Sarah rocks! I was looking to get a dress altered for my office holiday party on 12/4. I expected the dress to arrive before the thanksgiving holiday, but I didn't receive it until Monday (11/30) night. I found Sarah on yelp and it said that she had extended hours, so I gave her a call on Tuesday to see if she can do a 24-hour turnaround. She said no problem and I made an appointment at 6:30 on Wednesday. I work downtown and live in Cypress and I ride the bus to and from work. Of course on the day of my appointment there was a wreck in the HOV lane and my bus was stopped for almost an hour. I called Sarah to explain and cancel my appointment, thinking I would have tot wear a different dress to the party, but she said if I could make it before 9 to come when I can. I made it, had a great meeting and fitting, she explained everything she was going to do to my dress and wrote me up a quote. I couldn't believe she didn't charge me a fee for the 24-hour turnaround I requested! The next night I went back to pick up the dress and it fit like a dream! The stitching looked really nice and I couldn't tell it had been altered at all! I am going to make another appointment with her to get some of my work pants fitted! They also do shoes/bags/belts etc. repair in the store not far from her home, where I had my appointment. I think I am going to take some of my boyfriend's older work shoes there to get some TLC. So I just got my cosplay dress back from Sarah today and it looks AMAZING on me! I had orginally ordered the dress only with the option of getting it custom sized and even sent over my measurements. In the end they ended up sending me a XX large, mind you my body doesnt match the usual size and thats why I ordered custom. Im slim in the waist and top heavy. The dress came in with enough room to fit my chest but too much room around my waist. I found Sarah by Yelp and took the chance. Best choice ever, I came in and she was very friendly and fast. It only too her 15 minutes for her to see what needed to be done for the dress to fit to my body! I was expecting the price to be high since its alteration and the material was pleather but it was really low! I felt like i was cheating her for some reason and ended up tipping 10$ because she was such a delight and her end work is amazing. The dress doesnt even look like its been altered to fit me and it hugs me so nicely. She did it within one week exactly. I cosplay often so I will definetly be returning to Sarah dor future custom fittings. read more

Wow! I am so glad I found Sarah. I bought 2 wedding dresses from BHLDN and was going to use the tailor they had recommended. Unfortunately when I checked that place out she had some seriously mixed reviews and I just couldn't risk it with my dresses. Hopped on yelp and found Sarah instantly. Her reviews spoke for themselves so I called the number. I didn't realize she worked out of her home and text is actually the preferred method of contact but she said it was okay and actually let me come in immediately so she could take the measurements. She ended up bringing my dress in a total of 4 inches and did such a great job that you would have never known it had been altered. For the quality of work she did, I had absolutely no problem paying the $50 for her services. I am so glad I found her because she will forever be my preferred tailor. I didn't need a rush job so I didn't have an issue with the 2 week time frame she gave me from drop off to pick up but she was so kind that I'm sure if you asked, she would do her best to meet whatever timeline you had. read more

5 Stars for Express Alteration!!!! Sarah is an expert seamstress with alterations! My first experience was to have sleeves enlarged on a new dress I had bought. No problem, Sarah made the sleeves so my arms were comfortable in the dress Second experience I bought a gorgeous pair of GUESS embroidered jeans. The problem: they were too small. Too cute to leave on the store rack, plus they were on sale,they didn't have my size. Thought: Sarah Express Alterations can fix this. And she did in less than a weeks time. I tried them on,she measured 3 inches to add on for a perfect fit. I did take an old pair of jeans so she could cut and use where ever she needed to. Went back for gorgeous jeans, you can hardly tell where they were let out and pieced. Can't wait to wear them. Pricing is very reasonable depending on what needs to be done. Sarah is absolutely incredible. Worth far more than she charges. (So I say tip!) I was leaving town and had wedding photo redo's in a couple days and wasn't happy with the way my dress was fitting and wanted it taken in at the waist. I had to leave the next morning and wasn't sure I could get it done where I was traveling to before the photo shoot. She was so accommodating! I dropped it off that night at 5pm and she had it for me at 8am the next morning before I left! Not only that but when she was pinning the waist she pointed out how the lace didn't lay as nicely around my shoulders as it could. I was reluctant to let her cut more of the lace but decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did!!!!! I wish the dressed had looked that amazing at my actual wedding!! Wow i didnt know she had a yelp page haha Anyways.. I was skeptical about the home visitation at first but she is very friendly and NOTHING to worry about. I had a trench coat looking shirt that was little boxy and bland. Found a flyer on my door about a alteration job. I called her up and asked if she could open up the sides (picture 2) of the shirt and crease (picture 1) the back. She said sure and made an appointment for her to come in and measure. Her coming in to tailor was a bit odd but turned out amazing! Just like how I wanted. And this whole thing was 20 bucks which was worth every penny. If you ever have any alteration needs, go to Sarah! She is the sweetest lady and if there are any concerns she will fix whatever it may be that you want fixed! I took my prom dress to her and it was a size too big with the challengd of a beaded top to account for. After just about everything about the dress was changed, it turned out perfect and fit like a glove and looked so perfect. All of the changes were unnoticeable and it was absolutely amazing, I left absolutely floored at how hard she worked and at how well it was done. I was nervous giving my prom dress to anyone to mark and cut and sew up again and if you feel the same, you will not be disappointed with Sarah at all! She is the best! read more

