Tastings are $25. I don’t think outside food is allowed since they have a restaurant. We never bring in outside food.

If you're not part of their wine club membership, you will be forced to sit in their lawn area--the seats and views are not great and the space is very limited. Meanwhile, their membership area has lounge tables and cooling fans, but it is strictly reserved for members despite it being completely empty at the time. The associates at the wine tasting room were not welcoming nor were they attentive either as they often talked amongst themselves even with patrons around. With how long Miramonte Winery has been around, it's unfortunate to see the service and ambiance go completely downhill. There are plenty of other wineries in Temecula at this point that I would rather visit than to come here again. I strongly suggest going elsewhere if you want to visit a winery with great atmosphere and views. I gave an extra star because the place is not the worst, it looks to be clean, the wine is decent, but the winery itself is far from good nor is it worth your time or money.

Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We were a group of 10 people, and our server was very pushy about ordering the chicken paella and suggested getting two small paellas instead of the large seafood paella we originally wanted. I felt like she was not listening to what our group actually wanted, and the service was not good. The seafood paella was $70, which I expected to be worth the price. Unfortunately, the rice was burned, and there was almost no seafood--just one shell and a very tiny piece of calamari buried in a large amount of rice. The rice tasted like packaged or prepared rice, rather than freshly made paella. We also tried the chicken paella, and it was just as disappointing. There was only one piece of chicken with a large amount of rice, and nobody in our group liked it. Almost everyone at our table had a negative comment about the paella. In the end, we were so disappointed that we left most of the food and threw it away. For $70, I expected a much better-quality dish, especially from a winery restaurant. The should call "RICE PAELLA," Unfortunately, the food and service did not live up to our expectations, and I would not order the paella again.

Honestly, it just felt blah and wasn't what I would typically expect from a winery. Overall, the wine, service, and beautiful surroundings made for an enjoyable visit. The building was filled with flies that kept landing on our heads. The grounds are very nice, with nice views, comfortable outside furniture, and equipped with misters and heaters. The employees were friendly. The food offerings when we were there were very minimal. The crowd was overwhelmingly in their 20's, which if representative is fine, but also telling in terms of the appeal of the wines here to more experienced palates. Speaking of which, we did not really care for any of the reds that we tasted. We did not taste a single wine that we would be interested in buying. They lacked body, balance, and complexity. I should add that the wine tasting room is also the barrel room, yet it was at room temperature. Red wine barrels are supposed to be stored at 55 - 60F, not room temp. All other wineries manage this temperature requirement vigorously. This is most certainly affecting the taste of the final product. I know this place has good reviews, but it just doesn't seem to be up to the standard of some of the nicer wineries in Temecula.

No server in sight I look over to the bar no drinks. So I go up to the Hose stand to ask where our drinks are it appears there might've been a manager there, but they ran away. The host said where are you pointed at our table. Got our server. She came over to let us know that they were waiting on juice. We now have our second course and luckily our drink. I probably would've ordered another cocktail, but it was already 25 minutes into our meal. So I did order finally a glass of wine. To go with our paella. We had a tomato salad with that was lacking in flavor and very underwhelming. The paella comes we have the seafood one. It is hot. It is also overcooked, and I saw no calamari and we had very little seafood. I would say this was not the best paella I have had. Which is unfortunate as my friend kept saying this is the best she ever had when she had been there before. I asked her if she ever had been to café Seville. Where they have what I consider the best paella. But this is also Temecula so I really don't expect much from this area. They were very busy so maybe I just had a bad moment and I hope that that is true and everyone else has a great experience there. I wish a manager had been present to be aware of what was happening on the floor during a possible breakfast to lunch transition

I recently had a truly disappointing experience at Altisima Winery, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. My family and I have been loyal members of Altisima Winery since they first opened their doors. We've always enjoyed bringing our kids along and spending quality time on the patio and in the grassy area. However, our most recent visit for a friend's 40th birthday celebration left a sour taste in our mouths. To start with, I made a reservation for lunch well in advance and never received any indication that there might be an issue with having children present. When we arrived and spent over $800 on food and wine, we were repeatedly bombarded with complaints about our kids being on the premises. The staff's attitude was not only rude but also disrespectful. After lunch, we decided to relax with a glass of wine and take in the beautiful view while capturing some memorable pictures. Shockingly, we were confronted by three separate individuals who told us our kids needed to leave the area. In fact, their suggestion was for the kids to sit out in front of the winery by themselves! This was not only unacceptable but also completely unsafe. I understand that Altisima Winery may want to create a more adult-oriented atmosphere, but the way they handled the situation was nothing short of appalling. Their approach to addressing the presence of children was utterly embarrassing and humiliating. I had previously recommended this winery to our friends, but after this experience, I can confidently say that I have no desire to return to Altisima Winery ever again. In conclusion, Altisima Winery's treatment of us, loyal customers of many years, was unacceptable. Their lack of professionalism and their disrespectful approach to dealing with children on their premises has tarnished my view of this establishment. I sincerely hope they reconsider their policies and learn to treat their customers with the respect they deserve. Until then, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Altisima Winery to anyone. read more

