I prefer the LA Crescenta Ralph's but this Ralph's has Chilean Seabass. This a nice market and is convenient because the freeway exit is so close to this market. The exit is Gould and it's cross street is Foothill.

Whenever I'm looking for quality meats, I come to this Ralphs grocery store for the products they carry, and the clean feel I get from shopping at this particular Ralphs. Not all Ralphs are built the same, as this one caters to the folks living in La Canada, Flintridge, at the foothill of the Angeles National Forrest. On this day, I was reminded Mother's Day is coming around, and most likely we will not be able to celebrate at a restaurant that we've done for the past 30 plus years. So this year, I'm planning on a BBQ at home, and considering Prime Rib, Filet Mignon or another great piece of meat for BBQ. Usually I'm the one that cooks BBQ, so depending on the weather, you'll find me cooking meats from Ralphs for Mother's Day and any other Holiday for the next few months...

What I REALLY like about this Ralphs is that they have a Redbox. What I REALLY dislike about this Ralphs is the service at the deli section. I was there a couple of nights ago, and as usual, the service was horrible. The workers are to busy speaking to each other in order to take a moment to provide service. Many times I would have wanted to order a salad, but I can never catch anyone's attention. I LOVE the service at Gelson's, so I usually go there if I want a salad. Service was SO BAD last time I was there, that I watched a woman wave her arm and heard her raise her voice in order to get someone's attention. I didn't stick around long enough to see if she finally got help.

Good Ralph's. Seems a little pricey. Good staff. Great cheese, olive, salad, deli selection.

This location has really nice checkers, but inventory is lacking. This particular Ralphs is one of the smaller stores, but I really like the employees so I keep coming here. Since the rebates were discontinued last month it seems like the prices are going down quite a bit. 99 cents for strawberries is one example of good prices. Jennifer, Mark, Judy & Amy are the sweetest checkers. I'd probably shop at the La Crescenta store exclusively if they weren't here. I haven't seen Amy lately and hope she still works there. The box boys and girls are good. This store still carries the plastic shopping bags, so you don't have to worry about bringing your own bags. It is nice to be green and all, but 9 times out of 10 I forget them in my car. Sure, I can run out and get them, but it's kind of nice not to have to. I am taking one star off because they need to work on making sure they keep the shelves stocked. I get tired of asking for the 24 pack of diet pepsi because none are on the shelves and they don't have any in the back. The price for the 24 pack is so much better than the 12 pack. Also, they are putting old sodas on the shelves. I am taking another star off because the deli needs better management. I've been there twice around 5:30 p.m. looking for a rotisserie chicken and there weren't any available. They need someone to just manage that area better. If you know people are coming in for dinner items then they should pop some chickens on around 4:00 p.m.. I am giving them another star because they support the local schools, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. They let the scouts sell their cookies, popcorn and allow them to collect canned goods for various charities. Way to support the community, so I guess the community should support them and local businesses too.

What a rip off. Ralph's now charges a fee for cash back. Might as well take a quick trip to the bank instead---and buy groceries elsewhere.

My go-to used to be the La Canada Flintridge store, but when I saw this huge Ralphs, I knew I've found a better store. Mind you, La Canada has a high-end meats on sale, but overall, I'm impressed with the organization and size of the store. It's just a few miles further west, but worth the drive.

My one-star review is mainly directed at management, specifically a manager named Ana. My family…read moreand I have shopped at this store for years and have spent thousands of dollars here, as I'm sure many other local residents have. This is also the busiest store in the area, so professionalism really matters. Unfortunately, I've witnessed repeated behavior from this manager that is completely unacceptable. I've seen her yell at middle school-aged kids at the front of the store, right outside the Ralphs entrance, with no self-control and no professionalism. I've also seen her belittle employees--speaking to them as if they were toddlers rather than adults--and I once saw an employee sitting outside almost in tears due to how they were treated or accused. On another occasion, she was yelling at a mentally ill individual outside the entrance, which again was highly unprofessional. Employees also seem genuinely afraid to speak up or push back against her behavior. From what I've observed, she appears to abuse her position of authority and manipulate situations in her favor, creating a work environment where staff feel intimidated rather than supported. She regularly accuses people of shoplifting without clear proof, often based solely on her own assumptions. Her attitude is extremely condescending, and she seems to pick and choose which customers she feels deserve customer service. That is not how a manager should behave. What's most frustrating is that when concerns are brought to other managers, they appear dismissive and brush them off, as if management simply protects one another regardless of behavior. This creates the impression that there are no consequences. Some of the Employees at this Store are Great and consistently provide excellent customer service and professionalism. That is the standard all managers should be held to. Sadly, this particular manager is a liability to Ralphs, and it's disappointing that the company doesn't seem to recognize it.

For those that are not familiar with Super King Market, this is a market that was founded by Peter…read moreand Mary Fermanian, with the first store in Anaheim (which has since remolded and is significantly bigger than the first one). The name "King" is a homage to honor their father, who was known to be the king of fruit. Super King Market is best known for their produce, excellent quality and very affordable prices. The market itself is very international in which you can find Middle Eastern items, Hispanic items and also Asian grocery items as well. I really love Super King and so does my husband. After my husband had discovered the location in Claremont (I actually had shopped there before he did, many years ago), he just has this desire to visit the other locations. We have already visited the one in Glendale, which is my least favorite of the 3 that we have gone to so far. This location is cleaner and does seem to be bigger (but I prefer the set up and layout of the location in Claremont. The parking is way better than the other 2 locations that we have visited). Anyways, we came by this store on a Saturday and it was definitely busy. But not so busy that it felt crowded (but can't say that will be the same for you if you come on a weekend). The first selection I love to visit is their produce section. There is such a vast variety of different, good quality, vegetables and fruits. And what makes this section even better is the fact that the produce is so cheaply priced. A market like this really encourages you to choose healthier choices of fruits and vegetables (and also whole grains. The dried grains, rice + beans section is also very cheap, as compared to the typical American market like Von's, Ralph's, etc). I also love all the different types of breads that you can find on the other side of the store. The prices for whole wheat pita bread is very cheap too (and also the regular pita bread for those who don't appreciate whole grain foods and don't get enough fiber in their diet). Be aware that a lot of their fresh breads have a short shelf life so make sure you finish your bread before they go bad and have mold :( Customer service at the register was just whatever, but I don't come to this market expecting it to be stellar, so that doesn't bother me. The prices are great here, the selection of food items (in many different departments, not just the produce) is excellent and would come back to this location more often if I lived in the area.

Well they have super long lines and no baggers. So the cashier has to bag and it can take so much…read moreextra time. Unless you the customer bags your own stuff. But the elderly can't do that so it's why the lines are so long. Now here is the kicker. At the end of the checking line is a manager ...sometimes 2. A man and a woman. They are observing the long lines...counting something...just observing. It would help if THEY just go to the end of a long line and start bagging! See, that would be cool! You see you guys have not scheduled any baggers and the lines are so long they are down the aisles .. and you are just standing there? Of course they may say, well that's not my job. But that's the mentality that keeps things moving slow. It would be so nice if people just did what it takes to keep things moving. Either hire enough people OR get in there and start bagging! I remember back in the days there was a bagger at the end of each checkout aisle. A bagger and a casher! Those days are gone ...and most stores now see if they can get away with overworking the checker! Next thing you know they install self check outs! Rather than hire people and keep a system of people working they just get rid of people and have 1 person observing (like these managers were doing). What a world we are moving towards. But anyways that's what you see. I wish they would just hire bag boys and go back to the good ol days.
