Disappointing update: We ended up joining Altisima. Although the wines were just so-so, we did enjoy the upper members area, Taco Tuesday, and several friends were also members. But a number of things have happened to sour my opinion and we'll be dropping our membership once our 1 year commitment is up. In all the times we've visited now, we've only had ONE server who has been pleasant...and this is in the members area! No one ever remotely recognizes you - they always ask to see ID, which I suppose I understand, but more importantly, they all seem disengaged and not very happy to be there. Literally right after we joined, they reduced the particular red wines that you could choose from for your free glasses and unfortunately, it included the wine we had previously enjoyed! We used to like Taco Tuesday, especially bringing our grandchildren who loved to sit in the grassy area and listen to the music while enjoying tacos. However, this weekly event has become extremely crowded with insanely loud music. Worst of all for us at least, they've now made the winery strictly 21+ over. I totally understand it with the members area, but am disappointed about the lower grassy area also being off-limits to well-behaved kids. Several times now, the members area has been closed for private events and on a recent visit, it was open BUT a large private party was also going on in the upper outside members area, with TONS of little children running around, constantly coming in and out of the hard-to-open, loud doors between the indoor and outdoor areas! When I inquired that I thought this was now a 21+ facility, I was told that it was, but this was a private party. So I'm guessing they received complaints about the members area not being open when they have all these private events, so they decided to try to do both...not very well at all in my opinion. While supposedly 21+ everywhere except Gaspar's where it's stated you may bring "seated" children only, this "strictly 21+" policy is obviously not that strict! I expect more when I join a winery. I want to feel welcomed in a beautiful space, enjoy good wine, food, and entertainment and be able to bring friends who are welcomed in the same manner. I basically WANT to visit this special place on a regular basis. Very sadly, I don't feel Altisima is fulfilling their end of the bargain. I'm repeatedly hearing that unless you're an Onyx member spending $500/ quarter, don't expect any special treatment. All of our close friends who joined there have left or will be leaving soon. One of the initial appeals of Altisima was the beautiful views from the upper member area but frankly, there are so many other wineries in this area with gorgeous views AND stellar wines, that this aspect alone is just not enough. read more

Second time here and it did not disappoint! We did a wine tasting and it was awesome! Joe was our man and he gave us great suggestions and good pours! We were able to walk around the grounds with our wine. Did I mention all the seating and views! Sorry no pics you'll just have to go see! We also got dinner here and it was good! We had such a great experience at Altisima Winery, and a huge part of that was thanks to Cami and Joe. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel welcomed and at ease. They were not only knowledgeable about the wines (and very persuasive in getting us to seriously consider the membership!), but also incredibly personable. What really stood out was how naturally the conversation flowed--full of genuine laughs, smiles, and even a hilarious moment that turned into a running inside joke about "knowing people" and respecting personal space. It's rare to have that kind of fun, easy rapport with staff at a tasting, but Joe and Cami nailed it. Altisima was already a beautiful spot, but the experience was made even better by their warmth and humor. We left smiling and already planning our next visit. read more

Thursday night is the night to hit this beautiful winery with incredible mountain views! They have so many fun vendors for Christmas shopping, getting that perfect birthday gift, or browsing for future ideas! I love the grassy grounds with plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture, and umbrellas to shade from the sun. If you remember, you can upgrade to the second story lounge for views! I like that the indoor tasting room is quite large if you prefer to stay out of the sun. I've eaten twice at the restaurant, and the food is truly amazing! I had the blackened salmon sandwich with truffle fries, and my friend had the shrimp tapas with potatoes on the side. Every bite was so delicious, but the portions are so large we couldn't finish it! I am a big fan of the mango Froze! Liz, our server, was as polite as could be and turned down the heater when we told her we were roasting! Ask for her section! The gift shop does a nice job of providing some unique jewelry and clothing items! They have a really great selection of hats as well! read more

Went here on a Saturday afternoon to eat at their restaurant Gaspar's. We were a party of 6 and they seated us after a 15 minute wait. I was pleasantly surprised at how short the wait was. Their outdoor restaurant seating is beautiful. The view is amazing and the live music was perfect, not too loud, so still enjoyable & able to hear when conversing! As a member I want to give this 5 star review for an employee that might get overlooked on the avg day to day visit, but nonetheless is also an integral part of the winery experience. I am speaking of Marcos who is the parking attendant at Altisima. He is always, friendly, cordial, and willing to assist in anyway to make parking at this very busy winery as painless and accommodating as possible. We drive varied vehicles from our Harley to our very large truck, Marcos always greets us with a smile and lets us know where the best place to park is based on the vehicle we brought, and yes whether it was freshly washed. He is an asset to your winery setting the tone for your upcoming experience. He is definitely the right man for the job! read more