I ordered a dress online and when it came in on Wednesday, it was a little big on me. I had an event to wear it to Saturday, so I was getting worried. I looked online for a seamstress near me and found Sarah. I chose her because she had the best yelp reviews (which I can now see why)! I called her immediately and she asked if I could bring it by that evening. She lives close, so I brought it over and she had it ready for me by Friday! Not only was she super sweet and fast...she does great work as the dress fits PERFECTLY! Can not recommend her enough. She is wonderful! Very convenient, fast, friendly and quality service/work. Sarah was very friendly and worked on a dress I just needed hemmed for a wedding. She was able to complete it quickly (because of course I waited until the last minute) and even texted me when she finished it a day earlier than expected!! She did very good work and was very sweet. I will definitely be going to her again in the future. Just an FYI: she has another location but this location is a house. I didn't see that in any of the other reviews and so when I first arrived I was a little confused and had to call her to make sure I was at the correct place. Sarah was amazing!! I am a newer resident to the area and needed to find someone to do my alterations for Bridesmaid dress. Sarah had great reviews so I tried her out, and they were right! She was very quick and her work was amazing! My dress had lace capped sleeves and lace back that I was so worried about having touched, but she did an amazing job taking that in for me! And her pricing is very reasonable. I wish I had taken my wedding dress to her because I was charged A LOT more at the boutique I bought it from. I study at the Texas Maritime Acadmy and I am required to wear a Navy regulate khaki uniforms. When I bought them, they were little too big for me so I came to this place to have them tailored. Now... I've never tailored a shirt before so I was little hesitant because I didn't know what to say or do. Fortunately, the tailor knew exactly what I was talking about and did everything and I didn't have to say a single word. Oh and she also did my pants. All I can say is "WOW"! Sarah is super nice and crazy good! I wasn't sure what to expect at first, but she's very professional and her work is excellent. It's a small single person operation but she can do turn around jobs very quickly. My experience was excellent and I will use her from now on for all our tailoring needs. She also mentioned to me that she does letter jacket patches and that kind of stuff, as she is very close to KHS- which is something I was asked to check with her about. Sarah is wonderful. I had her take in my scrub bottoms and fix my ratty old comforter that I have had since I was a child. She worked on the price for me, and went above and beyond my expectations. We agreed on a certain amount of work, and she did more than we agreed on to make sure I would be happy with the result, with no extra charge. In addition, she picked up the phone every time I called and knew me by name. She works out of her own home and has fantastic hours for the typical working person. I drove to Sarah's after finding Express Alterations through Google searching "alterations". She fixed my daughters flower girl dress that was ordered from Oklahoma. It was too big, and we needed it in less than 6 days! Sarah took in 1.5" from each side, adjusted the strap length and moved them inward, and did a quick stitch on the front to fix the neckline. Sarah was a lifesaver, I called her 3 days before a wedding desperately needing my bridesmaid dress altered as well as my husband's pants taken out and she was willing to do some major alterations within 48 hours and didn't even charge me extra for the inconvenience. I waited til the last minute, but Sarah altered my dress perfectly and super fast. My dress had lots of pleats which she ironed back to perfection.
