited this Trader Joe's on a weekend night, and it was still quite bustling. The staff were restocking shelves, and everything was neat and orderly even when no staff member was present. The staff were also very bubbly and outgoing amongst one another, which isn't something I've seen at many grocery stores. A+ for positive work environment! The produce and groceries were all high quality, and I have to admit I didn't see any misplaced items, which is a rare sight. I was also able to obtain a box since I forgot my reusable bag. I'm excited to make regular trips to this location now that I've discovered it. read more

I was in Pasadena and wanted to see what this Trader Joe's location had in stock. Since the store is located in a shopping center so it can be confusing to get in because the entrance is at the top of the parking garage. Once I went inside I was so confused by the layout of the store. The cereals were too the right of the pastries. I was completely thrown off. They didn't have their seasonal items in stock, but 1) I either missed it or 2) they never received it. read more

This is my favorite Trader Joe's in old town. It's not the closest one to me but I like it better than the original one on Arroyo because I can guarantee parking 100% of the time, and that is verrrry important to me 100% of the time when I go grocery shopping lol. It's located in a shopping plaza with massage envy with an attached parking structure. If you drive all the way to the top level and park rooftop, you can easily walk to the entrance without using an elevator. They're doing such an amazing job with all the necessary COVID precautions. The line here moves very quickly; there are tents outside for heat or rain and the TJ employees spray you with hand sanitizer before going in which is such a nice touch. If you prefer to pack your items yourself with your reusable bag, they set up a table outside so you can do it safely. Shout out to this Trader Joe's and their friendly employees! read more

Ashley the associate was awesome! Super friendly and very quick at the register. She was also helpful in helping me decide between mints since I wanted a less toothpaste and more sweet taste. The store is always busy but restock shelves just as quickly as items go flying off. TJs reusable bags are awesome and the insulated zipped tote is great for running across town or if you're hitting several stores in a row. read more

Out of the many Trader Joe's in the area. This one is probably my favorite. It's spacious and product is always fresh. The best part of Trader Joe's is their unique store brand product! The latest greatest this season is the cookies and cream granola put in my yogurt and the always there garlic spread that I dip my veggies in to keep me away from snacking on potato chips all day. It's located on the top floor of the parking garage, standard Trader Joe's arrangement, small yet convenient with variety of categories, friendly staff but very careless, out of all items I bought, two bottles of milk was charged as three, I'm glad found it out sooner and better than later at home, they apologized for the mistake and returned the extra charge to card, though it would take a few days to see the refund posted. read more

I have shopped a number of TJ's all across these great United States: Austin, Omaha, NYC, Arkansas, Florida, Arizona and all over California. But i have never been to this relatively new unit in the old Bullock's shopping area on Lake in Pasadena. I used to come here with the Moms for school clothes shopping and then across the street to the Hamburger Hamlet for Burgers, Fries and French fried zucchinis with Apricot sauce (Zucchini Zircles). As a side note: i heard a TV results of a retail survey of food shop pricing in the greater LA area which placed Tj's on the top pf the survey. Yet, i knew this study was slanted towards big box joints as in Vons, Albertsons and Ralphs which run big sales on a weekly basis and which do not have the quality and interesting selection of items that all Tj's everywhere carry. A case of comparing Apples to Potatoes. So i ingested and spewed out that info. C'est la vie, C'est la guerre as the French say. So this unit oddly enough is on the 3rd floor so you must take an elevator up to it which is a first for a tj's that i know of though a local Whole Foods has the same kind of access. This store is merchandised and is abut the same size as that of that unit in Santa Barbara on Milpas: in other words big. The service today at about 930 am was attentive and informational as i was looking for a red wine that i could chill a bit and not ruin the basic positive qualities of. A Trader Joe's brand reserve (see attached photo) was suggested and proved to be a winner for my "please Hot Weather Gods have mercy on we who are drinking this wine and who beg you for some relief" luncheon. This Pinot is on the light side for a red as in lighter, brighter and not as heavy as a Cab but heavier than a Barbaresco. This pinot begs to be chilled lightly, tastes of concord grapes and lemons and sage and finishes with a the glossy sheen of a sauvignon blanc and its true nature of grasses and citric. And for 999 a bottle, this is a deal. And remember any Trader Joe's label wine is not forever so it you buy and you like; raid your piggy bank and stock up! This store is clean, well stocked though i do notice that not all of what they usually carry is always in stock. Pandemic, product unavailability, shipping, Ah yes, the world in which we live circa 2022. If the stocking of Trader Joe's Superior Pumpkin Ice cream is affected by this i will picket my local Glendale TJ's...i swear. See you there, my fellow Yelpers. Cheers! read more

