Children allowed in restaurant. Stop by wall mural for a cute photo op

Altisima Winery / Gaspar's Restaurant is consistently a fantastic experience. The serving staff is exceptional - JT, Mike M, and Angeline are all wonderful (honestly not a bad one in the bunch). The outdoor patio is beautiful, with stunning rolling hill views and endless blue skies that make you want to linger for hours. Food is excellent across the board - the Spanish grilled cheese and truffle fries are perfect if you're feeling indulgent, while the braised beef with garlic mashed potatoes is incredibly satisfying. Pro tip: stop by the tasting room before eating. Jay and Ty, longtime wine servers at Altisima, make the experience especially fun and welcoming.

Four jars of juice for $32.

Went to Altisma today with a member for a nice birthday lunch. I ordered the $32 mimosa flight, and it was four somewhat large jars of warm fruit juice, with basically undetectable sparkling wine. I had a conversation with the server, and she was not helpful at all. Basically asked me if I wanted to order something else. Did not offer to fix it. I wanted the mimosa flight that I've been looking forward to. I ended up ordering TWO MORE glasses of sparkling wine (one of which was totally flat) to try to make mimosas, and I still had flat juice with a mild wine taste. What kind of winery does not know how to mix a mimosa? That was annoying, but then we got our food. The "tomato soup" tasted like very thick (the spoon stands up in it) pasta sauce that was uncomfortably spicy. No difference between the tomato soup and pasta sauce I had on my seafood pasta. My dad, who never complains about anything, said his tomato soup was too spicy to eat. We asked the server to bring us some cream or something to cut the soup, and she did so, which was helpful. I poured the leftovers on my pasta to eat later. The fish of the day, seabass, was overcooked, but the risotto was decent. All this to say, when you pay a little extra, you expect decent quality. Altisima does not seem to care. If it weren't for my friend's membership, I would never go to Altisima again.

This review is for the food. This was my first time here and was sadly highly disappointed by the sea bass dish. It was overcooked, causing it to be so dry, and it was very salty with some bites. I only ended up maybe eating half of it, unfortunately, due to needing substance. My drink was tasty, but a little too sweet. I got the peach and mint sangria. The service, on the hand, was great and everyone was so nice and friendly. The view was also nice. The patio area we were sitting in had a nice view, however, it was a little chilly out.

Came to visit the winery on a Sunday morning to celebrate some birthdays, and we went upstairs to have glasses of champagne and enjoy the views. We had previously had lunch and drinks during the weekend and so we decided to just out for drinks upstairs in the members lounge, although we would've liked to have had food served upstairs. Our overall experience with the winery has always been plentiful and joyous with the memories we have with family and friends. The parking is a little sparse, but the service and accommodations have always been five star. I would recommend this winery as one of your stops to enjoy your day.

Love this place!!!! It has an absolutely amazing view of the mountains and rolling hills. I was so amazed by how dynamic this place was between quiet chills afternoons and entertaining/loud evenings with live music. They also offer some good food (fries), really good margaritas (they have a full bar), and great tasting wine slushies ! I love the friendly staff with the extra / heavy-handed pours that I even proposed to my girlfriend here ....she said YES! 100% recommend this place.

Went to Temecula for a day trip with the girls. Altisima was our first stop. We had reservations at 1130 for brunch on a Saturday. The place was decent, got sat right away, and took our time ordering food and drinks. 4 drinks, 4 entrees, and 2 appetizers to share came out to about 85$ a person including tip. The food wasn't amazing, but rather decent. Some of us liked the calamari, but I didn't like it as much. I should have tried their ceviche. I ordered their tomato pasta with salmon. The salmon was way overcooked and dry. Wasn't worth what I paid for it. Eventually a live ban started playing. Lots of outdoor seating and spots to take pictures. Staff members were nice and place was clean. We were celebrating belated birthdays so they gave us churros which were good and came in perfect bite size.

