What a great day at the winery. Ely was our server and was quite helpful. We started with a glass of their red blend, and my wife had a sangria. The ambiance was positive, and the vibe was cool. We enjoyed the entertainment as both the vocals and keyboard were phenomenal. My wife had the chicken salad, and I had the chef's special pork chop. Both meals were awesome, and the overall experience was worthy of mention. A must try and highly recommended. read more

Great Girls Getaway ... but it wasn't just the company that made it great, it was the service, atmosphere and the wine! Went here On a Saturday with some friends for wine tasting and lunch. Let me tell you wow; this place is top notch .... The views, the service, the wines, and the ambiance. Very clean and very inviting. Loved that for the tasting you got to pick out your own wines to try ; I love when wineries do this ... pick to your own liking. Super good choices to. The desert one was by far the favorite ... even ordered a bottle of this to take home it was so good. For the food at the Resturant on the main level- make reservations if you plan to dine. Heard good things about the burgers ; and boy were they right. Perfect burger. Everything on that burger worked well together. Cooked to your liking. The fries were good and crispy too. Even had sides of ketchup and ranch. It was raining but that didn't effect our time here at all; was in heaven at this winery. Highly recommend!!! read more

One of the most beautiful winery and full service restaurant located in the heart of ever flourishing Temecula wine country, this restaurant offers many different options for lunch crowds. The chicken sandwich was prepared with two slices of bacon and condiments with freshly deep fried thick French Fries with truffle. The salad was ok. It had requisite amount of apple, greens, other nuts and bland balsamic vinegar. The steak salad was better. The hamburger was huge and meat well proportionate to the breads. This winery is great. The food is good, a bit pricey but good. I love that they check members ID's to go up stairs. It's nice to actually have a true members only area at a local Winery. But the highlight is Connor upstairs! He is kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The staff as a whole is great but he is a definite standout. read more

I visited on a slow weekday and got to do a tasting up in the Member's Lounge. My oh my - the view on a clear day was exquisite. The patio was lovely. However, I didn't stay long outside on the patio because I loved talking wine with Ty in the tasting room. Disclaimer: I am not a wine connoisseur but I can appreciate good vibes/experiences lol. I really enjoyed this winery for a few reasons! 1. Ample outdoor space to hang out + beautiful views of the mountains, plenty of nice outdoor seating (sun protection as well). 2. Multiple bars and areas to order drinks from. The bar for picking up wine tastings was outside which was awesome because even without a reservation, you could still do a tasting whereas with some of the other wineries the tasting is confined to indoor rooms. You grab a tasting card (i think it was like $30 for 5 tastings?) from the front desk when you walk in. The bar inside has other drinks options like frozen drinks etc. 3. The restaurant here has long wait times but it's still very feasible to eat here without a reservation. Put your name down, they'll give you a little disk that vibrates when your table is ready. Go drink some wine and by the time you're done, your table will be ready. Our wait on a busy Saturday afternoon was about 1.5 hours. 4. There was really fun live music! I don't know if they do that every weekend or not but it was a great vibe! I would come here again :). And yes the wine was good too! read more

I love coming to this winery. It has beautiful views outside, but I think the members only area upstairs could be a little bigger. The service so far has been good for the most part. It's either excellent or falls short like our last visit. There is a seating time limit to eat. So, we were concerned as the last time we were there it took almost 25 minutes to get water or any kind of acknowledgment when my usual visits have had a much faster response time. They did comp is our first round of wine which was kind of them in response to the delay! The food has always been tasty and as someone who hates cauliflower, their appetizer of fried cauliflower is amazing. I also enjoy their steak salad. It can certainly be easy to over eat here . Can't wait to enjoy the summer here! read more

I love this place! The view from their patio is beautiful, like being in Tuscany! We ordered most appetizers on the menu... they were all very good but the grilled octopus was exceptional! Tender full of flavor... delicious! I tried making reservations through open tank and were booked, we still went and were able to get a patio table with no problems Our server Mike was very nice and took very good care of us I had their Pinot noir wine and it vastly improved very very good! We have been onyx members since they opened. Thats $2000 a year. We arrived today and checked in for the upstairs members-only area and was told we have an 1hr & 1/2 wait! Even for the onyx side too. From downstairs looking up we could see empty chairs and it didn't look overly crowded. We went back to the hostess to confirm again and she said no there's no room. We pay a lot of money to be members and to be treated very poorly is unacceptable. There is no priority in being an onyx member. read more

We've visited many times over the years, as this is one of our favorite wineries (and we used to be members). Howard and Roxy are always providing wonderful service and insightful information regarding GB's wines and food pairings. Typically, the tastings include varietals grown at the estate, such as Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Roussanne, with other varietals sourced from Temecula vineyards. They also offer three (3) wonderful dessert wines made from Primitivo grapes (standard, vanilla, and mocha flavors). These are a little lighter than most Port or Port-style and Late Harvest dessert wines. Each tasting comes with a small package of baked bread sticks or gourmet chips for wine clique members, and recently they've offered pre-made charcuterie trays. I always preface my winery reviews by saying that wine tasting is subjective to the individual's palate, service is not. The wines I like/dislike, you may hate/love. I always suggest that you try and decide for yourself. There's a large indoor tasting room, as well as a large, covered patio offering great views of the surrounding vineyards, hills, and neighboring wineries. They also have a separate area away from the tasting facility that hosts weddings and other events. I can't recommend Gershon Bachus highly enough for fantastic wines and great service.

