The deli is pretty sizable with sushi, pizza, sandwiches, pasta, for single servings, picnic or a party. It's really awesome! Aisles are nice & wide, stocked, arranged & organized well. I love ORDER. It makes grocery shopping less stressful. Of course, you get what you pay for so prices are at par with Ralph's or Albertsons. Parking is free, plentiful. There's a bakery & they do custom cakes. A small floral dept is located towards the front by the pharmacy. Will highly likely return when Costco or Trader Joe's won't do hahaha The cream cheese & A2 milk were on sale-score! read more

This is a great store and their bakery goods are so tempting and delicious looking that I want to buy almost everything in site. Some of the vegetables and fruit can be on the pricey side but their salad kits are a good value. read more

But, I'm extremely miffed that apparently this location has a policy's whereas they refuse service to customers purchasing 'locked alcohol' bottles after 8:00 pm. We bought a 2.57 Choice Chuck Pot Roast, Boneless last month for $22.65. Today we cooked it. It was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. After cooking it first for 2 hrs, then for an hour more, the meat was tough, chewy, and full of gristle. It tasted like stale cardboard. We are profoundly disappointed. I We are seniors on a fixed income, living with a child with special needs, and now with no dinner. The pot roast was inedible, and we had to throw it away. Get it together guys. This store rocks ; The vegetables are the best in the area( sorry BF) and the store director Nicky is phenomenal! The place is clean , welcoming and bursting with products. What I like most is that the quality of the organic products is superior while keeping a reasonable price ( sorry again BF). Just left Pavillions. We purchased some bad ham at the deli counter. We called to complain and they told us to bring the label of meat. Went in to shop and get refund. Thought it would be easy. Would get refund for bad product easily. They wanted the receipt and meat. I told them I did not have. My husband had talked to some one who said bring in label. Her name was Melissa. Caused a lot of problems because at first they refused. After much discussion I was given a gift certificate. Funny they needed to look at meat to see if more was bad but they never took the label. This is how you lose customers. Rosa the manager was rude and definitely not showing good customer service. My husband and I have gone to pavilions because their workers are great and friendly people. Guess that was a lie. Not sure we will go back. Get good service from Bristol farms Whole Foods and even Ralph's. read more

It's Pavilions, and serves its purpose. I generally find what I need, and if I don't, there's usually someone to help. Yes, sometimes the stocking can be iffy, but that's not all the time. I just had theeee best experience at this store. I called ahead to verify the price of snow crab. David in the Meat Department answered the phone and confirmed the price. Said he'd be there until 10PM. I showed up around 9:15 and not only did David greet me with the warmest smile, he actually told this senior citizen that he was hoping I'd come thru for the crab tonight. Just made me feel pretty darned special. He carefully picked the clusters for me, packaged them well and seemed so very sincere when he said that I was a nice person and he hopes I will shop there again. So, on to the check out line. Orlando (a cashier) patiently assisted me in finding my electronic Vons rewards card on my phone so that I could save about $3 on my purchase. Great customer service all around. Pavilions is a market and was conveniently located close to our lodging. Very clean with nice staff. The store was a bit more upscale than the usual supermarket. They had a pharmacy and the usual grocery items you would find at most markets. They have their own free parking lot and free WiFi read more

Went here when they just reopened again after doing months long of renovation. The store looks so clean and shiny. They are organized pretty good, but maybe a problem with the inventory. So I received a coupon that they sent out to the neighborhood and tried to redeem it. I found the item, confirmed the item, and I ended up couldn't use the coupon because for some reason there's a glitch in the system that when they scanned it, it doesn't really apply it to my purchase.. I feel like what's the purpose on distributing all these coupons to neighborhood if we can't even use it. read more

Ok.... so I'm basing this review on my experience with a liquor manager. So went in not looking for something particular. Just thought they may something interesting since it's Pavillions. Anyhow after looking around I didn't really see anything remarkable but checking out the prices on some other bottles when a liquor manager used the may I help with anything line. I said no, that I was just checking things out. After a little back and forth. I felt like she was really rude and condescending. If she reads this I hope she know Blantons and Eagle Rare are not something that she needs to keep in the back like some type of secret. So stupid. What a joke. Newly remodeled, and reopened. The store looks great. They have totally didn't an interior remodel on this store, along with the exterior. You can now tell the stores apart as Vons is in the next shopping center. The store us clean, bright, and they now offer self checkout which is a major b plus for me. read more

