I've been going to Soon Tailoring for over a year, and Lynn has always been so kind, professional, and accommodating. She recently tailored my suit for a wedding, and once again, she did an amazing job. She always makes sure everything fits perfectly and goes out of her way to take care of me, even when I'm working with a tight schedule. I truly appreciate the care and attention she puts into her work--it's why I continue coming back. If you need a talented and dependable tailor, this is the place to go. I highly recommend Lynn and Soon Tailoring. Five stars every time! read more

Soon’s Tailor & Alterations - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Houston, Texas

I had such an amazing experience at Soon's tailor. I bought a sample dress that was at least 6 sizes too large, added a picture before alterations. They were able to make the alterations very quickly and for a very reasonable price. I had multiple fittings and knew what to expect each time I was coming in. They listening to me so well and I feel ready to hit the dance floor with the dress now. Couldn't recommend them enough!!! read more

I've gotten a bunch of dresses tailored and hemmed and they've always done a great job here. This past time I was on a time crunch and she was able to alter my dress in one week and it turned out great! Would definitely recommend! read more

The quality of the work is not great and also the prices have increased and provided are not consistent.

I went to this alteration shop to have a dress and 2 pairs of scrub pants altered. My clothes were altered but I was extremely alarmed when she told me the price of my alterations. The work is good but they are very overpriced. For my 3 garments I paid $180. I paid more for the alterations for each piece than for the actual garments. I will definitely be looking for a new alteration shop with more reasonable prices. read more

Soon does an excellent job and charges a fair price. I bring all my clothes here for alterations and highly recommend it.

Soon used to do a great job, but she moved back to China and left it with her sister. She's definitely not as good and not nearly as friendly or nice. I've tried to give it a go for the past year, but she is way overpriced (more so than before with Soon, but Soon did a great job), and the straw that broke the camel's back was the last alteration. Not only did I not know the price beforehand, but she was angry that the first alteration was not right. I will find a new place for my next dress. read more

My family and i get all of our tailoring work done by Soon for over 5 years now. She is such an amazing lady and always has quick turn around time. read more

Soon’s Tailor & Alterations - Prom Dress 2019 - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Houston, Texas

I brought in a dress that was too small in my bust. I couldn't return the dress and I loved it. I hoped some how I could alter it to fit me. This lady worked magic!! She literally added fabric to make it fit me and you cant even tell the dress was altered! read more

The seem-tress with the very short grey hair was extremely unprofessional and inpatient. I have visited this location before and she over charged us this time around. I even had to ask her not be rude toward my elderly mother who was questioning whether she should adjust the waist. She didn't like the fact that my mother asked her to adjust it twice. Is that not why we are here? To gauge whether the waist line should be adjusted to her liking. That is what you are being paid for. Not paying you the have an attitude towards your customers. It seems like she picks and chooses whom to bully. This shop is in the river oaks district, so I am sure she doesn't treat the locals this way.. read more

Soon is professional, responsive, turns over great alterations in a timely manner. I highly recommend Soon's.

I went to Soon for the first time a couple weeks ago. I brought in some jeans to be hemmed that I needed in time for Rodeo Cook Off :). I was a little nervous about them because they are very flared, bell bottom jeans with a raw frayed hem. Also nervous because they were very expensive jeans. I needed them shorter but wanted to keep the original raw frayed hem. I tried them on for Soon, she measured and pinned and showed me what they would look like, assuring me the original hem would remain. Went back a few days later, tried them on, they were perfect. Just the right length, frayed hem. So happy with the product and service! Soon is the sweetest lady! I will continue to go to Soon for all my tailoring needs. :) read more

Amazing tailor who was not only quick, but also just a lovely person who took care of all of the necessary things for a wedding that came up real quick. Highly recommended. Great people too! read more

The work is good but prices are unreasonable. They also avoid telling you how much something is going to cost up front, then you pick it up and can't believe what they're charging you. Asked them to repair a hem on a shirt. Just a few stitches cost me $8 read more

A friend recommended Soon, so I took 2 dresses there to get altered. 1 was just hemmed , and a bead repair. The other taken in all over. The older seamstress was very sweet and friendly. I tried on each dress, she made the pin marks, and I was done. After reading a few of the 'pricey' reviews, I probably should have asked how much before I left, but I didn't. The 1st dress getting hemmed/repaired was $35. She said it was because a lot of the beads started falling off, when she was repairing one. The other dress was $24 (taken in in a few places). So $59 total. I guess that's a little high, but she did a great job, had them ready when I needed them, and was friendly. read more

Definitely recommend Soon Tailor! She was amazing, fast, and very reasonably priced! She did my wedding dress and it was perfect, I will definitely trust her to do all my alterations in the future. read more

I found this place based on the reviews here and was SO IMPRESSED with this place. I had to get some things done to my wedding dress and get it tailored and she did all of the work within a week. When I tried it on it fit me PERFECT! I thought it would be double the price than what she charged me too. Very affordable for the services they offer. read more

I bring all my suits there to be tailored for years. Mrs. Soon is a lovely lady with exceptional tailoring skills!

