After a drizzly day of walking around an island and buildings made of stone centuries ago, my dress was stained beyond anything I expected. My photographer was kind of enough to bring the dress back to the states while my husband and I honeymooned in Europe. When I returned, 2 weeks later, I grabbed the suitcase from him and went directly to Lynda to get it cleaned before our U.S. reception. When we opened the case, the smell of mold came wafting out. The dress was actually still wet after two weeks. I asked her to just do whatever she could do and was preparing myself for my dress never being the same. Then I went to pick it up and was greeted with a dress that looked the exact same as when I picked it up from the designer. I was ecstatic. Lynda worked a miracle with this.

She also did three of my pants that I needed hemmed a couple of years ago too, and she also did my taekwondo uniforms when I was growing up (more than ten years ago), so I was well confident in her abilities. It was about a week out from the date we needed it, but due to some extra days the biz was going to be closed, Susie was honest that it might not be ready in time, depending on how much it needed to be altered. Thankfully, she did a few dress hacks, and very minal work was needed and we got it days before the dance. And it was less than $40. Probably cheaper than her cute dress. They do take CC, but no AMEX. Just a heads up.

I've been coming to Nancy for a few years to get alternations and never had any issues until…read morerecently. I took my dress to Nancy to get it hemmed and it did not turn out the way I liked. There were two areas that needed to be corrected, the shoulder and the length of the dress (it was too long). The shoulder was corrected, and I have no issue with her correcting that part of the dress. However, the length of the dress was too short, and the stitching was sloppy. The seams had uneven curves and were not straight. It looks like a non-experienced person who worked on it. I had to find an alternate route to wear the dress. I ended up wearing flats and that made me feel self-conscious. I spent $60 to have the dress fix and it is upsetting that my expectation was not met. Needless to say, I will not be a returning customer. (I will share photos later.)
