I brought in an expensive pair of jeans & explained that I needed them cut to shorten them but leave a raw hem. When I went to pick them up, they were hemmed w/an ugly thick brown stitch that I specifically told the woman not to use that she showed me when I dropped them off. My expereience here was great I went here to get my wedding dress taking in a bit around my waist and chest area ! T (the owner) and her husband works the shop and make sure you are satisfied with your alterations before you leave and if something happens or goes wrong they work with you to get it right! My alterations weren't finished when my pick day and time came but T made sure to get it done even staying after business hours for me to pick it up in time for my wedding day that following Sunday ! My wedding dress had specific details and lace so I was very nervous to let just anyone do it but they did not disappoint and the price was reasonable unlike some bridal alterations shops! The other tailor I went to said the zippers would have to be replaced, and after two weeks, she told me she could not replace them. Dropped my bridesmaid dress off a week ago, and we agreed to have it picked up Saturday. I arrived Saturday to pick up my dress and the dress was sitting there untouched, exactly how it looked like when I dropped it off. This is completely unacceptable as it was very clear they had completely forgotten about the dress. The lady tried to offer a very obviously fake excuse about a family emergency. Excellent experience with outstanding customer service and high quality work at a very reasonable price. Went in to taper and hem 2 pairs of pants. Drove nearly 40 minutes based on all of the great reviews and was not disappointed! Was a bit busy (as to be expected) however I was greeted and assisted promptly. Owner was patient and worked with me carefully to ensure alterations would be done to my preference while at the same time providing me professional insight into what would look best. This place is amazing. Great customer service. My friend has had this teddy bear for over 20 years as a gift from her basketball team. She loved the Teddy bear so much that she slept with it everyday until it became extremely flat. To her surprise it was same day alterations & she said the lady who serviced her was so nice (didn't get her name). When she went back later in the evening to pick it up she was running behind & would get there right after close. I advised her to call the shop & speak to them about her dilemma. When I called my sister back to see how things went she was too happy & said they stayed open until she got there & was able to get her outfit. I requested a quote online for a bridesmaid dress alteration. T alteration & Tailor was very quick to respond. Of all the responses I received that day, T alteration & Tailor offered me the most reasonable price (Actually, I thought they charged me too little). Don't confuse them with "T's Alteration" and "T's Tailor Alteration". They have similar names but they're all different. My dress was initially made for a smaller, skinnier girl. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the girl could not make it to the wedding, so I inherited her role and her dress. I could not even zip up the dress or move my arms when I first got the dress (see before picture 1 and 2). When I arrived at the shop, the husband and wife team had me put on the dress and knew exactly what they needed to do. They kept the price that they quoted for me online. I had two weeks to work with, but they had it ready in a week (which I think was negotiable if I needed it sooner). The results were amazing! It didn't look like it was altered at all. You can tell they are perfectionists and place close attention to detail. I tried it on after they altered it, but they weren't satisfied with the results, so they sewed it again on the spot (took them 10 minutes). Afterwards, I tried it on again, and I had this part of my dress that kept flapping awkwardly, so they literally sewed it flat while I was wearing the dress. I had a big event in 1 week (this was during Thanksgiving holiday) and I needed my dress altered (hem and sleeves fixed). The staff was super nice and listened to my concerns. I was super surprised that the price was less than what I expected. I was expecting to pay over $100 however the price didnt even come close to $100. I felt beautiful in my dress. When I came to pickup my dress, I tried it on and they noticed that my dress didnt have a hook by the zipper and added the hook in less than 10minutes without charge. I thrifted a pair of white dress pants from a local shop which were too big for me but I just had to grab them. I brought the pants into this shop and it was ready within a week. The fit is perfect. I have now brought multiple items to this shop and they have always done fantastic work. I moved to the area several years ago and have struggled to find a great tailor with reasonable prices but T Alteration & Tailor hits the mark. They always fit garments on me, even for a simple hem, and have made suggestions where an item may look better with an additional small fix (such as adding a dart in the bust after bringing up a strap). Unless a garment is getting a LOT of work (like a suit jacket for my fiancé that they practically remade), the prices are very standard and I know what to expect each time: a hem is $10, straps being taken up are $10, a waist being taken in is $15. All SUPREMELY reasonable, and your ticket is written up BEFORE you leave so that you know what to expect to pay when you come back. I highly, highly recommend them! read more