The environment here is great. The location is picturesque. There are so many reasons to visit here. The location, the wine of course, the decor and set up. Just beautiful. The atmosphere is perfect for day drinking. My friend has a membership, so we were able to be seated upstairs on the 2nd level in the members' lounge. It felt like VIP getting in that elevator. I love the view from up there. I did not drink the wine but from what I saw, the pours were very generous. The property is well kept. It is beautiful and modern with an extremely accommodating staff. Our group had a wonderful time. I will definitely visit this winery again so I can get the full experience.

love this place , but that day their espresso machine is not working ugh! I will give the ambience and location 5 star, busy weekend so better made a reservation before showing up, food are ok, and they comes with big serving. we came early so after brunch and wine tasting we couldn't stay to check how good is their performer for that day. they start around 3-6 pm.

Altisima is such a vibe. There's indoor and reserved patio seating for reservations and then there is open lawn seating for walk ins. The food is great and the drinks are even better. Definitely recommend

Pinay M.

I don't usually drive all the way up here, but for this view and wine tasting experience, it makes the drive worth it. Place is huge and very pretty with plenty of seats. As soon as you walked in, there is an elevator to the left, which would take you to the second floor, for the members lounge only. It is a really beautiful lounge but make sure to bring a sweater because it gets chilly later in the afternoon. We were finishing up around 6:40 PM when we notice a bunch of people with their blankets and thick jackets walking towards the projector screen at the first floor getting ready for an outdoor free movie night, that was really cool. If we came prepared with our blankets too to keep us warm we would've stayed longer and watched too. Wines are very nice however it is a little pricey starting from $15 a glass for a Chardonnay and price ranges from $23 and up per glass for the Reds.

Food was fantastic. The mains were pretty large serving. I wasn't hungry when we got there So the ceviche was the best option for me. And it was fantastic. As well as the Brussels sprouts . Normally you're able to make reservations at the restaurant online. For some reason it was not an option that day. So we had to walk in. Little did we know it was Palm Sunday. So there were tons of kids running around. I think they pick and choose kids days. Cause my friend had brought a baby in a stroller that was sleeping and was told they can't be there. But this day the kids were running all over. So I would recommend just calling before. The wine was pretty good. But I think the views of this place if what makes it stand out. it's beautiful

Visited this winery for the first time. What a beautiful venue. There's a beautiful restaurant and a tasting room. The staff is super friendly. We had Shawna who was super personable and very informative. It's a great place to visit on the weekends, enjoy the outdoors with live music. I highly recommend this winery.

We've visited many times over the years, as this is one of our favorite wineries (and we used to be members). Howard and Roxy are always providing wonderful service and insightful information regarding GB's wines and food pairings. Typically, the tastings include varietals grown at the estate, such as Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Roussanne, with other varietals sourced from Temecula vineyards. They also offer three (3) wonderful dessert wines made from Primitivo grapes (standard, vanilla, and mocha flavors). These are a little lighter than most Port or Port-style and Late Harvest dessert wines. Each tasting comes with a small package of baked bread sticks or gourmet chips for wine clique members, and recently they've offered pre-made charcuterie trays. I always preface my winery reviews by saying that wine tasting is subjective to the individual's palate, service is not. The wines I like/dislike, you may hate/love. I always suggest that you try and decide for yourself. There's a large indoor tasting room, as well as a large, covered patio offering great views of the surrounding vineyards, hills, and neighboring wineries. They also have a separate area away from the tasting facility that hosts weddings and other events. I can't recommend Gershon Bachus highly enough for fantastic wines and great service.

The service was extremely slow for there only being 3 tables, including us. We were there for almost an hour and a half and it felt like the tasting was getting dragged out. The wines weren't great for our taste, but that's subjective. Our wine pourer said he "judged us from the moment we walked in" which was a very odd and off putting statement.