Stopped in on Christmas (I know, I know) to pick up a bouquet of flowers. I can tell that people generally don't want to be working on Christmas morning, but one of the cashiers completely blew off my mother, who was interested in the price of an arrangement being sold. My mom's English isn't great, and she can be a bit timid, so the cashier proceeded to walk all over her and told her gruffly that she "didn't know". I witnessed the ordeal, got in line, and asked the cashier to send someone over to floral if she didn't know the price. Turns out she was fully capable of a price check. I haven't been to this location since before the pandemic. Boy have things changed. This store is beautiful! Shiny wood like floors in the produce and liquor departments. Often my wife and I shop at Pavillions but now they closed down Vons in South Pasadena now we have to shop Pavillions it own by Vons. Pavillions have more items than Vons and better quality of the items they carry. The staff are very friendly and also knowledgeable on the Allie and items. read more

I like this Pavilions location. I had not been here in a very long time, but I stopped recently to shop for some food of a group gathering we were having in the area. I purchased food at the deli and all. Bought some sweets and meats for dinner choices. Pavilions have great deals and coupons on some good products. Nice staff and good store. read more

I typically don't review grocery stores but the remodel on this location is finished. It's very nice inside. The deli/bakery/wine section have an upscale vibe. If you're lucky you may catch a product sample. In addition to self-checkout stations, they've also added a full-service wine & Spirits department where you'll find some impressive high-end labels and weekly tastings. What a horrible and disgusting behavior from the employees here at the self check out line. I'm currently pregnant so I have been sending my husband to the grocery store for me with a long list. They usually don't have very few registers open so we use the self check out when the line is too long. Today my husband was scanning items right next to the employee who was already looking at everything being scanned, no problem, it's her job. Then said there was a weight issue and came over. Ok, sure no problem. Then she proceed to un bag EVERYTHING that was scanned and placed and going thru every single item. My husband told them multiple times that the weight was the produce yet she snatched the other bag and just kept going thru everything. He was treated like a thief, and while he kept repeating that he'd appreciate the employee not touch everything while coughing and check the weight and even offered to take out the stuff himself she kept saying it's ok, we touched it to stock it and just kept grabbing everything despite offering to help take things out to check. If they have time to do all this maybe they should open more registers so we won't have to self check out. He ended up leaving the groceries behind because after checking, there weren't any issues after all but she refused to help put things back or apologize for being so aggressive and rude. After Vons closed down across the street, I was forced to become a shopper here. At first I was a little hesitant because Vons fit my monthly budget almost perfectly. After a few weeks of coming here and buying practically the same stuff, my monthly expenses increased a little but not terribly. I always thought it was strange how there was a Vons and Pavillions right next to one another as they stem from the same line- Pavillions being that of a higher caliber. I came here if I didn't feel like going to Vons, if I couldn't find what I needed at Vons, if I missed the opening for the parking lot of the other as I went down Fair Oaks or if I decided at the very last minute that I should really go grocery shopping before heading home, lol. I usually went at night and wish they had more lanes open as the lines always made me not want to go grocery shopping, ha. (both here and Vons!) Maybe there are future plans on including some self checkout stations? These would really help those who go in for a few things and want to head out in a jiffy. read more

Well, this has been one arduous week! Losing little Mia (my niece's and nephew's little year old yorkie) to something that caused her to hemorrhage... and a worthless vet in which we sought aid for Mia from. To Losing my mom about 3 to 4 months ago to my own difficult health update. Lol I woke up with a obstinate determination to resist bending a knee to the creature that has stolen my lifestyle and the essence of who I am. Lol I digress... So this morning I had a craving for pancakes and for some ungodly reason potatoes ! Yummy I texted my niece's and nephew's next door and asked if they were in the mood for a epic and comfy breakfast! They each said YESSS!!!! So everything was created with care and craftsmanship .... I pulled out the assortment of syrups that range from the epic MRS. BUTTERWORTH to KNOTTS BERRYFARM blue berry as well as strawberry syrup. Lol I am grateful that I had the presence of mind to gather various syrups last week when I found myself wandering through the isles of PAVILION'S. I gathered my needed items for my pantry as well as the needed must haves for the upcoming weekend. My pancakes were light and fluffy and sensationally delicious! I am thankful for the great customer service I've received from their Meat department and their Deli department. What really stood out to me and I thank you once again for is how i was taken care of two Sundays ago. It was morning, my kids wanted Cesar salad for breakfast from pavilions before their game. I stopped by the deli and was kindly greeted by the lady's attending the deli department. I asked if there was any Cesar salad, the lady was so kind and said "it hasn't been made yet but if you give me a few minutes I can get some ready for you." On a Saturday morning in February, I came here to buy a few things. Inside the fruit and vegetables area is always nice and clean. I enjoyed looking at new fruit or vegetables or mushrooms on the log area. The meats area is nicely displayed with helpful meat counter people. The shelves and frozen sections are well stocked. This place is hit and miss. The produce is usually fresh. The meat department and deli have nice selections. You can find almost anything you'll need for any recipe here. But it's more expensive than most supermarkets. They hire too many rude and prejudice people. My entire box of apples was rotten my last visit. It even had half of a red onion in it. Yuck! read more