Is dropped a pair of slacks to have the length shorted and the pant legs taken it some. The woman behind the counter was very cordial and helped me with what would make the slacks wear better. A week later when I returned the alterations were completed to my expectations. I would highly recommend Soon Tailors & Alterations read more

DO NOT go here! I initially came here as I read reviews of realistic pricing. I only did a hem and take in for my dress and was charged more than the actual dress itself. I tried to dispute the pricing with the owner since it did not seem realistic, but she was unable help in any way, which therefore left me with an overpriced alteration. read more

Soon is the best! I have been taking things to her for about a year and am always pleased with the results. She gets items back the next day when it is just a hem or less than a week for a formal dress. I have even had her tell me the piece really doesn't need alteration and I should wash it first and she was right! She is always friendly and helpful and most importantly does quality work for a reasonable price inside the loop. Highly recommend her shop! read more

My ex from over a year ago brought my favorite pair of slacks here early last year with a huge tear in it. Miss Soon repaired the tear promptly and there my slacks sat....for over a year. The ex-GF and I had long broken up and Miss Soon tracked me down. She held the pants for me and I just finally got them back yesterday. I brought her 3 pairs of new slacks to hem and a brand new suit to tailor to my fattass. I will update when I get everything back! read more

I needed to get my tux altered for wedding and wanted to make sure that it fits perfectly for the big day. Got quotes from a few different tailor shops and this shop is in the middle in terms of price. Soon (the tailor) reassured me with confidence that the job will be done right and i'm happy with the result. Friendly, clean, does the job right and reasonable cost. Definitely coming back here! read more

Been going to Soon's for years. Ms. Soon is such a nice woman and a wonderful Tailor. She's fixed everything from my Lululemon yoga pants to my Banana Republic slacks and every my Joe's jeans! Great job every time. read more

Ms. Soon is amazing!!! I have an Oscar de la Renta gown from the 70's and LOVE the fabric but hate the dated, puffy shoulders style. I took it to another tailor to have it made into a strapless dress and they told me it would be impossible for them to do and that the dress would have to be totally remade and it would be expensive. I almost gave up, but decided to pop in here on my way home. Ms. Soon knew exactly what I wanted and was able to do it quickly for a GREAT price!! I'm so happy I decided to give this place a try. Now I have a beautiful gown! I will be coming here for life. read more

I had a pair pants fixed here because they had a rip in them. They did very good work but the pants ripped again and she fix them for free I appreciate the customer service read more

I needed a skirt taken out and two dresses altered. I needed one dress within 24 hours. When I came to pick it up, she had all three pieces ready! I couldn't believe it. Excellent work, private area to try clothes on, and fast service. Soon's is the best! read more

Brought in a bridesmaids dress to get altered. They did a great job altering the dress and the owner was friendly. You can probably find cheaper alterationB services but the quality performed here is worth paying the little bit more. read more

Extremely friendly, does quality work, and even reopened her store when I got there late to let me get my stuff. So nice! I'll definitely go back. read more

I went here on whim to get my wife's pant's hemmed. It's down the street from my house and I didn't feel like driving through traffic to go to my usual tailor. To begin, the owner BARELY speaks any English. Sure, in person we were able to tell her what we wanted but if any problems arise, good luck. This brings me to the second issue. We picked up my wife's pants when they were ready and 2 days later when my wife went to try them on, we realized she gave us someone else's pants. When we went back to the shop it turns out they gave our pants to someone else as well. She was able to track them down for us a day later and get them back. Needless to say it was a huge and unwanted hassle. Did they offer us a free hem or a discount or anything? Nope. Just a "oh sorry". What a wonderful first experience. They aren't cheap and their service appears to seriously lacking. We won't be going back ever again. read more

Be careful because the tailor will quote a teaser price and then raise it the on pick-up date. They also did not replace a zipper that they charged me for. read more

I have been going to Soon's tailors for years and have never been disappointed. I refer her all of the time to my friends!
