Highly recommend! I was dreading getting alterations because I always have bad experiences. I was pleasantly surprised here. Eloisa did fantastic work altering my Bridesmaid's dress. This is her independent business so she doesn't overcharge you and she gets her work done on time. She was very quick and such a sweet lady. I will be taking all of my alterations to her from now on. Ps. Don't be turned off by the odd location. Her shop is located upstairs and be patient when you ring the doorbell. read more

Beautiful work! She redesigned my mother's wedding dress so I could wear it for the rehearsal dinner!

I definitely recommend this place for any alteration needs. I first came here to get my wedding dress altered two years ago. I had a cheap and simple wedding dress with lace. I spent $135 and Eloisa did a great job. My husband also gets his pants, shorts, and polo shirts altered with her and she does a great job. My husband tried getting an alteration done somewhere else but he said he still prefers the way Eloisa does alterations. You can pay her with cash or venmo. We usually pay her through venmo. read more

I had an appointment at 2:30 ... I was there ten minutes early.... almost 40 minutes later no one has checked on me so I left. I understand appointments run late, but it's no excuse to check on the person waiting for their appointment. I'll take my dress elsewhere! read more

Eloisa helped in designing and crafting this beautiful dress for me. We had multiple sessions and she was very flexible through out the entire process. The dress came out stunning. Would definitely recommend. The only downside is that the dress was heavy and fell throughout the night, but that was because the fabric underlay was so thick. Overall very very happy with how it turned out. She even made pockets in the dress read more

Review for initial quote: I brought my reception dress over for a quote. It was a 200 dollar white dress from Lulu that I just needed minor changes but I was quoted $5000 to make the dress shorter by 2 inches on the bottom, and to shorten the straps. I went to another place ~2 minutes drive from there and got a quote of $98 dollars. At Eloisa's she never asked me to try the dress on or anything but the other place asked me to try the dress on and even started to pin the dress. Initially I thought I would go to Eloise to get my ceremony dress altered but not after that quote. I'm using Laura's for my ceremony dress and I love them! I tried on my dress and they gave me a quote in writing before we decided to proceed. They were very professional and I'm very happy with them. Hope this helps with someone. read more

Eloisa saved my wedding dress. I had a lace topper made by an Etsy shop that arrived 3 weeks before my wedding, disastrously way too big. I am so glad I found Eloisa on Yelp, because I called her that day and she was able to squeeze me in. Upon entering her shop and seeing nothing but wedding dresses, I knew I had come to the right place. Eloisa had me try on the topper, made a few pins, and told me it would be ready in 2 weeks. (One week before my wedding! Deep breaths, deep breaths...) Lo and behold, when I went to try on my altered dress topper, it fit like a glove. It was made for me. Eloisa is a master at what she does, and I can't recommend her enough. read more

Eloisa is an artist whose craftsmanship is second to none! I came to her with my wedding dress, floral appliqués and tulle and asked her to make a topper/bolero for my dress with the appliqués and tulle. I showed her a picture of my vision and she executed it even better than I could have imagined! She is patient, kind, and her work is just incredible. Eloisa even moved the waistline of my wedding dress down to better fit the proportions of my body. I can't recommend her enough! Thank you Eloisa! read more

Eloisa is THE go-to for anything alteration related. Not only did she totally RECONSTRUCT my wedding dress, but she also makes TOP NOTCH shapewear in order for you to look and feel amazing on your special day. Her shapewear is affordable, personalized (as she makes them herself), and gives you that WOW factor that you're looking for! Her shapewear is seriously better than any brands...for example Spanx, Kim K, etc. When you see her, do yourself a favor and ask for her shapewear as well! She is amazing, super sweet, and truly the best! I felt like a princess on the day of my wedding and it truly is Italy because of her! read more

Eloisa is a real life angel. I was recommended by Lovely Bride, and I could not have been happier. We had about 3 weeks until the wedding date, and Eloisa did an incredible job. I never felt rushed. She was thorough, patient, extremely kind and just all around great person to work with. She altered my wedding dress perfectly! Additionally, I bought a jumpsuit that was 4 sizes too big, and she completely revamped it within a week before the wedding date. Highly recommend her for any alterations-- not just bridal! read more

