The service and the ambiance is great. Shout out to Jim who drives the golf cart. We came on a busy day and he helped us get to the winery since it's a far walk. If it wasn't for Jim we'll all burn up from the walk. Definitely a place to check out. Another gentleman helped us set up a much needed umbrella for shade, amazing. We went here on a holiday weekend without a reservation, which we now know is a no-no. We were able to finally figure out we could sit at the bar after a lot of mixed signals from the hostesses. We had a really lovely attentive server named Laura who was helpful, apologetic, and quick to serve us. We did try reserve garnacha (oddly sweet for a dry red), white merlot (a good sweet balance), muscat (an okay sweet wine, had better muscats before) and the peach mint sangria (very little mint, tasted like a very sweet candy peach ring). Though we weren't super impressed by the drinks, the food was 10/10. The California chicken sandwich was amazing and the fries portion was good. The Altisima burger was good, but not as good as the chicken sandwich. The food might have been worth the over hour wait for it because we loved it. We did get to walk around outside and it's a beautiful spot. It overlooks the valley, there's loud music, and several walk up bars. I want to do a tasting here because they have such a big wine selection and hopefully have a better experience next time. read more

This is an excellent winery with great wines and sparkling wines. The food is amazing and is one of the best in the Temecula Valley. The service is outstanding and very customer focused. We are Wine Club Onyx members. The views are outstanding. This is an adult winery. Reading other reviews, noted some people being critical in the reviews regarding kids, well there is not really anything for kids to do other than sit and eat. It is not for running around and the grounds do lend itself for that. Any small kids running around unsupervised would be disruptive if the other guests and there is a drop off where small kids really need "sober" adult supervision. In fact, I have hardly seen small kids here anyway. The service and workers have always been respectful and friendly. This is an outstanding winery! I took my family, a group of 8, with vary different and distinct personalities with very different wine preferences and we all had a BALL! Miguel was our host for the tour, who really MADE the whole experience. He was so fun and we are so grateful for an amazing, private experience. Really not worth the money. The Cesar salad was $19.00, had minimum dressing on it and after asking for more, were never brought any. The tuna was fine, nothing great. The burger was dry (ordered medium) and not a lot of flavor. Really wouldn't recommend spending your money here. read more

I luv the contemporary décor of this winery, high ceilings and all. I like that the tasting room is the first area upon entering (to the right). There is a tiny gift shop to the left. The restaurant is past double doors which lead to the patio. The brulee cheesecake was a treat! It was served with ice cream, and it was immediate service. Keep in mind you may need to park higher up as the weekends are usually impacted. read more

This was our first stop on our winery tour - the views definitely do not disappoint! The wine was not our favorite but don't let that steer you away, it is totally a matter of preference. We told them it was our first winery visit ever and that we were celebrating our anniversary and all we got was "okay you can do your tasting inside or outside"... compared to other wineries who gave us glasses on the house, walked us through our tastings and went above and beyond... I definitely did not feel at home here and wanted to do a tasting and get out and on to the next! The tasting experience itself was not the best, it was really nice to be able to go sit out on "the green" and had a nice casual atmosphere but the "experience" was subpar. We heard one of the wine experts saying that they are currently sick, which was just weird to say to customers and we did not really get any explanations of the wine that we chose. They would pour our glass, mark our ticket, and we would be waiting for some details but never got any. Maybe it's because we look young and only there for the tasting, but we felt pretty overlooked it didn't feel like what we were looking for! Was pretty disappointed. I'm glad we went to experience the newest winery on the de portola wine trail but would skip this next time. read more

We came here as a last stop of 3 wineries and so glad we saved the best for last. Although we didn't get to make reservations, we were able to grab a table that was open and enjoy a couple bottles of wine and a charcuterie plate. Definitely lots of open space and ambiance is loud on a Saturday afternoon but of course, everyone is just having a great time enjoying the weather and company. I went back in May with about 9 friends and we loved it. Highly recommend! read more

We've been members here since their first year and have brought many friends and family and always had a wonderful time. The first big issue is price creep - every time we come the food prices are higher - I understand food cost but this is just greed. Not only the ridiculous prices but quality has gone downhill fast and portion sizes are tiny. Literally everything on the menu has taken a huge quality hit - the grilled cheese sandwich used to be legendary and now it's a sad grilled cheese and ham on crappy bread for $24??? No thanks. Wines are always above average for Temecula Wine Country but way too expensive. We are cancelling our membership and will not be back unless things improve. We do NOT recommend Altisima to anyone in it's current state... awful and a shame. Just money grabbing wine tourism. read more

Came here for a girls day out . Food was delicious we had 3 samplers: cauliflower, calamari & Brussels all of it was surprisingly yummy! I ordered the salmon sandwich with arugula salad. I wanted to love this winery. The property is gorgeous with a great view! However, the bathrooms were completely devoid of toilet paper at noon despite that were several employees working at the restaurant that had maybe 4 tables. The bartender at the wine bar seemed to struggle with the basics of hospitality. We are frequent visitors to Temecula wine country have have been wine club members at several different wineries But we weren't even told about the wine club until we asked, no conversation about the property or winemaker or the owner(s?) vision or how they wanted to execute it. Just poured 5 tastings and charged for it during the second glass, wtf? There are way too many wineries in Temecula with impeccable service and hospitality with great wines. We did not know what to expect; we were a large group and had a Holiday Friends Reunion at Altisima winery. From the parking attendant Marcos that greeted us and made us feel very welcome to our server Bailey C, she was very professional and patient as she took all our orders. I loved the food, the selection of wines, and the ambiance. We started having brunch there around 12 a.m. and enjoyed wine tasting with a beautiful view of the valley until Sunset. We were invited here by friends. So thankful because it was a great experience. We enjoyed their wine and stayed for lunch. I must add that the winery is Altisima but the restaurant is labeled as "Gaspar's at the vineyard" I say this because Gaspars does not come up on the search yet. For a smaller restaurant we were amazed with the service on a weekday. It was somewhat busy but our wait staff were all very attentive and pleasant. I came here on a girls winery trip for the day and it was wonderful. My best friend and I said we would definitely come again with other friends. We didn't get to try any of the food in the restaurant but we did get a charcuterie board and some small chocolates and which were quite tasty.