First visit to this gorgeous winery for a self care and sunsets event. The Pilates studio I attend sponsored a free pilates class with one of my favorite instructors and I wanted to support. The views and aesthetics were breathtaking! The staff were very attentive and provided outstanding customer service. My daughter and I wanted mock tails and one of the lovely bartenders went out of her way to make sure we were happy with what she created for us. There were lots of vendors selling clothing, jewelry , miscellaneous accessories and food. I went home and raved so much about this winery that my husband is looking into becoming a member so we can experience more of what they have to offer. Definitely looking forward to going back. read more

I've been coming to Altisima for years. I love the views and I love the service. Angeline is amazing! However I've noticed the menu changing over the years due to changes in the chef position. When Altisima first opened the menu was amazing! I loved every dish. Now, the menu is disappointing. The steak entree used to be fairly priced and delicious. The steak entree now is over priced for a very small portion. Also, the calamari was $20+ and it was barely enough to feed 4 people. The Brussel sprouts were uninspiring. Bring back chef Jason's menu please! I gave 3 stars instead of two because Angeline was the saving grace! read more

Nice, newer winery in Temecula. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. The service was good and t was nice inside, although a little boring. The outside was full so we stood inside at the bar so maybe that was why it was a bit boring. The gentleman helping us was very nice and knew a good deal about the wine. Breathtaking! The "New Kid on the Block" has made a dramatic statement when it comes to the winery experience, with an extremely modern and decadent decor to say the least! At first glance you are overwhelmed by the expansive tasting room; then the huge and formal dining room; followed by the gigantic terrace with a 180 degree view of the valley! And there is still more to come....On the second floor (reachable by elevator) you will find the member's area and VIP room with its own service area, spectacular view, and cosy fireplace for an amazing ambience. After absorbing all the visual effects of the estate....I attempted to focus on the wine offerings and the subtle tasting notes of the various varietals that adorned their menu. Concentrating on my favorites reds and whites, my wife and I began our evaluation. We discovered that their wines were adequate for the Temecula Valley, and not on an even par with the amount effort they have expended on the property, decor, forthcoming hotel, etc. I didn't have an opportunity to sample the restaurant menu but some of the entres looked incredibly delicious, and I intend to dine during my next visit. Considering membership based solely on the property, and the potential for entertaining guests. read more

Hands down one of the best restaurants with great food in Temecula. Is a little pricy but very worth it. We became members on the first time there. And come very often. The winery is in a beautiful hill with gorgeous views. Everyone is so nice and accommodating when you are a member. This winery has one of the most beautiful views. Listening to live music + sipping on wine= good times! This winery has a great selection of wines and the service is for the most part, prompt. Each time we've come, we've had such a wonderful time. The food is always delicious and their variety of wines are superb. We recently came and brought new friends and they loved it. I understand that a larger group can be a bit overwhelming for the servers so we always try to commend them and thank them for their patience. This time it was Luke and like all Leoness staff, he was attentive, patient and knowledgeable. We asked him about his favorite wines and his recommendations were great! Wineries always have such a relaxing ambiance and beautiful atmosphere. Leoness is no exception and actually an exemplary winery when it comes to customer service. These are a little lighter than most Port or Port-style and Late Harvest dessert wines. Each tasting comes with a small package of baked bread sticks or gourmet chips for wine clique members, and recently they've offered pre-made charcuterie trays. I always preface my winery reviews by saying that wine tasting is subjective to the individual's palate, service is not. The wines I like/dislike, you may hate/love. That completely missed the point. I wasn't just looking to order dessert--I was trying to create a meaningful celebration experience for a large party. What disappointed me most was the lack of care or effort. There was no attempt to accommodate, no suggestions, no sense that they valued the occasion--or even their customers. As a wine club member, I expected at least a little more attentiveness. I ultimately canceled my reservation, and the response was completely indifferent. I also canceled my membership shortly after, which again didn't seem to matter to them. It was honestly shocking how little customer service was shown. For a place that markets itself as an experience, I expected far more--especially for a milestone celebration. He also explained the bottling process to us. After the tour, we returned to the tasting area where we met Kyle. He was doing a great job managing a bachelorette party. Both Kyle and Hunter kept it light and professional. The vineyard offered a great deal on a case of wine. Luckily, we drove out so we have a case to take home. I would recommend this place.

