This place is my favorite supermarket in the area. Awesome selection of groceries. They have sushi and salad bar. Decent cooked food for take out. Deli has boars head and other quality meats. Seafood department has live lobster. Alcohol selection is as good as it gets. They even have a wine cellar with for high end wine. Tons of beers to chose from. Hard liquor galore. If your alcoholic it's heaven lol anyways enough of the booze. Service is amazing everyone here has been working for ever. All smiles and your in & out in no time even if busy. Plenty of cashiers at all times. If your in the mood for coffee they even have coffee bean in store. Prices are good but seems to me Vons might be cheaper but that's my opinion. read more

I'm not going to be shopping here too often. I found something I was looking for and it was slightly damaged but overall in decent shape. The clerk/manager didn't communicate anything to me and ripped off the tags. It's the clerk/managers responsibility to say something give me an option and let me know the sale is final. 5 stars for every department at this Ralph's - especially Murray's cheese section. The assortment and variety is insane and overwhelming, but the associates who work in this area make the selecting process a whole lot easier. I've been coming to this Ralph's for a while now and any time there are samples to try, I jump right on it. Samples are not just of the cheese but include an ideal presentation and pairings of crackers and jams. Today I was looking for a cheese that would suit a bottle of Cab, and the associate who I believe was named Reed was over the top helpful. Selecting three different types of cheese that would pair well with the wine, then letting me have a taste of each cheese. I left Murray's cheese section satisfied with my decision and delighted with the amazing service. I choose a wedge of Ossau Iraty btw. I couldn't love this Ralph's anymore. I am so sad to write this review. This Ralphs was my favorite store for years. Since COVID, it is the dirtiest store! Plus, the employees have gone from being nice to being awful! No one cleans the carts. They have a dirty cart outside with a spray bottle of some unknown liquid, and a dirty roll of paper towels. The cart is also full of trash. I guess the customer is expected to pick up the bottle, which has been handled by every other customer who has come to the store, and try to clean their own cart. I have started bringing my own wipes for that purpose. Every other store where I have gone, the baskets are being cleaned by the staff. The employees all seem to be on edge. I very nicely asked one checker to please stand up a bottle of stain remover, because i know it leaks when it is on it's side. She responded with "you know, you can bag your own groceries". Sometimes there are so many people in that market, that you can't possible stay 6 feet away. There is no one keeping track of the number of people in that store. Apparently the deli will not slice deli meat after 6:30pm. Not working for someone who works until 6:00 and gets to the store at 6:31. Not customer service oriented. The biggest negative factor is that ralphs is pretty pricey for the quality you receive. Other than that, it's open late and has everything you are looking for! I always look out for the managers specials. If you go late enough at night, they'll have half pound or a whole chicken for $2.50. They also have mashed potatoes and pasta with beef for $2.50 as well! You can't go wrong with pretty good chicken that is ready to eat, for a price that is cheaper than McDonald's. I have also bought a bouquet of balloons here and the employee was so nice and have great suggestions on balloons and colors. Other than that experience, there is no customer service. I do prefer trader joes over ralphs any day. But ralphs is open later every night, and it does the trick... So why not? read more

Ralphs pickup is a joke. I placed an order on Sunday for some flour and some sugar because I couldn't find it for the last four weeks. I was assigned a Friday pick up five days later. Then I receive a call on Friday telling me that people bought all the flour and sugar in the morning of the day of my pick up and therefore they do not have the item and they cannot set it aside or hold it for me even though they had my money for five days. please do not think that if you order from Ralphs for delivery or pick up you will get your item go to Smart and final or someplace else and buy what you need in this time of need. read more

