My go-to used to be the La Canada Flintridge store, but when I saw this huge Ralphs, I knew I've found a better store. My one-star review is mainly directed at management, specifically a manager named Ana. My family and I have shopped at this store for years and have spent thousands of dollars here, as I'm sure many other local residents have. This is also the busiest store in the area, so professionalism really matters. Unfortunately, I've witnessed repeated behavior from this manager that is completely unacceptable. I've seen her yell at middle school-aged kids at the front of the store, right outside the Ralphs entrance, with no self-control and no professionalism. I've also seen her belittle employees--speaking to them as if they were toddlers rather than adults--and I once saw an employee sitting outside almost in tears due to how they were treated or accused. On another occasion, she was yelling at a mentally ill individual outside the entrance, which again was highly unprofessional. Employees also seem genuinely afraid to speak up or push back against her behavior. From what I've observed, she appears to abuse her position of authority and manipulate situations in her favor, creating a work environment where staff feel intimidated rather than supported. She regularly accuses people of shoplifting without clear proof, often based solely on her own assumptions. Her attitude is extremely condescending, and she seems to pick and choose which customers she feels deserve customer service. That is not how a manager should behave. What's most frustrating is that when concerns are brought to other managers, they appear dismissive and brush them off, as if management simply protects one another regardless of behavior. This creates the impression that there are no consequences. Some of the Employees at this Store are Great and consistently provide excellent customer service and professionalism. That is the standard all managers should be held to. Sadly, this particular manager is a liability to Ralphs, and it's disappointing that the company doesn't seem to recognize it. read more

Have a "Two Day Only Sale" (Not Digital Coupon) do NOT have additional stock on hand to cover the sales for the first day let alone 2 days then have 4 store completely empty of the item with 3 of the 4 stores not even having the signage for the sale in the meat section at the item, issue a rain check and then claim the rain check the Glendale store issued is invalid because "The sale was a limited time"! The rules are apparently confusing to store managers because I did get a rain check from the Glendale Ave store only to have it not honored at La Crescenta. Nice new way to screw us Ralph's, I guess the "double the single price" for a buy one get one "sale" wasn't enough for you! read more

This raulphs is great overall but the starbucks inside it is a big issue. Anytime me or people i know go there the same workers always give us extreme attitude and completely mess up the drink. Theyre so unprofessional. They didnt even warm up our food and when we nicely asked them to do so or if we could even get a refund. The two girls started being extremely disrespectful and saying they did and even cussing somebody i know out. We asked a manager for the refund and she was still laughing in our face to her other coworker cussing us out and making rude comments. The entire time she was talking bad about us and rolling her eyes because she simply cant do her job right. I feel that if you're on the clock you should be treating customers with normal human decency and respect. This was not a one time occurrence and i dont think they are capable of doing their job at all. we were being extremely nice while ordering and while asking for a refund yet they just laughed in our face and started yelling without even caring. read more

This Ralphs is open till 1am and is always pretty much well stocked. I hate that am here so often, but appreciate the later hours. Parking is plentiful and you can get in and out fairly quickly even during holidays! The cheese station selection here is HUGE and I dare say better than my local Gelson's. This location also has a private wine cellar room. USDA choice meats are always abundant and on sale; USDA prime can be found at the small meat counter. Fruits and Veggies aren't my favorite here, sometimes seasonal stuff are decent. Asian pantry items are pretty cool, Ralphs carry's the basic. Once again, the cheese station here is great. Best part about shopping here? Workers are friendly and clientele are considerate; most importantly it's well stocked majority of the time! read more

this place has improved over the years. at least two renovations, recent upgrades to the deli and refrigerated/dairy cases, and the return of prime beef along with dry aged options helped elevate the shopping experience. deli and fresh meat here are better than vons which has a better bakery. parking is plentiful but will fill up at the expected times. the star of this show can be found running the self-checkout station or occasionally a register in the late afternoon/evening shift. brian is consistently cheerful and easy-going, infinitely patient, and eternally helpful in his knowledge of store products and procedures. he is the guy men want to be and women want to be around. his presence makes this 3-star supermarket a 5-star experience. in fact, this ralphs should be renamed brian's, since ralph has never done anything for me, but brian has. read more

