They do a fine job. I'm from New York and used to have a top notch tailor. They're the only ones I've found around here. I basically have no choice but to go here. I was happy to do so but the last several times they have increased their price on me for the same service. Same exact service....So that's quite disappointing. But again they have a monopoly in this area and so I have no choice. I have looked for others and haven't found anyone else who can actually do what I want in this neighbourhood. However, I was able to take shirts to another place and get the work done as I wanted. Pros: this place was honest up front about not having the skills to complete the work I wanted done. A nice neighborhood seamstress'. They can mend and alter, sew on patches, fix lining, and more. They do fast work at a really fair price. I have tried other locations in Katy but none can patch JN. Basically I could not survive without this nice little shop in the corner of my neighborhood. I was never blessed with a body that fit into store bought clothes and I love to push my clothes out to 10 or 15 years of wear. They don't even break in until they are worn to the point that my wife is ready to throw them out :). When my kids were younger and into scouting we would bring all their advancement patches in for professional looking stitches When they played football, softball and cheerleader we brought in those ill fitting uniforms to make them look right. I always see people getting wedding gowns and tux work done so it seems a good part of their business. They have tightened my suites and then years later let the back out again. One my old leather bomber jacket needed re-lining; JN did that for me. Today I dropped off one of my sport coats because the liner is starting to lose it. I came in here because I needed two measurements done and I had a piece of paper in my hand write it down. The lady who owns the place walked in and said "Can I help you?" I proceeded to say , "I needed some measurements done" and she immediately said "No I don't have time."I said "They are two measurements."She said "Well I see your paper and it has a list of things I need to measure. " So I followed up with ," There are only two that I need." So she starts talking to another customer and said "People come in here with long measurements and I am really busy." The customer starts smirking. Even though she gave me what I needed, she was rude, assumptive , no people skills, and unprofessional. You know what happens when you assume, you make an a** out of yourself. That lady was just that. What is funny is that, she doesn't know me from a can of paint and doesn't know that I spend a lot of money getting clothes tailored. I was looking for a place closer to where I live but all that goes out the window. I should've listened to the reviews. Don't go in here. This place is horrible. read more

They do an amazing job fixing whatever you need for an insanely reasonable price. I recently had 5 pieces that needed to be altered and they only charged $50 for everything!! WHAT A DEAL!If you need something hemmed or taken in, I don't know why you'd go anywhere else but here. People who have been leaving negative reviews for this business were just bitter that they didn't get what they want...who goes to a tailor to have an entire dress made? So incredibly lovely and kind. I brought in a reception dress that had been semi-ruined by another alterations place, close to my wedding date. She made me feel much better while also being realistic about the fixes they could do. She set good expectations but also said they were going to try their best. I walked in this place last Friday 9/27 to have alternation done on a formal dress that I need back the next day for my event. They turned around the alternation the next day. DO NOT GO HERE! THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS!! I never leave reviewed but I was outraged about the service I received today! I dropped off a pair of vintage LEE jeans and went to pick them up and they took off the leather tag on the back and replaced it with just a plain scrap piece of leather! When I showed the manager a picture of the original tag she claimed they couldn't reattach it and when I told her I would reattach it myself if they would just give it to me AND was still willing to pay for them she said they threw it away! Then to make matters worse when I told her she had no right to do that without telling me she scoffed and threw my jeans at me said no "no charge, now get out I don't want to see you again!" I have never been shown such disrespect! I was willing to pay for the pants and the manager tried to sell them to me knowing they had done that! Anyways this is the most dishonest establishment I have ever been to and I do NOT recommend going there. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one they've done this to thats the sad part. read more

Came here to get three of my jeans altered, and they did an absolutely phenomenal job! Two of the jeans I needed to bring in at the waist and all three were a bit loose in the crotch area, and they fixed them all up perfectly. I went in on Monday, and it was about a 10-15 min process overall of trying on my jeans and showing them what needed to be fixed (no appt necessary). Came in the following Monday, and they were ready to go! I'm sure if I had needed them earlier, they would've been able to accommodate as well. Overall the ladies working there were very kind, helpful, and efficient. The price did not even reflect the quality of the work - it was relatively inexpensive for all the work I had done. Will definitely be coming back if I need any more alterations done. read more

I came here based on good reviews for some minor fixes, however my experience was not good. I dropped off 2 pair of jeans and a jacket to have the zippers fixed in late June, I came back about 2 weeks later and jeans were done. I PAID for them and was told the jacket was not ready and they would call when it's ready. Nobody ever called. I sent my bf to pick up his jacket with the receipt and lady tells him I never paid for my jeans and tells him it's $10 each for my jeans and $30 to fix the non sliding zipper on his jacket that took months to fix and no phone call to even let us know anything about it. Kinda strange since she charged me $15 each for the jeans in July. Already got the money and then collected $10 each on top of that from my bf. He went back up there to get a refund on what she overcharged him as that was just not right. After a little bit of confusion and somehow them suddenly not being able to communicate with the language barrier (though there wasn't one until no one was in the shop) So. Maybe it's $10 Maybe it's $15, who knows how much the zipper fix is depending on the day. If you need more reasons not to come here. 1) parking is difficult. 2) The zipper replacement fix was not fixed, they didn't bother to sew up the seam they ripped to take off old zipper so there's still a 1 inch hole beside the zipper. I would find another tailor that would perhaps so quality work and these mistakes wouldn't happen. read more

I was discriminated against by the owner. she was so rude and disgusting to me. She wouldn't honor the price she mentioned over the phone when I called her. She didn't get a dollar of my money and I hope she learns that everyone is equal and treat people right no matter what they look like. I was looking a tailor to get some suit measurements. As I'm checking yelp, my wife sees me looking at this shop and suggests not going. Apparently a while back she had brought in some fabric and the pattern for them to make her dress. It took them 3 weeks and over $300 dollars to get the dress done and once complete the fit was extremely poor. Buyer beware. read more

They are ok for small stuff, like hems, jackets, i would never suggest taking your wedding dress here, or any other long dress for that matter. They pay no attention to your dress getting dirty on the bottom and drag them all around the dirty floors. I brought my wedding dress to them and asked if they could put something on the floor so my white dress wouldnt get dirty and she said no, you can bring something!!?? but i trust them with pants and small stuff.. they are good for that... :) read more
