Spent $325 to alter 6 dresses and 1 skirt to smaller sizes. Expensive but thought it was worth it…read moreto be able to wear some of my favorite pieces again. Unfortunately I had to come back twice as two items were incorrect at time of pick up. One dress failed to be shorten and another was still too big. When I returned a week later to pick up the two dresses, one was cutting into my armpit so tightly and had gaps on the chest. The only way it fit comfortably is if my arms are all the way behind my back. Otherwise it digs so deeply into the armpit that it hurts. I was told that due to how large the dress was originally, there was nothing that could be done about the ill fit in the armpit/chest area and just pull it down more. Gave no solution to fix. As experts in the alteration field, they should be clear on what can and can't be done with certain garments. I obviously would not have paid to alter a garment if I'd known it wouldn't fit properly. Unfortunately it is completely unwearable with the chest gaps and extremely tight armpit. Essentially I threw away $46 on that.

People who have been leaving negative reviews for this business were just bitter that they didn't get what they want...who goes to a tailor to have an entire dress made? Go out and buy a freaking dress or make it yourself. Don't drag businesses down because YOU are asking too much of them. Period. Ignore the haters leaving reviews for this wonderful establishment. If you're in need of a couple quick fixes-you have got to come to JN Tailors.

The ladies are lovely. My review is based on the price change.

I dropped my dress off as soon as they opened Tuesday Dec 12 For Friday 12/15 pickup. The dress was only taken in on one side at the back which made it off center when putting it on, and the parts under the arm were un touched. I had to pull thread that was left un cut as well as cut thread that was messy, the dress is ruined and I will not be able to wear. I do not recommend this place. The lady offered to fix however, the dress is needed tomorrow and the time does not permit. She took $3.34 Off the $43.34 order total. Take your garment else where. Gave 1 star because I couldn't give 0. I cried and left. She was nice just not a good seamstress.

The pregnant lady whomever she is requested I put the pants on and I agreed. Mind you she never really greeted me or said much other than a quick hand gesture to room and to try pant on. I came out she took pins right away and started to hem the pant up. I said how much she told me the price. I said ok that's not bad, but I'll be back because I have 2 pairs and I want to make sure which size of pant I'm going to keep and also bring my cowboy boots in with me since I want to wear these pants specifically with my boots. I wanted to make sure the length was right with my boots on. Mind you I simply came in for a quote. From the moment I told her this she unpinned the pants and completely walked away from me and ignored me as if i was non existent and a nobody. She was so RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL. No customer service etiquette at all. It was so bad that she knocked on the fitting room door to rush me out the store as I was changing back into my original pants I walked in with stating that their was a customer needing to try on. While she had 2 other open rooms "this customer" could have used to change. In my entire life I have never been treated in such a way. She priced me well and I had every intention of coming back, but based on how she treated me a potential customer I absolutely will not come back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. My business will be given elsewhere. ZERO STARS is my true rating. I'm surprised they have such good ratings which is why I came in the first place but that was absolutely not my experience here. That lady whom was pregnant has ZERO customer service skills she is extremely RUDE and should be removed from her position if she is not the owner. I did ask her if she was the owner she said nothing. I asked her "Why do you have an attitude"? And she replied because I wasn't doing business there and proceeded with a hand gesture of like whatever just leave. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE NOR WILL I EVER RETURN! Within 2 weeks, my dress was ready and fit perfectly and exactly the way I wanted it to. The material was satin and I could not tell where she altered it, it was that seamless!! Price was very reasonable too for the time crunch and the material of the dress. Really happy with the results and I will definitely be back the next time I need alterations!