I am beyond frustrated with this store. I've been a loyal shopper at this Ralphs for over 10 years, spending $300-$400 per week to feed my family. But for the past year and a half, I've walked out more often than not feeling angry and fed up. Yes, grocery prices are outrageous everywhere, but that's only part of the problem. I can't help but wonder how Trader Joe's can sell eggs for under $5 a dozen while Ralphs (Kroger) somehow needs to charge nearly $10 to turn a profit--but I digress. The so-called "Digital Coupons" are a disaster. They only work about 50% of the time in-store. I connect to the store's WiFi, follow the steps, scan the QR code as instructed--and the app crashes. When I ask employees for help, responses range from dismissive to downright rude. Even those who try to assist usually tell me to log out, delete the app, and start over--which rarely works. Who has the patience to troubleshoot an app every time they need groceries? The alternative? Pay double--$10 for a 12-pack of Coke instead of the advertised $5. The only reason I still shop here at all is sheer convenience, but I'm actively trying to go elsewhere. I even spoke with a manager about the ongoing app issues, and when I asked if she had reported it to corporate, her response was, "There's no one for me to tell." That sums up the attitude perfectly: Shut up and give us your money. I'm done with it and looking for better options. read more

AMAZING Hot Wheels selection, terrible cellphone reception ---------------------- That is the review. LOL. I must say they do have an awesome hot wheels selection. I went here for two small grocery items and naturally made a beeline to the hot wheels section. And what do you know the worker was stocking a brand new shipment of hot wheels ! At least three other dads and I were excitedly checking out the new stock. Found a Porsche 993- for a dollar! Another dad found a Hello Kitty van for his daughter. It's like Christmas in January! I love this ralphs. I go here daily, but maybe not anymore. I dont know yet. So this bad review is for SPECIFICALLY VIRGINIA (short older blonde lady). Your customer service is horrible. I have worked in service my whole working career, and when a customer comes to ask you a question, you dont meet them with attitude and negative energy. There are many polite ways to say "no" or "we dont have it", you didnt need to cut me off, and you DEFINITELY didnt need to be so harsh. I did nothing to you except ask a question. If the Ralphs company doesnt give change, how come when i called 4 different ralphs they all said that wasnt an issue...and when i went back to your store, they gave it to me. Worst store ever... horrible online shopping app, horrible uncourteous managemnet team. Always a problem with ads and digital coupons, always additional hassle trying to get corrections and adjustments and then you have to wait while they explain. I've lived in La Crescenta for about 15 years and usually go to Ralphs for groceries. Chris, the manager, is always wonderful and the produce stockers as well. I usually come here on a weekly Basis. But today was the worst experience! I needed a money order since banks are closed on Sunday. I walked in and Kelly Dunlap turned me away. She said that money orders aren't sold on the weekend which is a complete lie because I went to the store in La CañAda Flintridge and they helped me with no problem. I also called the other Ralph's in Burbank and Glendale and they confirmed that money are sold every day. I have never felt so discriminated for being Hispanic. Prior to leaving the store, I spoke to another associate who said the store manager was on vacation. I called back and another associate said that he was looking over a Burbank store. Unfortunately, it's a Sunday but believe that I will be going to corporate. read more