Oh Trader Joe's, I love thee for your seasonal items! (Lol) Many people shop Trader Joe's regularly but that has never been me. But, I do come in whenever a new season is arriving. Today I got a Grump Tree, Single poinsettia, hot chocolate stirrers, mini peppermint marshmallows, gingerbread houses, Winter Wake Up Tea, ginger bread cookie hangers for cups, and some stocking stuffers (.99 chocolate coins of the world, hot cocoa spoon, expresso beans). Pricing is fair, and quality is great on all items (food, and otherwise). Customer service is always wonderful at various Trader Joe locations I have visited in my opinion. Parking at this location is good because the store is located at the very top of the parking garage so easily found. I also appreciate their caution during this pandemic and am satisfied with how they limit patrons in store, require masks, provide sanitize, and sanitize services. I find this Trader Joe's more upscale and inviting for those shopping along along Lake. There is plenty of parking in the structure, and no crowds, at least when I was there. I saw the Elote corn display, and it reminded me of my time in Sedona, dining at a restaurant with the same name. The pizza at all the Trader Joe's is fantastic, so this has become a staple in my family. For healthy and micro-wave foods, you can't beat the frozen brown rice, which goes great with almost any soup or meat. This review is solely to acknowledge Ms. Lori's kindness. I went there today in the off chance that I might find the hit Daily Facial sunscreen but of course, they had run out as it was late in the day. I had asked the gentleman stocking the shelf when they're gonna restock and he said go to the front and just get it reserved. Ms. Lori heard our conversation and said she was reserving one for herself and produced it out of her pocket and gave it to me. That act of kindness truly touched me. What she didn't know was that I was always asking my now ex-bf, who loved Trader Joe's, to check if that sunscreen was back in stock. That relationship just traumatically ended less than two weeks ago and her act of kindness just about brought me to tears. Thank you, Ms. Lori. read more

Normally I love Trader Joe's but I'm feeling compelled to write this two star review. Yesterday we bought $344 worth of groceries....and two bag fulls were missing. No problem, I call the next morning and sure enough they had it at the store. Inconvenient and a pain in the ass to go back during this covid time, but okay that's not the worst part. So JJ helps me out over the phone and when I go in to find her, she's helpful. We're going through all the items and I mentioned that one of my orange chicken bags weren't in there. It went downhill from there and I was told to double check my refrigerator because those bags went straight to the freezer from register. I left feeling insulted and embarrassed. I don't need to lie about a $3-$4 bag of frozen food. I come here frequently and easily spent $344 this one trip. She wouldn't budge when I told her I didn't have it. Poor customer service....I really hope I don't find anymore moldy food with this batch groceries bc I don't want to come back to this store. But I will say TJ has been doing a great job of clerks wearing masks and preventing overcrowding. read more

Sammy was my cashier today: charismatic, bubbly, super sweet, and stunningly beautiful inside and out . The way she interacts with the customers is fantastic, and she is just one of many great staff members that work at Trader Joe's. I can be having a bad day, and I come to Trader Joe's, and it gets instantly better no exaggeration. They must treat their employees well. I don't know what it is, but whatever you are doing, keep doing it. I honestly don't think people realize how affordable this market is. Most of the stuff at TJ's is local, too, which is a massive deal for me. TJ's is the only place I'll ever go. I'm a loyal customer. Shopping is fun... Shopping with friends is funner... Shopping with LA friends is really, really fun! It happened to be the 50th Anniversary of Trader Joes. We had just finished brunch and dessert and still wanted to hang out together and be productive, so we decided that this was the best location to get some errands done. Other positives are good parking, spacious and clean environment, and it was relatively close to where we were. We were greeted by a Bean Bag Toss game - get two bags in and get a package of spaghetti noodles. Three bags will get you a bouquet of roses! Joce got 4 bags in and won a Gift Card! We also got free stickers, lemonade, and popcorn! Yay! Inside, the store was very organized! I found greeting cards, Bacon jerkey for my Lunch Buddy, cookies for my nieces, and fancy hand soap for my friend! Great products! We also indulged in the free samples of coffee and lettuce wraps of orange chicken and fried rice! I appreciate the convenient restroom and friendly customer service! Let's go again!
