Spent $325 to alter 6 dresses and 1 skirt to smaller sizes. Expensive but thought it was worth it to be able to wear some of my favorite pieces again. Unfortunately I had to come back twice as two items were incorrect at time of pick up. One dress failed to be shorten and another was still too big. When I returned a week later to pick up the two dresses, one was cutting into my armpit so tightly and had gaps on the chest. The only way it fit comfortably is if my arms are all the way behind my back. Otherwise it digs so deeply into the armpit that it hurts. I was told that due to how large the dress was originally, there was nothing that could be done about the ill fit in the armpit/chest area and just pull it down more. Gave no solution to fix. As experts in the alteration field, they should be clear on what can and can't be done with certain garments. I obviously would not have paid to alter a garment if I'd known it wouldn't fit properly. Unfortunately it is completely unwearable with the chest gaps and extremely tight armpit. Essentially I threw away $46 on that. read more

She was no nonsense. I like my cuffs a little higher than most people. She got it right. I went in Wednesday asked if she could have it ready for me Friday. No problem. read more

Sequin jumpsuit tailored to perfection. It fits like a glove and looks custom. There were no odd darts or seams added. My jumpsuit was ready on time as promised. I couldn't be more pleased. I will be bringing back so many more items! read more

Me and my wife both use Ann's tailors for all of our alterations. She has always given us fair prices and never had any issues with any of our alterations. I have had several jackets and slacks altered here. My wife has had numerous gowns, dresses and slacks altered. I highly recommend her if you live in the Katy area. read more

I use this Fry Rd location of Ann's Tailors and Alterations regularly, and have done so for several years. For me she has hemmed pants length and taken in waist and seat, shortened suit jacket/sport coats sleeves and taken in the sides. She has also made repairs on a leather jacket and jacket lining. Alterations are usually quoted to be done in 7 days but rush requests have been accepted. If an item doesn't fit just right after alterations she adjusts it to make it right without further charge. I've seen her do much more extensive alterations for others. read more

Ann listened and made the exact alterations I needed. She was also fast and reasonably priced.

They provided excellent service for great pricing! They did exactly what I asked for!

If zero stars was an option it would still be giving these people too much credit. I will start by saying that the quality of work is awful. I've attached pictures of my very expensive scrub pants (4 pairs) that were supposed to be taken in at the waist. The grey and light blue scrubs were given back to me with the BACK POCKETS TOUCHING!! I could've done a better job of this myself.. I took the pants back and was told it would take 3 days to take the pockets off and place them back in the normal place, this all occurred in January. Last week (April) I went to tie my drawstrings and as they fell out of my pants I realized that SHE CUT THEM IN HALF TO TAKE IN THE WAIST... SHE CUT ALL OF THEM IN HALF! I now have 4 pairs of scrubs and 8 drawstrings, all of which I took pictures of and posted here. Not only does this place have poor quality but they charged me 80$ to take in the waist of 4 pairs of scrubs... After the drawstrings fell out I returned and simply asked for a refund of my 80$ because the job was so poorly done. After all, my pants were returned to me in worse shape than they were before I took them there. Ann told me that I pulled the strings too hard... HAHAHA! It only got better after this- Kevin "the manager" got on the phone and began raising his voice, telling me that the seamstress had a different story, after about an hour both the seamstress and "the manager" agreed that I would be given a refund. (I didnt ask them to pay for the price of the pants, I simply asked for the money I gave them back). Conveniently, however, the seamstress didn't know how to use the credit card machine to return my money. I was told to come back the next day only to be faced with yet another problem, according to "the manager" there is a 30 day no refund policy, so be ware, they only expect the sewing to last 30 days, anything over that is not under "warranty" . Neither the manager or owner have any idea what they are doing. This was the worst experience I've ever had. TAKE YOUR CLOTHES ANYWHERE ELSE because these people are terrible at their jobs. They were desperate for any reason not to return 80$.. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. read more

We needed a prom dress altered in short notice. Ann did the alteration in 24 hours, did a wonderful job and the price was more than fair. Highly recommend her work and her business overall. read more

I got the worst service, but the work was good. She gave me one day to pick up. I came back two days from the date. She told me she never started to work. She promised me she'll have it done that day. I came back before the close of business and the place was locked up to make matters worse when I came back on Monday to pick up my product she said I didn't see you on Saturday and I said you told me to come back on Friday before you close. Customer service in line to your customer is not good business regardless how good you do work. I will never do business here again. read more

She altered my daughters flower girl dress! No problems at all!! I highly recommend her.