There's a nice variety, and the quality has noticeably gone up, making for an overall better tasting experience. That said, the service is still a weak spot. The staff is often cold and unwelcoming, which takes away from the experience. It feels more transactional than inviting, which is disappointing for a winery with such a great setting. One thing to note--they are NOT kid-friendly. If you're planning to bring children along, this is not the place. Some wineries are more accommodating, but this one clearly leans toward an adults-only vibe. The atmosphere is beautiful, making it a nice spot for wine tasting, but with the lackluster service and unwelcoming vibe, there are better options in the area. read more

My husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely in Temecula Valley this past Memorial Day, booking Altisima's Tour Elevado ahead of time. We learned about the area and land, the vines, winemaking, trying an almost ready wine, and then sitting out on the balcony drinking five of their good wines paired with five tasty cheeses and the most yummy fig-jalapeño jam (with surprisingly no bite/heat to it!). Extraordinary views! Their Muscato took us by surprise as we generally do not like them but this one is not super sweet and more flavorful. A bottle came home with us:) Ty was our personable and experienced guide throughout the tour - a keeper! The winery is only a one hour scenic drive from San Diego and it was well worth it. Plus, there is a loop of 40+ wineries in this valley and lots of horse farms if you want to spend more time up there. But Altisima had top notch service and is known as having one of three best restaurants. read more

Altísima Winery is a beautiful spot with great wine and an overall enjoyable atmosphere. The views and setting alone make it worth the visit, and the tasting experience was relaxed and well-paced. A big highlight of our visit was Jay. He was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. Jay took the time to explain the wines, answer questions, and made sure our group felt taken care of throughout the experience. His professionalism and positive energy really elevated the visit. While there's always room for small improvements, the quality of the wine and the service we received--especially from Jay--made for a very good experience overall. We came by 11 am to enjoy the music and enjoy some good company. Unfortunately the umbrella that we got was badly accommodated and it kept turning sideways giving shade to everyone around our group except where we were sitting. We were a big group with kids. I tried to accommodate it myself to not bother anyone since I have the same umbrella at home. They sent a security guard to tell me not to touch the umbrella. I told them I knew what was wrong with it and they didn't care. They they called the managers and one guy named "Elliot" came to tell me I couldn't touch the umbrella. This winery is AMAZING. The customer service alone is enough to make you want to come back. My husband and I joined the wine club due to the amazing service Connor gave us in the tasting room the first time we visited the winery. Fast forward to our experience yesterday we were possibly going to be late for our reservation and Aspen helped tremendously and was very kind on the phone. When we got to the winery of course it was packed and busy but Amber (hostess) was so sweet and accommodating. Michele was our server in the lounge and checked in on our party several times to make sure we didn't need anything and was so sweet. Especially for the manager Crystal, she is so nice, she is smilling all the time and she is taking care of the customer. I went to the gala too and everything was amazing. I am already married but I recommend this place for a wedding or any other events. The staff is nice, the food is really good and the place is so cute and perfect for a instagram post! We had the BEST experience at Altisima Winery thanks to our waiter Jay! From the moment we sat down, he was completely on top of everything--attentive without being overbearing, quick with every request, and genuinely kind the entire time. Jay made us feel so welcome and taken care of, like we were his top priority even though the place was busy. Our glasses were never empty, everything came out perfectly timed, and he had such a warm, friendly energy that made the whole experience even more special. Altisima Winery is one of my favorites and is a staple in my family and friend group! The wine is great, and if it's not too crowded and you can snag a seat on the lawn, it's the best. My friend is a member so when I go with her it's always a treat to be in the members only lounge. On hot days we get the blended sangria's and they even have beer for any of the non wine drinkers of the group. The restaurant is also AMAZING and has such great food to choose from. I got the steak frites and will probably get them every time. The days with live music outside are such a vibe, and I could sit there all day. read more

I recently visited Altísima Winery and was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. Nestled in the rolling hills, this place is a true escape from the everyday. Ty was absolutely amazing! He led our wine tasting for my bachelorette, and he truly made the experience unforgettable. He was so kind, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about every wine we tried. Date: 3/22/24 Ambiance: it was raining the day I attended the winery but the ambiance was nice. Open environment you can hear everyone's convo and laughter. Price: $$$ Charcuterie board $35 Bread $10 Service; below par. It was raining. Leo is an asshole waiter. He follower me around and assured I couldn't put my board down. When I finally did my drink was removed, it was a full glass. The concierge star also a bitch. Management really needs to purge staff. Connor made our afternoon! He was a wealth of knowledge for tasting notes and new vintage releases, was friendly and fun, and helped us navigate our wine pickups with whatever substitutions we wanted (definitely a selling point for Altisima's wine club!). We let him know we had a lunch reservation across the street, and he got us in and out efficiently, while also making sure we got the most of our membership perks. We came back after lunch! Altisima Winery in Temecula wine country provided a wonderful experience for an early lunch on the Memorial Day holiday. Our waitress, Shanice, was friendly, patient and professional. She was the highlight, as well as the food. Try the parmesan fries and grilled cheese sandwich - THE BEST! The view and outdoor ambiance is incredible. Overall, the winery is very classy. It's a nice addition to our Temecula wine country and is a recommended stop along anyone's wine tasting route. read more

I visited Altisima Winery recently and was really impressed by the whole experience. It's a gorgeous winery with a restaurant and a beautiful patio for listening to live music. What really stood out for me was my interactions with Charlene during my tasting. She was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines. We then discovered that there are no food servers-you have to order food at the bar and then someone eventually delivers it in phases. Plastic hardware, condiment packages.
