This review is for Dolly :) I arrived on a Friday night at 8:05pm and didn't realized they closed at 8pm. There was a guy who was letting a customer out the door so I had asked if I can still pick up my online order and he told me no because they were already closed. I went back to my car and another worker, Dolly, walked up to me and said she can help me. I was so surprised that she went out of her way to walk to my car to let me know that. She found my order quickly and I was in and out within 2 minutes. She was very friendly and had great customer service. Definitely need more workers like her! :) thank you!! read more

Every time I step into a World Market store, I don't know what to expect because it offers so much in unique variety from all over the world. World Market Pasadena is the real deal! Great place to find unique, international foods from Europe and Asia and non-food merchandise such as pillows, rugs, furniture + bath items, accessories, and kitchen + cooking items... I could spend hours walking up and down the aisles. Believe it! Free parking in front of the store. Carts are available for use. Restroom requires a code so get the code before walking all the way to the back of the store on the left side. Some staff was friendly and nice. Other staff was just okay... they could offer a smile or two. I placed my order online for 4 sets of Lunar New Year novelty chopsticks for the 2026 Year of the Horse. I came here to pick up my online order. Prior to doing so, my eldest daughter and I walked around the store to check out the aisles. We ended up getting a couple other items (Lindor milk chocolates that was on sale, Cafe Du Monde beignet mix from New Orleans) in addition to my online order. It's like traveling the worlds as you walk through this store! Pricing though as you may imagine is a little higher especially if you shop at TJ Maxx, Home goods those types of stores. But there are items here you can find anywhere else, unless you travel or you go to flea market. All sorts of stuff foods, small items, furniture even- so welcoming that people lounging there, falling asleep too! Employees there so helpful so attentive and you can tell they enjoy working there. This location has the best selection of food and beverages! Great place to find your favorite imported foods. It is the only store currently that has Branston Pickles in stock. First time ever visiting World Market! My boyfriend and I stopped by after grabbing lunch nearby, and I'll admit... I might have been overly excited going in. I've seen so many videos of cute finds, so my expectations were high and I did leave a little underwhelmed. BUT we still made the best of it. There's definitely a ton to browse. Snacks, furniture, décor, toys, greeting cards and pretty much a little bit of everything. As a fellow cat lover, I'm always on the hunt for cute cat-themed items, and they actually had a great selection, which I loved. One thing I couldn't ignore though: the pricing. It really ranged from reasonable to "wait... $40 for one pillow?!" I noticed a pattern where every super cute item I picked up (like an adorable sushi pillow and a picnic blanket/tote) was around $40. As cute as they were, I personally couldn't justify spending that much. I also didn't find any of the viral food stools I always see online, and the mini section I was excited about was pretty limited. When we finally found it, there were only a few items available. Kind of a bummer since that seemed like such a fun gift-giving section. That said, the store was very clean and the service was great. Our cashier was super friendly and polite. This location might just be on the smaller side, which could explain the lighter selection. Never had a problem here shop here every few months. Cashiers and people on the floor are very helpful. I like their products. I just had a story about a cashier named Mia. Christmas/holidays there is so much frantic energy, rushing, driving erratic etc. Had to buy gifts couple days ago. It was crowded-ish, the pkg lot gets full, just park across street at Sprouts. Amazingly at the time of check out there was only one person waiting. My mind is thinking about what i needed to do next etc. I went to Mia's register and i was flustered about how to put my discounts in system. I told her I might have made a mistake I cant tell if it went through etc. She is like the calmest, non bothered human, It was amazing. She said its ok I have a button to push if theres a mistake. (I was so mental).Literally no stress in this little area, and she handled everything, scanned my rewards and packed it up. I know this may sound weird but I told her i appreciated her and the calmness was great and Im putting her in yelp review. When things are all hectic and/or going wrong sometimes theres a break where you can just breathe for a minute. read more

My happy place! Whenever I feel stressed out or miss home (I'm Italian but raised in Germany), I come to World Market and stroll through the aisles. I love the decor items, the furniture pieces, and especially all the food items . I can't leave the store without buying something Today I got Sicilian croissants filled with pistachio cream and potato gnocchi. The selection of wines and other alcoholic beverages from all over the world is fantastic too! World Market is also fantastic if you need a gift for someone. I was in line only one reg open and a Marcie was just chit chatting away with the customer at the reg about a recipe instead of idk maybe opening another register to help die down the line a bit? Then when she walked away I approached her because I saw a sign saying pick up online order here but the reg had all kinds of boxes on top of it and she looked at me with distain and said cashier you have to go to the cashier brushing me off not helping one bit. I'm sorry but if you buy online I shouldn't have to wait in line... then she's just standing around the store not helping anyone. Her demeanor towards me felt very discriminatory because she was very friendly to everyone around me but me. Then the cashier some blonde woman walks up and the cashier just takes her instead of saying there's a line. I should have said something to the woman but I believe in karma but the rep should have said there's a line too and didn't. Worst experience. This location has not gotten any better. If you buy online because you can't find elsewhere go in pick up your order and leave. Don't shop here. You have been warned. With Chanukah approaching I figured I would find a nice assortment of themed items including menorah candles, placemats etc at World Market in Pasadena. To my surprise they had only 1 item (gelt chocolate coins), a few generic blue or white cloth napkins and generic blue candles. It was tucked away in the back on top of a dresser where not even the store employee could find easily. She explained that the small table it was originally on sold and that's why it was on the dresser. For a store that has items from around the globe, they sure didn't impress when it came to what I was looking for. read more