I like this store, but here's the problem. Twice I have gone in to buy sushi, and the guy making it (a different person each time) is wearing his mask down under his nose. WHAT? I left without buying any sushi. Surely there have been meetings in which the employees have been told how to properly wear a mask. And here are the guys making sushi with masks not covering their noses? COME ON. It's a pandemic! If your mask won't stay in place, get a better mask! One that fits your face properly. This has been my go to Ralph's for years. Love the fresh fare. Some of the cashiers could be more professional and pay attention to each other vs. talking to their coworkers but whatever. The cheese selection is great, and I've never had an issue with the cleanliness, until last week. We're in a global pandemic folk, and I (a public health professional) couldn't believe that masks weren't being enforced, the conveyor wouldn't be cleaned, even after I asked (only every 30 minutes, and she wouldn't budge. Maybe she would have gotten in trouble, but I politely asked, and no one was behind me), and they allowed a non-service dog inside (an employee, who may have been a manager, was petting the dog). There are rules for our safety, all of ours, and this location dismissed them! . chose a later night shopping time to avoid the crowds but was met with apathy. Sadly, it made me so irked and uncomfortable, I took my shopping elsewhere this week. Update: I went back two weeks later, and it was worse. They left a spray bottle and roll of towels, leaving the cleaning up to the customers, who now are touching up on everything. The produce man was loading the produce with a mask only over his mouth!!! Nose was exposed. When the announcements were made for staff to clean their areas, no one budged. The conveyor was dirty yet again. I was told it was "only" flour and sugar. Only? It's proof that the belt wasn't clean. It's disappointing because this store was clean, once upon a time. read more

This just a year ago was the best possible local market in our area with outstanding customer service and goods. Now customer service is suffering. The bakery, which used to be high end, has a strawberry mousse cake it sells with tacky vanilla Oreos on top. The wait, even when no one else is in line and staff can see you is too long at the bakery as well. Also the meat section, which also used to have great customer service, is often unattended. There is a bell to ring for service and no one comes. This is a stark contrast from the Ralph's La Crescenta I knew just a year ago in which all bakery items were of top quality and it seemed like personnel was monitoring to make sure every area was well staffed. Every year I put their cake decorators to the test and they deliver every year! This year was no different: Dodgers themed and Frozen Forever themed for my two kids. And the bakery outshined on both! I've gotten so many compliments on the taste, the creativity and the impressive quality and people are still surprised our cakes come from Ralph's. I'm not. I used to shop at this Ralphs at least twice a week because I live close, but it has been over a year since I have stepped foot in that store. I now shop at Trader Joe's in Montrose or Target in Eagle Rock! That's right I will drive to Eagle Rock and rub elbows with poor people just to avoid from being ripped off by the sky high prices or the sticky fingered cashiers, who seem to think I will not bother to count my change and I mean dollar bills. I am surprised this store doesnt have higher ratings. I have been shopping here a year and it's great. The sushi is great for a quick dinner pickup and the cheese selection is amazing. The wine selection is also right on point and I love the temperature controlled wine room. They also just started having deli meat and cheese sliced so you can grab it and go and not have to wait in the deli line. The only comment for improvement is to have the tuna poke in the front with the sushi. You have to go and get it from the fish counter in the back. read more