I'm almost in tears writing this; happy tears!!! The pandemic has wreaked havoc on my wedding planning, so I was very last minute when I sought out to get my wedding dress altered. I initially brought the gown to Nancy in Rice Village since she had so many great reviews. She was curt, rude, and unwelcoming. I basically walked in, told her my wedding date and she immediately turned me down without further discussion & in such a mean way that I broke down crying in the store. As terrible as that experience was, I'm thankful that she couldn't alter my dress because that led me to finding my wedding angel Eloisa! I found out after the fact that she usually doesn't work on my brand of dress because of the way that they're made (that's another story) but I guess she saw how distraught and stressed I was when I came in, and she worked her magic for me. Not only is my dress PERFECT, but Eloisa got in done in 2 WEEKS!!!!!!! When I went to pick up the dress, I was amazed at how she fixed things that I didn't even point out to her, in order to really make sure that the dress fit my body and flattered my figure. I could not stop smiling and praising her in the store. She is a true seamstress and I can tell that she is a master at her craft. I really, really couldn't have asked for much more. Eloisa is amazingly talented and she is such a sweet woman with a good heart on top of that. My only regret is that I wish I would have found her earlier so that she could make my reception dress for me too! Thank you Eloisa! I will definitely be coming back here for all of my alterations in the future. read more

Eloisa altered my daughter's wedding dress from a size 2 to a size 4. She also hemmed it and added the tools necessary that allowed the skirt to be bustled. The zipper in the dress was sewn incorrectly and she was able to fix it so it zipped easier. The dress is perfect and her work is impeccable. She is kind, easy to contact, and eager to please. We loved working with her. read more

Eloisa Did a great job on my rehearsal dinner gown. Highly recommend! Great location.

Eloisa saved my wedding dress! I had a terrible experience at another tailor and found Eloisa just 6 weeks before my wedding. The alterations on my dress were pretty complex and I was so impressed with how well she made the dress fit perfectly in such a short amount of time! She was very accommodating and her workspace is spacious and clean. I have since used her for everyday alterations and will continue to use her as our family tailor (even with our 45 minute commute)! I highly recommend Eloisa! read more

Eloísa is MAGIC!! A few years ago she rushed my wedding dress alterations and was somehow able to do an incredible (yet simple and beautiful) bustle for my long train. I have become a repeat customer for other dresses and do not trust anyone else with my clothes. She's simply THE BEST! I refer every bride I meet to her because I know she will not disappoint. Eloisa is a miracle worker. She altered my daughter's wedding gown and made it fit perfectly !!! It wasn't an easy job, we actually took it to our regular tailor first, and she said it was too big of a job for her. If I could rate higher I absolutely would. Eloisa completely transformed my dress into everything I wanted it to be! Covid made things tricky when I originally ordered my dress, as I ordered over the phone. When it came in it was about 4 sizes way too big. She altered it to fit seamlessly. You would have never known it was so big to begin with. She made every experience so easy and really listened to everything you had to say. Her pricing is so affordable and she really has a quick turn around time for the alterations. I would recommend her over and over again! Thank you so much Eloisa! You are incredible and really made this experience so perfect! read more

I bought a designer wedding dress at a sample sale but needed it sized down from an 8 to either a 0 or 2. I also wanted to customize the upper half of the dress. After checking out a couple of other wedding dress alteration businesses that added fees for every small element, Eloisa offered me a very fair flat rate for customizing the entire dress and adding bustles. She did an incredible job maintaining the overall design of the dress despite having to bring it in significantly and managed to create the top I wanted based on a few examples I had provided. Very pleased with her work, price, and honest recommendations. Excited for my final fitting and would highly recommend her to her other brides in the area. read more

Eloisa is incredible - she does amazing work and completely fixed a dress that had both a manufacturer error and a previous tailor's mistakes. Eloisa so kindly fit me in two weeks before my wedding, and she worked miracles. The dress looks amazing now, and Eloisa made a custom undergarment to smooth everything and keep it in place - far better than anything on the market (and I tried well over 10 other options). I'm so grateful to Eloisa, and I cannot recommend her highly enough! read more