I had made reservations at The Cave at Oak Mountain Winery for a group of 10 girlfriends to celebrate my 40th birthday. I was really looking forward to a special and memorable evening. The day before our reservation, I called ahead to ask about bringing a cake. When they told me there was a policy for no outside food or drinks inside the cave, I asked if we could simply step outside after dinner (near the parking lot) to enjoy the cake, and was still told no. Trying to make the best of it, I then asked what dessert options they could offer so I could plan something in advance for my group. I explained that this was a milestone birthday and I wanted to make it feel special. The response I received was simply to "look at the menu and order when you get here." That completely missed the point. I wasn't just looking to order dessert--I was trying to create a meaningful celebration experience for a large party. What disappointed me most was the lack of care or effort. There was no attempt to accommodate, no suggestions, no sense that they valued the occasion--or even their customers. As a wine club member, I expected at least a little more attentiveness. I ultimately canceled my reservation, and the response was completely indifferent. I also canceled my membership shortly after, which again didn't seem to matter to them. It was honestly shocking how little customer service was shown. For a place that markets itself as an experience, I expected far more--especially for a milestone celebration. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend them for special occasions. Two stars for their winery portion and their whiskey distillery- those are great!! I really enjoyed my time with Oak Mountain, until this experience.

We loved this place because it was so BEAUTIFUL and CLEAN every time we came to visit, and they allowed for a larger guest count. From the manicured lawns to the pavilion, these guys keep it looking sharp all the time. Honestly, I was a little nervous in the weeks leading up to the wedding because I wasn't sure just how much the coordinator & the Morgan Estate team would help with set-up. Now, we had everything pretty well-labeled and in boxes, but I just didn't know how much they would do. We were prepared to have to do some set up ourselves. (The one thing I will say that added to this nervousness was some lacking communication, particularly when we went to do our walk-through a couple months before the wedding day and our appointment was not on their calendar--or rather, it was put down at a different time. They definitely redeemed themselves from this though!) Tiffany, our main contact & their principal coordinator, let us know ahead of time that she wouldn't be present the day of the wedding, but to rest assured, because she had 2 other coordinators that would take care of the day. And let me tell you, they (Crystal & Jordan) were AMAZING! Like I said, I had the bridal party ready to help set up if needed, but the help we had to do was minimal. Jordan and her team set the tables up so beautifully, and I just sent her a picture of what we wanted. Crystal was on top of everything and would come to me periodically to let me know how everything was going (ceremony set-up wise) and I let her know of any changes, etc. She basically kept assuring me that things were done & would be great--and they were! And they were all so so nice and respectful! Planning a wedding is STRESSFUL, but I'm grateful fo these wonderful people who helped so much the day of. GENERALLY OPEN LATER - MUST GO ON A SUNDAY EVENING!…read more I do not frequent Temecula very often. I've only been here a few times. Visiting wineries is a fun way to spend a Sunday in Temecula, yet the only down side is that the majority of wineries close at 5pm. The Peltzer, however, is open a bit later and usually till 7pm. I have a very nice time here. The two wines I tried here were very good. The service was friendly and welcoming. I happened to love the vibe and decor here a bit more as it was not all restaurant orientated. It felt more like a family friendly brewery where you can bring a board game and sip some wine and enjoy your time with friends. I would definitely come back to the Peltzer!

Peltzer is such a fun and welcoming spot in Temecula. There's a short walk up to the winery, but…read morethe property is so lovely that it feels like part of the experience. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of outdoor seating, charming décor, and even pigs and small activities such as "gem mining"--which adds to the relaxed, family‑friendly vibe. Inside, the tasting room is large, lively, and inviting. The staff was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to share their wines with us. They also gave us great recommendations for other wineries to check out during our weekend, which we really appreciated. Peltzer doubles as a venue, and you can tell--there's always something happening. Concerts, weddings, events... it feels like a place that has something for everyone. We can't wait to come back and explore more because it truly feels like a winery you can enjoy in a dozen different ways. The only downside of our evening was that they had to close down early due to a wedding.