Love love loved their grocery pick-up. Use it every week and everyone is incredibly nice, especially Natasha. I hope they keep if after the pandemic is over, which it looks like they might. They're much better organized than Vons, we've tried them too. I know they don't do tips but I wish I could afford to tip them every time, they definitely deserve it. My only request is that they give us more time to approve substitutions. Sometimes they only give 30 minutes and I'm not necessarily sitting at my phone all the time waiting for their text unfortunately. Just a suggestion. We're usually pretty happy with the substitutions anyway. It does seem like they miss items in the order once in a while, which isn't the end of the world. This is my favorite ralphs. I go here every other week to load up. I like how everything is on sale, always. It's on par with Vons, but huger, cleaner and nicer. The ladies and gentlemen at the deli are a bit slow so I skip that. The fruits section is nice (but I get my produce at Korean markets...yum and cheap). This is THE supermarket I go to. It's huge, clean, and fairly easy to navigate yourself around. I usually go here because there's ample parking, they have a Redbox (my life), and they're eco-friendly!! So don't forget to bring your reusable grocery bags, or you'll have to pay 10 cents to buy some paper bags. Their fruits and veggies are always fresh, but you pay the price. The prices are a bit steep here, so if I know something costs a bit over the top, I'll wait to buy it at a Trader Joe's or a korean market. I also like how this place has self check outs. This review is based on an employee named Brian who was working the self check out Today around 3:55pm to 4:05pm I witnessed him be disgustingly inappropriate to two young girls obviously minors. He was acting so predatory and too physically close to them telling one they "were pretty" and "how he really liked their hair" while they were so uncomfortable and quite and didn't say anything and just wanted to leave the store! They went to the self check out and for some reason had to scan their giant case of water to the stand alone where he "helped him". We have to create safe spaces for young girls to and not have to be around creepy men like that! Why couldn't they just buy their item and leave? This was honestly so disgusting to witness. I already called the store and spoke to someone that was in charge at the time, Zelda? I hope the footage/audio gets reviewed I hope this is taken seriously. I hate to think about any other girls/women feelings unsafe there by him. Please address this immediately. I hope the girls told their parents about him. I've seen him before and my friends always thought he was creepy and abrasive I'd be surprised if this was the first time someone's reached out about him. I like this Ralph's because it's nearby and clean. They usually have everything I need and the employees have always been helpful. Ralph's is usually one of the more expensive markets, but sometimes they have really good sales which somewhat makes up for it. If there was another place just as close, I'd probably visit Ralph's a lot less. There is a Coffee Bean INSIDE the store, which is super convenient while waking up your brain to decide what you need for your empty pantry. This isn't turning out to be my best review. I am not sorry, but I give this Ralph's a one star. Sad to say I can not believe they have associates working there that are older than my mom's age with poor customer service skills. How did they get the job? The associates working in the florist department were rude and not helpful. I had to go to a welcome baby, so I had gone to think the florist department would be helpful to help me choose or give an idea of a flower a arrangement I should buy. Sadly when I approached them they did not put me first as a customer, avoided me by giving short answers, and basically did not assistant me to what I want to buy for the event i was attending to. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED THAT RALPHS DOES NOT SELL BIRTHDAY CAKE OREOS. CAUSE FOR HYPERVENTILATION. LOW RATINGS, STARTING NOW - I'm totally kidding! I love this Ralphs. It is clean, spacious, and with many options. The Coffee Bean is fantastic and a good thing to go to when wanting some coffee while doing grocery shopping (or you're just not in the mood for Starbucks, which is in the same plaza). I was not lying when I said that this Ralphs doesn't have the limited edition Birthday Cake Oreos (Vons does, though), but that is hardly a fraction of a reason to give it a negative rating, right? I just felt a bit light hearted since all the reviewing I'm doing on Yelp out of nowhere at 2:40 in the morning is bringing on some of my not-so-great humor. For service, I personally haven't experienced any particular problems. I do use the self-checkout service quite often just because I tend to purchase a small number of items, but when I have gone to the check out lines, I have not felt discriminated against or whatever other issues previous Yelp reviewers have seemed to have. I have the tendency to put on this apathetic, "don't mess with me" sort of face combined with a brisk walking pace - perhaps that is why people haven't treated me poorly in any way. Overall, I like this Ralphs and come to it often. It's cheaper than the Walgreens on Foothill and Ramsdell, and I like that I get discounts in both groceries and Shell gas with my Ralphs membership. One thing that gets slightly annoying is the fact that I need to bring my own bags for groceries or pay for plastic/paper bags (I always forget to bring my own bag), but I know it's for a good purpose, so kudos to Ralphs. read more

This location reminds me of the Ralph's at the top of Big Bear Mtn. It has that woodsy feel. Normal prices can get expensive but if you strictly shop for deals, you can save 30-50% on average. Plenty of parking since I can't see this lot ever getting full. I love Coffee Bean too so that's a plus. read more