I recently had a truly disappointing experience at Altisima Winery, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. My family and I have been loyal members of Altisima Winery since they first opened their doors. We've always enjoyed bringing our kids along and spending quality time on the patio and in the grassy area. However, our most recent visit for a friend's 40th birthday celebration left a sour taste in our mouths. To start with, I made a reservation for lunch well in advance and never received any indication that there might be an issue with having children present. When we arrived and spent over $800 on food and wine, we were repeatedly bombarded with complaints about our kids being on the premises. The staff's attitude was not only rude but also disrespectful. After lunch, we decided to relax with a glass of wine and take in the beautiful view while capturing some memorable pictures. Shockingly, we were confronted by three separate individuals who told us our kids needed to leave the area. In fact, their suggestion was for the kids to sit out in front of the winery by themselves! This was not only unacceptable but also completely unsafe. I understand that Altisima Winery may want to create a more adult-oriented atmosphere, but the way they handled the situation was nothing short of appalling. Their approach to addressing the presence of children was utterly embarrassing and humiliating. I had previously recommended this winery to our friends, but after this experience, I can confidently say that I have no desire to return to Altisima Winery ever again. In conclusion, Altisima Winery's treatment of us, loyal customers of many years, was unacceptable. Their lack of professionalism and their disrespectful approach to dealing with children on their premises has tarnished my view of this establishment. I sincerely hope they reconsider their policies and learn to treat their customers with the respect they deserve. Until then, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Altisima Winery to anyone. read more

My husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely in Temecula Valley this past Memorial Day, booking Altisima's Tour Elevado ahead of time. We learned about the area and land, the vines, winemaking, trying an almost ready wine, and then sitting out on the balcony drinking five of their good wines paired with five tasty cheeses and the most yummy fig-jalapeño jam (with surprisingly no bite/heat to it!). Extraordinary views! Their Muscato took us by surprise as we generally do not like them but this one is not super sweet and more flavorful. A bottle came home with us:) Ty was our personable and experienced guide throughout the tour - a keeper! The winery is only a one hour scenic drive from San Diego and it was well worth it. Plus, there is a loop of 40+ wineries in this valley and lots of horse farms if you want to spend more time up there. But Altisima had top notch service and is known as having one of three best restaurants. read more

We came by 11 am to enjoy the music and enjoy some good company. Unfortunately the umbrella that we got was badly accommodated and it kept turning sideways giving shade to everyone around our group except where we were sitting. We were a big group with kids. I tried to accommodate it myself to not bother anyone since I have the same umbrella at home. They sent a security guard to tell me not to touch the umbrella. I told them I knew what was wrong with it and they didn't care. They they called the managers and one guy named "Elliot" came to tell me I couldn't touch the umbrella. My husband and I joined the wine club due to the amazing service Connor gave us in the tasting room the first time we visited the winery. Fast forward to our experience yesterday we were possibly going to be late for our reservation and Aspen helped tremendously and was very kind on the phone. When we got to the winery of course it was packed and busy but Amber (hostess) was so sweet and accommodating. I went a lot of times at altisima winery. Everything is so nice and beautiful. We went to celebrate our 1st anniversary with my husband in june 2021 and since that this winery is my favorite place in temecula. Especially for the manager Crystal, she is so nice, she is smilling all the time and she is taking care of the customer. I went to the gala too and everything was amazing. I am already married but I recommend this place for a wedding or any other events. The staff is nice, the food is really good and the place is so cute and perfect for a instagram post! From the moment we sat down, he was completely on top of everything--attentive without being overbearing, quick with every request, and genuinely kind the entire time. Jay made us feel so welcome and taken care of, like we were his top priority even though the place was busy. I recently visited Altísima Winery and was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. Nestled in the rolling hills, this place is a true escape from the everyday. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautiful panoramic view of the vineyards. Connor made our afternoon! He was a wealth of knowledge for tasting notes and new vintage releases, was friendly and fun, and helped us navigate our wine pickups with whatever substitutions we wanted (definitely a selling point for Altisima's wine club!). We let him know we had a lunch reservation across the street, and he got us in and out efficiently, while also making sure we got the most of our membership perks. We came back after lunch! Altisima has become one of the best wineries around and we can't wait for our next visit. read more

We decided to spend lunch at Altisima Winery today, and as Onyx members, the experience is always top-tier. This visit was especially exceptional because Connor took it to another level. He was attentive, detail-oriented, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. On top of that, his personality was warm, engaging, and genuinely elevated our entire afternoon. We had such a great experience at Altisima Winery, and a big part of that was thanks to our waiter, Jay! As Onyx members, we always look forward to our visits, and Jay truly made this one stand out. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. His warm personality and genuine hospitality made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Altisima Winery in Temecula wine country provided a wonderful experience for an early lunch on the Memorial Day holiday. Our waitress, Shanice, was friendly, patient and professional. She was the highlight, as well as the food. Try the parmesan fries and grilled cheese sandwich - THE BEST! The view and outdoor ambiance is incredible. Overall, the winery is very classy. It's a nice addition to our Temecula wine country and is a recommended stop along anyone's wine tasting route. read more

I visited Altisima Winery recently and was really impressed by the whole experience. It's a gorgeous winery with a restaurant and a beautiful patio for listening to live music. What really stood out for me was my interactions with Charlene during my tasting. She was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines. She walked me through the wine list, listened to my likes/dislikes and made great recommendations. I'll definitely be visiting Altisima again. read more