Sometimes my girlfriend or I will shop here. They have a full deli and bakery too and a full meat and a Sushi bar too. My Girlfriend and I stopped in here the day before Christmas to get some meat from the Deli. We ordered up a pound of Boars head Livers wurst and a pound of Salami. We also ordered up a pound of the red potato salad and a pound of their sweet carrots and a pound of the yams and a pound of creamy spinach's and a pound of their cranberry mix. They have the best tasting cranberry mix and my girlfriend said it was even better then hers. The Cranberry mix has cranberries, walnuts, pineapples, grapes and maybe something else in it, but it sure was tasteful. This place has tables and chairs inside of the store as well as outside of the store. read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place. It's friendlier than the La Cañada Ralphs and larger than the Glendale location. I love that there is never a long wait to check out and they carry Boar's Head in their deli. The last few times I've shopped, I went through self-checkout and can I just say that JENNIFER is amazing!! She's super friendly and helpful and doesn't get impatient or annoyed with customers who are having difficulty figuring out the register. Just moved to this area and damn this is the largest Ralph's grocery store I've ever been to haha. The way it's organized is very interesting with poultry/meat on one side and vegetables on the complete other. However the Deli is closed at 630-7pm which I've never seen such a thing. Sunday 5/23/2021 ~ 2:01pm The personnel at Ralphs 2675 Foothill Bl. La Crescenta, CA 818-249-5448 have no customer service skills which has been repeatedly exhibited in my frequent shopping experiences. A few months back I was reprimanded for buying cigarettes by a male cashier. Today I needed to return 2 items (BLTH SMTHE and BTHM JUICE @ $5 ea.) without a receipt. Mgr. Leilani asked if I intended to shop, to which I replied "yes". Twice Leilani 'told' me I needed to bring a receipt in the future if I wished to return a product (I'd purchased these items a few days prior and I don't buy products just to return them). Leilani also informed me to hold onto the products until I was ready to check out, and for the 3rd time said "next time bring the receipt". I'm 68 years old, I completely understood the 1st time, there was no need to tell me a 2nd or 3rd time. With 20 items in my cart (ultimately totaling $55.44) I asked Leilani if I could go through the self-check-out, she replied 'no, go through check-stand #7". The cashier was still in the process of completing the transaction with the customer in front of me when Leilani came over to check-stand #7 and instructed me 4 MORE times to "next time bring the receipt", needless to say by then I became completely irritated saying "stop harassing me" to which she continued the "next time bring the receipt" tirade. Manager Paul intervened, apologizing for Leilani's performance, however, what had been a nice sunny easy-going day has caused me anxiety and aggravation. My 88-year-old father shops at this location as well and he has also complained about rude behavior on the part of employees. This is unacceptable customer service behavior. read more

It's a Ralph's. While Trader Joe's is my number one grocery store, Ralph's is the second. They have most everything that I am looking for, and service is friendly enough. Prices are reasonable, but as always there are some items that are good deals, and others that are a rip off. My tip would be to check out the Ralph's app and be sure to grab the Free Friday coupon each week. It's usually something pretty good, and you have a few weeks to pick it up. You just need to be sure to grab the coupon on the Friday. Also, be sure to use your Fuel Points at the nearby Shell. You can get $.20 off per gallon based on how many points you have. This makes the Shell almost the same price at Costco. read more

This Ralph's is always very clean, very well-stocked, and the employees seem to be helpful and kind for the most part. I love the giant cheese station in the deli department, I think it's bigger and more sophisticated than any other I've seen, outside of a boutique shop. There's always plenty of parking and they do a very good job reducing line size by making sure there are plenty of checkers on the floor. It also doesn't hurt that they are open until 1 a.m. . They overcharge and make errors at checkout in their favor. Has happened to me multiple times. If you catch the error, they take their sweet time with a bad attitude, make you wait for an unreasonable length of time until they check the price on the shelf and then finally refund your money. read more

I'm not going to be shopping here too often. I found something I was looking for and it was slightly damaged but overall in decent shape. The clerk/manager didn't communicate anything to me and ripped off the tags. It's the clerk/managers responsibility to say something give me an option and let me know the sale is final. And the cleanliness was second-to-none compared to other big box grocery stores I shopped at. The prices were on-par with most major grocery chain, but I felt they offered better discounts on a weekly basis. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (total paid experience was around $51.00 AFTER discounts; no tip required).
