I use this Fry Rd location of Ann's Tailors and Alterations regularly, and have done so for several years. For me she has hemmed pants length and taken in waist and seat, shortened suit jacket/sport coats sleeves and taken in the sides. She has also made repairs on a leather jacket and jacket lining. Alterations are usually quoted to be done in 7 days but rush requests have been accepted. If an item doesn't fit just right after alterations she adjusts it to make it right without further charge. I've seen her do much more extensive alterations for others. read more

If zero stars was an option it would still be giving these people too much credit. I will start by saying that the quality of work is awful. I've attached pictures of my very expensive scrub pants (4 pairs) that were supposed to be taken in at the waist. The grey and light blue scrubs were given back to me with the BACK POCKETS TOUCHING!! I could've done a better job of this myself.. I took the pants back and was told it would take 3 days to take the pockets off and place them back in the normal place, this all occurred in January. Last week (April) I went to tie my drawstrings and as they fell out of my pants I realized that SHE CUT THEM IN HALF TO TAKE IN THE WAIST... SHE CUT ALL OF THEM IN HALF! I now have 4 pairs of scrubs and 8 drawstrings, all of which I took pictures of and posted here. Not only does this place have poor quality but they charged me 80$ to take in the waist of 4 pairs of scrubs... After the drawstrings fell out I returned and simply asked for a refund of my 80$ because the job was so poorly done. After all, my pants were returned to me in worse shape than they were before I took them there. Ann told me that I pulled the strings too hard... HAHAHA! It only got better after this- Kevin "the manager" got on the phone and began raising his voice, telling me that the seamstress had a different story, after about an hour both the seamstress and "the manager" agreed that I would be given a refund. (I didnt ask them to pay for the price of the pants, I simply asked for the money I gave them back). Conveniently, however, the seamstress didn't know how to use the credit card machine to return my money. I was told to come back the next day only to be faced with yet another problem, according to "the manager" there is a 30 day no refund policy, so be ware, they only expect the sewing to last 30 days, anything over that is not under "warranty" . Neither the manager or owner have any idea what they are doing. This was the worst experience I've ever had. TAKE YOUR CLOTHES ANYWHERE ELSE because these people are terrible at their jobs. They were desperate for any reason not to return 80$.. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. read more

I got the worst service, but the work was good. She gave me one day to pick up. I came back two days from the date. She told me she never started to work. She promised me she'll have it done that day. I came back before the close of business and the place was locked up to make matters worse when I came back on Monday to pick up my product she said I didn't see you on Saturday and I said you told me to come back on Friday before you close. Customer service in line to your customer is not good business regardless how good you do work. I will never do business here again. read more

I needed a long formal dress altered on length and closing part of the slit. Ms. Thi knew exactly what I wanted and she did the slit perfectly! I was in a rush when I picked it up and the length seemed fine at the moment, but later on I realized it was still a little too long for my comfort. I contacted Ann's Tailors and Ms. Thi shortened the dress again to my perfect length at no extra charge. She does excellent work! I'll come here again. read more

They are a little expensive, but they always do a good job. After many years of going there, there is only one complaint about an alteration they did to a dress this year; besides charging me $80, the dress fits horribly now. This was my first visit to Ann's tailors and alterations and I have nothing but good things to say. When I arrived for an alteration I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. She was sweet and straight forward. The reason that I highly recommend this place and the reason I will be coming in the future is because of the dedication and loyalty she has for her customers. Due to certain circumstances I was not able to pick up my pants and she worked with me and allowed me to pick them up on a day the shop was closed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I've gone to Ann's for both my prom dress alterations and now my wedding dress & both times she has not disappointed. Yes, their english is limited, but Ann & her daughter both try their best to communicate with you & make you visit pleasant. The "fitting room" is a tiny closet, & their floor might have small fabric cuttings that get stuck to your long, dragging wedding dress BUT their service is impeccable & the pricing is soooo reasonable. As far as pricing goes, the bridal boutique where I bought my wedding dress at told me wedding dress alterations START at $200 and can increase from there. For the alterations I needed to get done, I was not about to pay $200+. I took my dress to Ann's and she charged my $40 to fix a few loose beads & the necessary alterations on the straps! I have always felt that it was too much hassle to get my ill-fitting clothes altered. After all, frumpiness can be an art form. However, having recently moved to Texas from a much milder climate, I ordered quite a few linen pants online during a close-out. They ended up being way too big and too long, even for me. Had my wedding dress hemmed and had the lace take in on the top and she did a great job from what i can tell. It took her a little over a month to finish it but I was willing to wait for the price! She is very well priced tho on my bridesmaid dresses she charged the same amount that the bridal shop quoted us to have it hemmed. But the wedding dress was like more than half the price off from the bridal shops! read more

This shop was once the "best" around - it's now the "Worst". The Mother, Ann, once did all of the work and it was beautiful then the daughter started working there and it went right down hill. Some of my things were almost ruined by this girl. Look around and find another shop. read more
