This review is for 4 stores: La Crescenta La Canada Glendale Central Glendale Glendale Blvd So the market that has scammed us for a decade by doubling prices on items then offering "But One Get One" has a new way to screw us. Have a "Two Day Only Sale" (Not Digital Coupon) do NOT have additional stock on hand to cover the sales for the first day let alone 2 days then have 4 store completely empty of the item with 3 of the 4 stores not even having the signage for the sale in the meat section at the item, issue a rain check and then claim the rain check the Glendale store issued is invalid because "The sale was a limited time"! The rules are apparently confusing to store managers because I did get a rain check from the Glendale Ave store only to have it not honored at La Crescenta. Nice new way to screw us Ralph's, I guess the "double the single price" for a buy one get one "sale" wasn't enough for you!

This Ralphs is open till 1am and is always pretty much well stocked. I hate that am here so often, but appreciate the later hours. Parking is plentiful and you can get in and out fairly quickly even during holidays! The cheese station selection here is HUGE and I dare say better than my local Gelson's. This location also has a private wine cellar room. USDA choice meats are always abundant and on sale; USDA prime can be found at the small meat counter. Fruits and Veggies aren't my favorite here, sometimes seasonal stuff are decent. Asian pantry items are pretty cool, Ralphs carry's the basic. Once again, the cheese station here is great. Best part about shopping here? Workers are friendly and clientele are considerate; most importantly it's well stocked majority of the time!

this place has improved over the years. at least two renovations, recent upgrades to the deli and refrigerated/dairy cases, and the return of prime beef along with dry aged options helped elevate the shopping experience. deli and fresh meat here are better than vons which has a better bakery. parking is plentiful but will fill up at the expected times. the star of this show can be found running the self-checkout station or occasionally a register in the late afternoon/evening shift. brian is consistently cheerful and easy-going, infinitely patient, and eternally helpful in his knowledge of store products and procedures. he is the guy men want to be and women want to be around. his presence makes this 3-star supermarket a 5-star experience. in fact, this ralphs should be renamed brian's, since ralph has never done anything for me, but brian has.

    Beautiful, huge arrangement

This location is the best around. It's huge and literally has everything. They carry a lot of what Whole Foods carries but at better prices. I love it!

AMAZING Hot Wheels selection, terrible cellphone reception ---------------------- That is the review. LOL. I must say they do have an awesome hot wheels selection. I went here for two small grocery items and naturally made a beeline to the hot wheels section. And what do you know the worker was stocking a brand new shipment of hot wheels ! At least three other dads and I were excitedly checking out the new stock. Found a Porsche 993- for a dollar! Another dad found a Hello Kitty van for his daughter. It's like Christmas in January! Another note this store has terrible cell phone service so you need to look up any deals in the parking lot before entering the store.

This is the best Tikka Masala in a jar!

I'm writing a few reviews before I retire from writing reviews for yelp. I'm shopping at the grocery more because of inflation. Before I stop writing reviews, I'd like to talk about Ralph's brand Tikka Masala. This brand of Masala is so good, it's better than 99% of Indian restaurants.

If you ever use self check out here, just beware they profile you They look at you like your going to rob the place Also common sense would tell you somebody wearing headphones does not want to be talked to. No I don't need a damn bag. I'm not gonna run out of your store with what I'm scanning.

I love the giant cheese station in the deli department, I think it's bigger and more sophisticated than any other I've seen, outside of a boutique shop.

Made with quality flour and baked fresh hourly, they are usually served hot from the oven, and I can't resist eating 1/4 of it before I get home. The fresh cut flowers and plants welcome you into this Armenian market, with tall, vibrant roses unlike those found at most florists. Big Square also offers a solid selection of produce, meats, pastres, alcohol, and other goods. Specialty items like Armenian coffee, unique condiments, and hard to find deli products are always available. For meat products, they have frozen quail, which is usually difficult to find... however, I have never been a fan of their other meat items. The one time I purchased shank and liver, it wasn't as fresh and of quality I anticipated. Parking can at times be difficult and drivers are a bit aggressive. I suggest shopping here during slow hours vs. peak times.

I have personally seen her benevolent approach to each customer. Although problems can arise in any store, this is not a sufficient reason to offend or treat a person disrespectfully. The level of care and customer service back then was completely different. Recently, I had a very disappointing experience with the current manager, Lilit. I returned chicken that was clearly uncooked--not for a refund, but simply to make them aware so it wouldn't happen again. Instead of handling it professionally, she became defensive, raised her voice, and insisted the chicken was cooked, essentially accusing me of lying. As a long-time loyal customer, that was very upsetting. I was respectful, but the way I was treated was rude and dismissive. This is not the kind of service Golden Market used to be known for. Because of this experience, I highly discourage anyone from going there. I will not be returning, and I will not recommend it to my family or friends. I truly hope management takes this seriously and brings back the level of respect and customer care that Soorik and Ofelia once provided. Btw I Think she needs to know that she is just a manager at local grocery store and she is super uneducated and low class.

The prices is here are pretty reasonable especially with lots of expensive sandwich shops out there these days.

I saw an Instagram post about a thick-cut wagyu pastrami hoagie. Well, the thick-cut pastrami isn't…read morea thing anymore. The pastrami is cut thin -- thin, but it's still good. What we ordered: 1) a create-your-own pastrami sandwich with mustard, pickles, and Swiss cheese, 2) their new pastrami cheesesteak. 3) a banana pudding (which I haven't tried yet) The standard pastrami hoagie good, but those kinds of pastrami sandwiches are pretty ubiquitous in SoCal-- pastrami, thinly sliced; maybe there's pickles, maybe there's mustard, maybe there's jus for a dip (their's is dry), on a French roll. I can get that kind of pastrami sandwich closer to me. On the other hand, a pastrami cheesesteak is NOT something you'd see around these parts. According to the menu, their cheesesteak has their signature pastrami, Cooper sharp cheddar, and onions on a hoagie roll. We preferred the pastrami cheesesteak over the standard, simply because of the novelty but also for the taste. The cheddar gave the cheesesteak a richness that a regular pastrami sandwich wouldn't have. Also, the melted cheddar had a binding effect on the pastrami; the meat stayed in the sandwich. You didn't end up with a third to half the pastrami ending up escaping the confines of the roll halves. The pastrami cheesesteak also included a 2oz serving cup of chipotle aioli which we really didn't need. The flavor on its own was enough for us. If I had a minor gripe on this cheesesteak, maybe a hit of acid would've been nice, but cheesesteaks usually lean toward rich and gooey so this sandwich's flavors and textures are par for the course. About the place itself: 1) the sandwich shop is on the corner of a major intersection, Lexington and Pacific 2) other than a driveway with a single space, it is ALL street parking. 3) there is NO parking on Pacific 4) the only dine-in option is a small porch with a couple of tables 5) be stage are all canned or bottled; there is no fountain The sandwiches are made to order. My order was given a wait time of 15 minutes but I'm pretty sure it was faster than that. I don't think I would drive all the way from the Rosemead area, but it's clearly a local's favorite. If we were in the area, we'd totally order the pastrami cheesesteak again, maybe with pepperonis. Their pastrami is no Langer's, but it's definitely a cut (no pun intended) over the standard Jim's 1/4 Lb or Rick's type joints. You can taste the care in its preparation. Overall, a really good sandwich place.

I didn't notice that the date on the cut watermelon was expired. When I got to my hotel and wanted something sweet and cold, I opened the container and it was all smelly, not crisp, and watery.