I explained that this was a milestone birthday and I wanted to make it feel special. The response I received was simply to "look at the menu and order when you get here." That completely missed the point. I wasn't just looking to order dessert--I was trying to create a meaningful celebration experience for a large party. What disappointed me most was the lack of care or effort. There was no attempt to accommodate, no suggestions, no sense that they valued the occasion--or even their customers. As a wine club member, I expected at least a little more attentiveness. I ultimately canceled my reservation, and the response was completely indifferent. I also canceled my membership shortly after, which again didn't seem to matter to them. It was honestly shocking how little customer service was shown. For a place that markets itself as an experience, I expected far more--especially for a milestone celebration. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend them for special occasions. Two stars for their winery portion and their whiskey distillery- those are great!! He also explained the bottling process to us. After the tour, we returned to the tasting area where we met Kyle. He was doing a great job managing a bachelorette party. Both Kyle and Hunter kept it light and professional. The vineyard offered a great deal on a case of wine. Luckily, we drove out so we have a case to take home. I would recommend this place.

I recently had a truly disappointing experience at Altisima Winery, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. My family and I have been loyal members of Altisima Winery since they first opened their doors. We've always enjoyed bringing our kids along and spending quality time on the patio and in the grassy area. However, our most recent visit for a friend's 40th birthday celebration left a sour taste in our mouths. To start with, I made a reservation for lunch well in advance and never received any indication that there might be an issue with having children present. When we arrived and spent over $800 on food and wine, we were repeatedly bombarded with complaints about our kids being on the premises. The staff's attitude was not only rude but also disrespectful. After lunch, we decided to relax with a glass of wine and take in the beautiful view while capturing some memorable pictures. Shockingly, we were confronted by three separate individuals who told us our kids needed to leave the area. In fact, their suggestion was for the kids to sit out in front of the winery by themselves! This was not only unacceptable but also completely unsafe. I understand that Altisima Winery may want to create a more adult-oriented atmosphere, but the way they handled the situation was nothing short of appalling. Their approach to addressing the presence of children was utterly embarrassing and humiliating. I had previously recommended this winery to our friends, but after this experience, I can confidently say that I have no desire to return to Altisima Winery ever again. In conclusion, Altisima Winery's treatment of us, loyal customers of many years, was unacceptable. Their lack of professionalism and their disrespectful approach to dealing with children on their premises has tarnished my view of this establishment. I sincerely hope they reconsider their policies and learn to treat their customers with the respect they deserve. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely in Temecula Valley this past Memorial Day, booking Altisima's Tour Elevado ahead of time. We learned about the area and land, the vines, winemaking, trying an almost ready wine, and then sitting out on the balcony drinking five of their good wines paired with five tasty cheeses and the most yummy fig-jalapeño jam (with surprisingly no bite/heat to it!). Extraordinary views! Their Muscato took us by surprise as we generally do not like them but this one is not super sweet and more flavorful. A bottle came home with us:) Ty was our personable and experienced guide throughout the tour - a keeper! The winery is only a one hour scenic drive from San Diego and it was well worth it. Plus, there is a loop of 40+ wineries in this valley and lots of horse farms if you want to spend more time up there. We came by 11 am to enjoy the music and enjoy some good company. Unfortunately the umbrella that we got was badly accommodated and it kept turning sideways giving shade to everyone around our group except where we were sitting. We were a big group with kids. I tried to accommodate it myself to not bother anyone since I have the same umbrella at home. They sent a security guard to tell me not to touch the umbrella. I told them I knew what was wrong with it and they didn't care. They they called the managers and one guy named "Elliot" came to tell me I couldn't touch the umbrella. My husband and I joined the wine club due to the amazing service Connor gave us in the tasting room the first time we visited the winery. Fast forward to our experience yesterday we were possibly going to be late for our reservation and Aspen helped tremendously and was very kind on the phone. When we got to the winery of course it was packed and busy but Amber (hostess) was so sweet and accommodating. I went a lot of times at altisima winery. Everything is so nice and beautiful. We went to celebrate our 1st anniversary with my husband in june 2021 and since that this winery is my favorite place in temecula. Especially for the manager Crystal, she is so nice, she is smilling all the time and she is taking care of the customer. I went to the gala too and everything was amazing. He was a wealth of knowledge for tasting notes and new vintage releases, was friendly and fun, and helped us navigate our wine pickups with whatever substitutions we wanted (definitely a selling point for Altisima's wine club!). Altisima Winery in Temecula wine country provided a wonderful experience for an early lunch on the Memorial Day holiday. Our waitress, Shanice, was friendly, patient and professional. She was the highlight, as well as the food. Try the parmesan fries and grilled cheese sandwich - THE BEST! The view and outdoor ambiance is incredible. Overall, the winery is very classy. It's a nice addition to our Temecula wine country and is a recommended stop along anyone's wine tasting route. read more

I visited Altisima Winery recently and was really impressed by the whole experience. It's a gorgeous winery with a restaurant and a beautiful patio for listening to live music. What really stood out for me was my interactions with Charlene during my tasting. She was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines. She walked me through the wine list, listened to my likes/dislikes and made great recommendations. I'll definitely be visiting Altisima again. read more
