This is one of the new wineries in Temecula. We joined about two months ago.. We have enjoyed the wine and the restaurant. Today is their Grand Opening. There are tables on the lawn and a band is playing. Today, there are outside vendors with tapas, paella and proshuto (sp?, It's ham). Also, we found some tiny cheesecake. I luv the contemporary décor of this winery, high ceilings and all. I like that the tasting room is the first area upon entering (to the right). There is a tiny gift shop to the left. The restaurant is past double doors which lead to the patio. The brulee cheesecake was a treat! It was served with ice cream, and it was immediate service. Keep in mind you may need to park higher up as the weekends are usually impacted. read more

We've been members here since their first year and have brought many friends and family and always had a wonderful time. The first big issue is price creep - every time we come the food prices are higher - I understand food cost but this is just greed. Not only the ridiculous prices but quality has gone downhill fast and portion sizes are tiny. Literally everything on the menu has taken a huge quality hit - the grilled cheese sandwich used to be legendary and now it's a sad grilled cheese and ham on crappy bread for $24??? No thanks. Wines are always above average for Temecula Wine Country but way too expensive. We are cancelling our membership and will not be back unless things improve. We do NOT recommend Altisima to anyone in it's current state... awful and a shame. Just money grabbing wine tourism. read more

I joined this winery last November because I was having such a great time at my friend's birthday. When I told my husband later, he just rolled his eyes and asked, "Another one?" I assured him that if he wasn't impressed with the winery, I'd cancel just cancel the membership after we picked up our next shipment. He was so impressed, he was all in for staying a member. Yesterday, I picked up our shipment by myself because my husband wasn't available to go before the last pick-up date. I ended up tasting by myself, and had a grand time people watching, eating the yummy cheese board, and enjoying every single wine I tasted. I ended up adding three bottles to my shipment. I'm only sad because the last time my husband and I went, we brought our little allergy-free dog. Everyone was fine with her then (she's 13 pounds), but I see they have changed their dog policy. I completely understand why dogs, especially large dogs with fur would not be allowed in the tasting rooms, but I'm hoping the grassy and other outside areas would be okay for the smaller dogs. read more

Beautiful winery setting. Picking up wine on Sunday, seemed complicated when I had to update credit card. Apparently they had just been trained on it the day before first time having to do it. I had to fill another form, the staff was very nice but thought it was weird that it took so long for an update. Hopefully the process will get easier. read more

We went to a total of three wineries and Altisima was our favorite due to the best service we received in their tasting room by TY. He gave us such individualized attention and really helped us navigate the menu more than any other winery we went to. We were so appreciative of it and my husband and I wished we could be friends with him - we loved him so much! We also agreed that their wine tasted better to us than the other two wineries we visited. In addition, they have a restaurant and beautiful views. You can't go wrong checking this place out. p.s. What a wonderful new addition to the De Portola trail! No expense was spared at this gorgeous winery. When you arrive at the entrance there is a beautiful fountain. The entrance has high ceilings and is very bright and airy. As you walk into the restaurant there are beautiful contemporary style dining booths and tables outside with panoramic views of the grounds. We sat outside for a light lunch and tried the burrata. It was very creamy and came with toasted baguette. Our server was lovely and very attentive. We also had the opportunity to do a wine tasting earlier at the members only tasting room. What a wonderful experience! Loved the fireplace and the decor was very welcoming. The glass opens up behind the tasting bar offering amazing views of the property. The outside area is equally as stunning. Very comfortable seating areas. I especially loved the swing chairs there are also a few high top tables as well. Now for my review of the wine. I'm a red drinker and I must say they are spectacular! I tried the flight of reds and all were wonderful. I especially loved the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, Lucindo and La Reina. As far as the reserves Enamorado was my all time favorite. I loved it so much I ordered a full glass. lol. We also ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer to go along with our tasting, which I highly recommend. It had a nice selection of various cheese, dried fruits and meats. You must ask for the honey comb side it goes great with the crostini. The presentation was so beautiful it looked too pretty to eat. We were so hungry we couldn't resist and devoured everything on the board. lol Let me end by saying I have traveled to Temecula often and have visited most of their wineries. Altisma is now my new favorite. Everything is top notch notch here. From the beautiful tasting rooms, splendid wines, gourmet food and welcoming staff. I will certainly be making a return visit, and referring Altisma to everyone who visits Temecula wine country. lol read more

What can I say except- it's fantastico! From their mango slushy to their yummy fried calamares, OH- EM-GHEE all the way!! The charcuterie board has great selections of cheeses, fruits and nuts- the only thing we didnt like is the baguette- it was super hard and my mom and aunt couldn't chew it (still okay, though-l). Service was great- Xavier was excellent! Beautiful scenery and it was just a gorgeous day to be in the winery- I don't mind the overcast. We did not know what to expect; we were a large group and had a Holiday Friends Reunion at Altisima winery. From the parking attendant Marcos that greeted us and made us feel very welcome to our server Bailey C, she was very professional and patient as she took all our orders. I loved the food, the selection of wines, and the ambiance. We started having brunch there around 12 a.m. and enjoyed wine tasting with a beautiful view of the valley until Sunset. We went here with a party of eight adults and two infants on a windy cold rainy day. We walked in and were initially told inside was a two hour wait- we ventured out into the patio and there was a table available for us. With heat lamps it was doable but when I noticed they were all taken already the hostess actually told us that a table had opened up and offered it to us which was so kind. We got a few bottles which were all amazing- their muscat was my favorite! We also had lunch there and everyone enjoyed the food- upscale American and super delicious. The waitresses are attentive and checked on us several times throughout our lunch. The view outside is amazing and the patio is beautiful- if it were warmer we would have definitely opted to sit outside. Will definitely be back!! read more

The drive into this beautiful winery was amazing. Altisima had a Spanish vibe in wine and food with a modern ambience. My sister and I enjoyed the muscat and white merlot. The muscat was our favorite. Chelsea was our waitress. She was pleasant and we enjoyed her service. Another gentleman in a suit came over and greeted our table which was nice as well. The food was delicious. We indulged on a cheese board, the chicken sandwich and the house burger. All of the food was fresh and tasty but that burger was ABSOLUTELY perfect! Members lounge on second floor provides great ambience and atmosphere to enjoy the view and small finger food with your wine. Menu for Main restaurant provides great items, including excellent appetizers. Absolutely packed on Saturdays and Sundays with very little room to move. Highly recommend reservations for members to enjoy the restaurant. Sadly, only downfall is, members may not order any items from the main menu. French bread baguette with a variety of cheeses, and very limited items for members on the second floor. Management should consider allowing members to have full access to appetizers on the menu. Staff is friendly and professional, facilities are clean - Parking is adequate. read more

Visited this winery for a day of wine tasting. We purchased 5 tastings for $30, a good deal. They also had sangria tastings but we did not realize until we were inside. The seating area is first come first serve but it had amazing views. The parking lot was very spacious and easy to find a spot. We did try the food including the bread and butter, fries and churros. Everything was very delicious but I wish they had more options to choose from. All bartenders were friendly and provided great customer service. read more
