But that's the mentality that keeps things moving slow. It would be so nice if people just did what it takes to keep things moving. Either hire enough people OR get in there and start bagging! I remember back in the days there was a bagger at the end of each checkout aisle. A bagger and a casher! Those days are gone ...and most stores now see if they can get away with overworking the checker! Next thing you know they install self check outs! Rather than hire people and keep a system of people working they just get rid of people and have 1 person observing (like these managers were doing). What a world we are moving towards. But anyways that's what you see. I wish they would just hire bag boys and go back to the good ol days.

Even offered me a shopping cart to start my grocery shopping. They practically have everything from seafood, alcohol, sushi counter, to their deli/meat department, baked goods, along with fresh baked bread, canned and jarred foods, packaged pasta, beverages, hot cases; even a butcher that can cut and marinade your poultry according to your liking. I saw a Burrito Bar, (which was something new and interesting to me). They had fresh produce, party trays, dairy and a lot more. They have ample parking and street/metered parking too. They also have outdoor seating, if you choose to eat/drink your beverage, food outside. They do catering, pick up and delivery orders. Aisles were fully stocked and easy to navigate. It's a nice, CLEAN, big store with a lot of discounted items here and there. Which was nice. What I liked is that the manager was helping the cashiers, because they were very busy. That just shows that management cares about their employees, as well as the customers. I bought a few items practically from every department. They usually stock on items that didn't sell well in other regular grocery chains, whether it be less popular flavors of certain cereals, or certain products that were overstocked but didn't sell well in more mainstream supermarkets. Definitely recommended to come at least once every 2 weeks for some great items that may be hard to find somewhere else, or items that maybe you wouldn't have tried otherwise. I remember coming here specifically for big bags of pierogis and dumplings, but I didn't see those this time. I did pick up a pack of ribs for $5.99, which I think is a pretty good deal. She is a lady with blonde hair and always wears a mask covering. She comes across as extremely unfriendly and impatient, and it often feels like customers are bothering her simply by asking for assistance. What bothers me even more is that I've personally witnessed her speaking to other customers in a very rude and disrespectful manner while they are simply trying to get help. I've also seen her treat her own coworkers rudely when they come to the counter needing assistance. It's uncomfortable to stand in line and watch someone be spoken to that way. I understand that working with the public can be stressful, but basic courtesy and respect should still be expected when dealing with customers and coworkers. No one should feel like they are inconveniencing an employee by asking for a service that the store provides. With that said, I do want to give credit where it's deserved. Vallarta has some really good products and food. Their aguas frescas are delicious, and lately I've been getting their rotisserie chicken, which has been really good. The taqueria also serves fresh food, and I've generally had much better experiences with the employees in that department--they are friendly, helpful, and seem to genuinely care about providing good service. It's unfortunate that one person's attitude can make an otherwise good store such an unpleasant experience. Again (their non-greeting style), the guy at the checkout counter didn't even acknowledge my presence. Some other guy sweeping, ran his mop over my toes and grumbled for me to move (I was trying to put my cart items on the counter and hadn't seen him). I let him move through and the checkout guy still never even looked at me. He gave me the total and I put in my card, grabbed my receipt and split. Not even a 'Thank you'. Bad Management, Bad Manners. Done with Sprouts. Not the end of the world, but I don't like spending very hard-earned money at a store, without even an acknowledgement that I'm standing in front of them.