I needed a long formal dress altered on length and closing part of the slit. Ms. Thi knew exactly what I wanted and she did the slit perfectly! I was in a rush when I picked it up and the length seemed fine at the moment, but later on I realized it was still a little too long for my comfort. I contacted Ann's Tailors and Ms. Thi shortened the dress again to my perfect length at no extra charge. She does excellent work! I'll come here again. read more

They are a little expensive, but they always do a good job. After many years of going there, there is only one complaint about an alteration they did to a dress this year; besides charging me $80, the dress fits horribly now. I never talked with the owner (a nice lady) because of a lack of time on my side. read more

This was my first visit to Ann's tailors and alterations and I have nothing but good things to say. When I arrived for an alteration I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. She was sweet and straight forward. The reason that I highly recommend this place and the reason I will be coming in the future is because of the dedication and loyalty she has for her customers. Due to certain circumstances I was not able to pick up my pants and she worked with me and allowed me to pick them up on a day the shop was closed. I am very grateful for this and appreciate their dedication to great service. That day they gained a customer. Thank you! read more

Ann's is the best place to go to for easy, quick, kind and professional tailoring! I've probably gotten over 30 items of clothing altered these past two years, and every time Ann has been able to alter my clothes to the exact measurements I needed and with seamless stitching. I'm also impressed with her quick turnaround time of just one week! This was especially helpful when I needed three bridesmaid dresses to be altered shortly before my friends' weddings. Highly recommend this tailor, the shop owner is so sweet. read more

Found this place here on Yelp and I needed a super quick alterations for a Jacket I was wearing the very next day! She did a great job with the alterations and the time. Although it was a bit pricey I didn't expect it to be reasonable since I needed it in such a short notice. Will definitely return at some point I am sure. read more

Great service & prices. New to the area & I needed a new tailor, followed recommendations & came to Ann's.

I highly reccommend Ann's to anyone that needs alterations to their clothing. I brought in my triple-layer bridesmaid dress to get it hemmed since it was way too long. Ann was very kind and patient while I put my dress and my heels on. She offered me a very reasonable price for a great job! She also saved the fabric scraps for me to wrap around my bouquet. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I've gone to Ann's for both my prom dress alterations and now my wedding dress & both times she has not disappointed. Yes, their english is limited, but Ann & her daughter both try their best to communicate with you & make you visit pleasant. The "fitting room" is a tiny closet, & their floor might have small fabric cuttings that get stuck to your long, dragging wedding dress BUT their service is impeccable & the pricing is soooo reasonable. As far as pricing goes, the bridal boutique where I bought my wedding dress at told me wedding dress alterations START at $200 and can increase from there. For the alterations I needed to get done, I was not about to pay $200+. I took my dress to Ann's and she charged my $40 to fix a few loose beads & the necessary alterations on the straps! You can't beat that price. Oh & did I mention she told me it would be ready in 2 weeks but she got it back to me in half the time! read more

Have used them on several men's alterations. They always meet their timeline. I also appreciate a fair price.

Ann's Tailors is Fantastic ! I am very very happy with the work done on my dress in such a short period of time ! I walked into this place worried because I needed my dress' zipper to be fixed since I was wearing the dress the same day. The lady and her daughter were so friendly and helpful with my concerns ! I put my $7,790 Valentino Garavani dress in their hand and they did an amazing work ! My zipper was working perfect and fixed in a matter of minutes ! Thank you so much for the great customer service and excellent work, I will highly recommend this place to everyone. read more

Ann's Tailors & Alterations - My dress was fixed and looks fabulous! Thank you Ann's Tailors - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Katy, Texas

I dropped a dress off with a 3 day pickup request and she delivered. I highly recommend.

I came in for a last minute adjustment on my bridesmaid dress and they did an awesome job!! I definitely recommend these ladies!!

I've brought pants here on many occasions for patches. Excellent work and very good prices. The owner is very friendly. In busy months (Holiday season) it takes about a week to get something back but otherwise it's pretty quick! read more

I have always felt that it was too much hassle to get my ill-fitting clothes altered. After all, frumpiness can be an art form. However, having recently moved to Texas from a much milder climate, I ordered quite a few linen pants online during a close-out. They ended up being way too big and too long, even for me. After seeing what Ann's did for my niece's wedding gown, I decided to take the pants there. They did an amazing job for a very reasonable price and turnaround. Worth every penny. read more

Excellent work had my suit altered here bc it was too big and she made it fit perfectly.

Had my wedding dress hemmed and had the lace take in on the top and she did a great job from what i can tell. It took her a little over a month to finish it but I was willing to wait for the price! She is very well priced tho on my bridesmaid dresses she charged the same amount that the bridal shop quoted us to have it hemmed. But the wedding dress was like more than half the price off from the bridal shops! read more

This shop was once the "best" around - it's now the "Worst". The Mother, Ann, once did all of the work and it was beautiful then the daughter started working there and it went right down hill. Some of my things were almost ruined by this girl. Look around and find another shop. read more

Terrible customer service. Do not pay up front, but wait until you see the final product since it is very difficult to get money back for terrible quality!! read more