I am still working on my Christmas gift list. So I went to World Market Pasadena branch to look for inspiration. I started my shopping spree trip by walking around the store moving from one area to  another. I began with the  tea section , moved to wine and beer, then food which is my favorite at World Market, followed by kitchen, furniture, body care, candles, kids toys,gift wraps, decorations and women section. I enjoyed the layout of the store. It is very organized. They have a very nice collection of Christmas decorations, pillows, and runners. They also have  a unique selection for women accessories and clothing. The employees are very nice, one of them came to me and asked if I am a member. When I said yes, she gave me a coupon for a free gift wrap. I got many great goodies and bought nice gifts. The real reason why people have told me about Cost Plus World Market is ... Hello Kitty! Yes! Besides furniture, wine, kitchen gadgets, gift wrap, things from around the world, etc., this store has Hello Kitty items! There were plates, cups, candy, journals, sticky notes, wine, pasta sauce, and reusable bags! Right now (December 2019), this Hello Kitty line is 30 percent off! Plus, there's a gift with purchase: a Hello Kitty beanie! So cute! I think I need to go back and get more Christmas gifts! My sisters need those canvas Hello Kitty tote bags! My sister and I went to look for the golden sleigh ticket on a Saturday morning in November. We arrived at 10am and there was a line of people waiting just like us. The code is near any "c" so my sister won the ticket near the chopsticks. The store looked bare of Xmas stuff due to stuff stuck at the port. The staff was nice and kept the aisles and shelves clean. Not a fan of this location. Every time I order something online for pickup, they either get it wrong or the inventory doesn't match and I get a call back saying they don't have the item in stock. The Glendale and Burbank locations are much better customer service-wise as well as the layout and inventory. Skip this location since it sucks all around. Parking is ugly, too! read more

I love Cost Plus World Market for all my home decor. They have unique items that make a space cozy and colorful. This location is a good location. I go frequently. The reason for a 3 star review is two things. I ordered a couch from here and needed help and the associate said she was going to help me and never came back. This is a $800+ purchase you think she would of seen that as points for her store. I ended up purchasing it at Valencia location. Second, I wanted a mirror another time from here and I asked the manager if she can honor my 15% off "pick up" since I was already there present in the store. I also had 50$ worth of rewards from my previous couch purchase. She told me no she can't do that. I took my business to San Dimas location. I think they need to work with customers more and present better customer service. I will still shop here & return. I love the store. read more

I absolutely love Cost Plus and during the year ending holidays that love doubles. This is NOT my local store but, I was in the area shopping stores that pretty much follow the 210 and I somehow spotted this place along my route and added it to my Google map's stops. First thing to impress me was that this store, like others, was spotless and the employees were amazingly professional. If you have never been to a Cost Plus and you are a foodie that likes a bit of everything the world has to offer, this is your place. I have traveled for a living for the last 35 years and I eat a good deal away from the home table... when I find something memorable I jot it down and then, upon my return stateside, I will go to a restaurant that features the cuisines I have enjoyed abroad and ask for that which I have eaten... from time to time I have found the beverages, seasonings and confectionary offerings that had delighted me during my travels, right on the shelves of Cost Plus World Market. I actually came to this store to find the seasonal Bundaberg spiced ginger beer, sadly it had yet to come in. I gambled a couple years ago and bought one 4-pack of it.... I will not make the mistake of only buying one ever again... it so delicious that it is craved all the year long. Although, I didn't find the spiced ginger beer, I did buy the standard one and I also found my favorite seasonal items, such as Walkers Mince Meat tarts and their Rich Fruit Pudding. Another seasonal fav, Kuchenmeister's various flavors of stollen was in stock. I bought 3 different ones. This is also the place where I purchase my Clearly Canadian beverages - which I have not seen routinely stocked in stores since I lived in the greater NYC area. I may not routinely shop this store, due to distance from my home, but PLEASE ... do not let that detract you, as they have great items in every department and an outstanding staff that is willing and ready to provide you the quality service you deserve. I love World market and I've been going to several different ones over the past decades. I can spend hours shopping here for bday & holiday gifts, house decorations, apparel, Kitchen gadgets, wines etc....I didn't realize they now have so much more food products (since COVID?). This store has so much Asian and European selection that it now saves me trips to Marukai and Italy. While I like World Market and their selection of food items, as a handicapped person this store is impossible to get around. The parking spaces are tiny with no extra space provided for getting a wheelchair or scooter in or out of your car. Once inside the aisles are so narrow you could never negotiate them with a chair or scooter. There are no electronic shopping carts. When I was there last week there were at least 12 people in front of me to check out with only 2 cashiers. My cashier told me the manager had only scheduled for 2. Really? 2 weeks before Christmas? I was really suffering having to wait in line about 15 minutes to check out after walking the store without any aid. There is a checkout lane designated for handicapped with a sign that says the lane was to be open at all times. It was closed. I am sure they will not remodel this store because if they do, the City of Pasadena will require them to become ADA compliant. If you have mobility problems avoid this store. read more
